WARNING!!!! Do NOT USE THIS MAN!!!!…read more Lorenz came to my home and told me I had a simple oil leak and towed my car to the "shop" on a Friday. We had some bad weather and he stated that they needed until Wednesday to complete the job. I paid him $40 for diagnostics and then $150 for the tow. Then sent $550 for parts. I also got a rental for 5 days through budget rent a car which cost me 500$ Wednesday came and it wasn't done. He said it would be done Thursday. I got the rental another day. Another $68 and $15 extension fee. Friday came and he said it's still not done. So after a week I have paid over 1k and it's not done. He promised it would be done the following Tuesday by 8pm. I returned rental that morning. At 9pm when he didn't show up he texted that he was done but there was still an oil leak. WHAT!!!!! He said he had parts and needed until Monday. Monday morning I asked him if it was going to be completed as promised and he said no. He needed til Wednesday. So 13 days he has had my car and it's in the same condition. I just had enough and sent a tow truck to their shop to get my car. When tow truck arrived it was at someone's house. They told me it was a mechanic shop. It's a random house on a sketchy neighborhood and my car sitting in front untouched with snow covering it still. He misled me as he had a shop. He just paid google bc he was the first to pop up. I trusted him and he lied several times. I am now at a mechanic shop hats legit and have had to get ANOTHER rental car for the week. This guy has lied and set me back almost 1500 and my car is in the same condition as it was 13 days ago. Do not trust him

$450 for an oil change and fuel filter on a 2017 Duramax is straight-up insane. They tried hiding…read morebehind the word "diesel" like that magically justifies robbery. The fuel filter itself is a $30 to $40 part, and swapping it is basic maintenance, not some engine-out surgery. Then they hit me with a $250 charge for that alone because of "labor." Absolute joke. This place clearly thinks diesel owners are clueless and willing to pay whatever number they throw on the invoice. Nothing about this service justified that price. No transparency, no reasonable breakdown, just inflated charges and excuses. An oil change on a Duramax already costs more than a gas truck because of oil capacity and filter size, but this was pure gouging. If you own a diesel truck, avoid this shop unless you enjoy getting fleeced. There are plenty of honest diesel shops that won't treat routine maintenance like a luxury exotic-car service. I'll never come back, and I'd strongly recommend other diesel owners stay far away.

They snap your dipstick tube by going in and probably yanking things around like a wildabeast and don't tell you! So then your car starts to run like crap and you wonder what could it be, you spend a lot of time testing sensors doing smoke, evap tests and nothing how peculiar, you go and take a look and wow the once perfectly fine dipstick is snapped in half and releasing oil and more importantly vaccum so your car that should work well runs like a 3 legged dog, awesome!

Location: Brandt Pike, Huber Heights Ohio Website:…read morehttps://www.valvoline.com/recommended-auto-services/oil-change Hours: see website Service: Excellent Price: On par with this service; consider using app for coupons App: Very good. You can download the Valvoline app and see approximate wait times before stopping by, if desired - quite accurate. I downloaded it while waiting in line and it reflected the current wait. It's also the easiest way to use coupons - all virtual, no printing, no paper. Need an oil change, fast? Consider Valvoline. Available nationwide, I've used them throughout Ohio in the Toledo and Columbus area - this was my first visit to a Dayton branch. First impression? Great teamwork. I observed the 3-bay teams working together to make sure cars in line were queued as fairly as possible and work to service the cars in the bay with impressive orchestration. This location also has a camera available so you can see what is happening beneath your vehicle in near real-time (about a 30-second delay); which distracted me into thinking about the last CIA operative show I watched and wondered if this would be a good way to add a tracking device to people of interest. Anyway ... it's a neat feature. If you are having a standard oil change, count on your fluids being refilled and filters changed but you will also be asked for other services like windshield wiper replacement. Despite my son calling me a "sucker" - I appreciate having this done every 2nd or 3rd oil change and always having it done - but you do you. No judgement, here. Anyway ... budget about 20-30 minutes for your service and each car ahead of you in line and that should be close. This meant I could easily fit this into an afternoon or early evening of errands. Always an easy way to take care of my car. The team in Huber Heights is excellent. They discovered an issue from my last oil change - the technician (there) stripped my oil drain plug so it could not be removed and I had to take it to a dealer and pay $300 for that repair. My claim (which this branch started on my behalf) is pending - but they handled this situation impeccably well. Sure, my 20 minute errand turned into 2 hours between waiting for 3 clients ahead of me in line and then the situation with my car - but the team brought in the manager to address and he personally took my receipt from the last oil change and started a claim for me to be reimbursed. That was all above and beyond expectations - especially since the service causing the issue was not this location. So, I will likely always go to my dealer for this type of service in the future. But - the second I do not own a car requiring special tools to do these simple tasks I will absolutely consider Valvoline again.

On June 25, 2026, I brought my vehicle to Valvoline for what I expected to be a routine oil change…read more At the time of service, my vehicle was not experiencing any transmission issues. I was not seeking transmission repairs, nor was I reporting any concerns with my transmission. My vehicle was operating normally. During this visit, Valvoline employees recommended an automatic transmission fluid replacement, commonly referred to as a transmission flush. I trusted the recommendation of their technicians because I believed they were providing professional advice based on what was best for my vehicle. I agreed to the service because I relied on Valvoline's expertise and expected that any recommended maintenance would be appropriate and safe. Had Valvoline informed me that this service was not recommended for my vehicle, that my vehicle's mileage made it a potential risk, or that the service could result in transmission issues, I would have declined. Valvoline had all the information needed to make that determination before performing the service, including the vehicle's mileage. Less than three weeks after Valvoline performed the transmission flush, my vehicle began experiencing serious transmission problems that it had never experienced before. Prior to this service, I had no transmission concerns. The timing of these issues immediately following a service recommended and performed by Valvoline is extremely concerning. This vehicle is my only means of transportation. I have always maintained my vehicle responsibly and taken steps to keep it reliable. Instead of receiving a routine maintenance service that helped protect my vehicle, I am now left dealing with a major mechanical issue, stress, inconvenience, and the possibility of significant repair costs. When I returned to the Valvoline location to report the problem, I expected the company to stand behind the service it recommended and performed. Instead, I was told they could not assist me. I filed a claim with Valvoline Corporate, and my vehicle was sent to Bigger Automotive for diagnostic testing as part of the review process. Despite the investigation, Valvoline has continued to deny responsibility and claim that the issues existed before their service. However, I have been advised that the transmission flush should not have been performed on my vehicle under the circumstances. Additionally, the new manager at the Valvoline location stated that he personally would not have performed this service on my vehicle. This raises serious concerns about why the service was recommended and sold to me in the first place. If Valvoline's own management believes the service should not have been performed, then Valvoline should accept responsibility for the fact that I relied on their recommendation as a customer. A consumer should not be expected to know that a service recommended by automotive professionals may not be appropriate. That responsibility belongs with the company and its trained employees. I was also offered a free oil change as a resolution. This is completely unacceptable considering the circumstances. A free oil change does not address the transmission problems that developed after Valvoline's recommended service, nor does it compensate me for the financial burden, loss of reliable transportation, and stress this situation has caused. Valvoline has also attempted to shift responsibility by focusing on the mileage of my vehicle. This is not a valid excuse. Valvoline knew the mileage before recommending and performing the transmission flush. If they believed the mileage made the service inappropriate, then they had a professional responsibility to tell me that before performing the service. They cannot recommend and charge for a service and then use the same information they already had available as a reason to deny responsibility afterward. I have also repeatedly been told that the location is now under new management. While I understand that management changes happen, that has nothing to do with my situation. I was not dealing with the new management when the service was recommended and performed. A change in management does not erase the responsibility of the business or remove the company's obligation to address a customer complaint fairly. At this point, I believe Valvoline has failed to demonstrate accountability, integrity, and good faith in resolving this matter. I trusted Valvoline's recommendation, paid for the service they advised me to receive, and now I am left with a vehicle experiencing transmission problems shortly afterward. The company should be responsible for the
