I've used Takeout Hero several times, and am mostly pleased. No, they won't deliver to you in 15 minutes; you will need to give them a good hour. But if you are anything like me (sometimes, I don't care if I have to wait - as long as I don't have to leave the house!), then you will plan and order your dinner at 5. I had great experiences using this service to deliver from Jimmy Belle's (which unfortunately just closed) and Beef O'Brady's - but I will never order from Tapatio's again... these orders took well over an hour, and the food sort of congealed (which, may be just what happens when you get Mexican food delivered). Anyway, I do think an hour and a half is a bit too long to wait. Don't order if you want them to come exactly at a specific time. They aren't catering, they are delivering food because you were too lazy to leave the house =) If you keep it all in perspective and you don't have crazy expectations, Takeout Hero is a really handy option to have. read more

We order from takeout hero/bite squad 3xs a week or more due to our kids having busy lives! Tonight we finally get home place an order for the boneless platter which is 2lbs boneless wings and loaded fries..... Once I opened the box I contacted bite squad and was offered a $15 credit on a $49 order I said that was unacceptable and was offered $25 and then I asked what would they suggest I feed 6 people loaded fries..... Needless to say this company will not be receiving much if any of my money..... didn't offer to have it remade and delivered! High disappointed as now it's 10:30pm and I have to go out and grab my kids food!! read more

Terrible customer service, terrible first impression. Ordered from TooJay's and requested a few side items, fries, garlic aioli, mayo, ketchup... Got a $30 cold sandwich and slice of cake! That was it... They didn't even leave me with a fork for my cake! When I called to complain, I get told that they'll refund me the $2.50 for the fries I initially paid for and they would also take care of the outrageous $7 delivery fee. So I want to start by saying I normally love this service, but for the SECOND TIME in a week I've had an issue with you guys, on Valentines day I ordered (which I understand is a super busy night) and was quoted an hour and a half wait time.. Fine, that wasn't a problem.. But after 2 hours and 15-20mins my food finally arrived. I contacted you guys thru email via the link on your app.. Still haven't received any response. And tonight I placed and order WAY before you closed and almost am hour later get a phone call stating my order was being canceled because the restaurant was closing in 15mins and you closed your ordering system for the night.. I've used this service numerous times because my place of work is out of reach for other delivery services and I don't get a very long lunch break. I kept giving them chances and after they merged with bite squad I thought things would get better, but they didn't. Food still comes to you wrong and cold. They offered me a free delivery on them but it still takes an hour or two for your food to be delivered. I will not be using this service in the future or ever. read more

Absolute rip off. They claim that there is no hidden fees and you can get food delivered for as low as $3.99. What they don't tell you is that they mark up the food menu prices almost $15%. Then charge a delivery fee on top of that. I guess it might not be so bad if you're ordering for just yourself and you want to pay the extra $1.50 plus a $5 delivery fee but for a family of 3 or 4, or a business that orders lunch for its employees on Fridays, it'll be an extra $20 compared to if you just drove and picked it up yourself. read more

I would give them zero stars if possible. Takeout Hero has NEVER been great service. Way overpriced and they collude with the restaurants to charge even higher prices over the regular menu price and you wait forever for your food. They supposedly improved by partnering with Bite Squad and be warned - IT IS THE WORST SERVICE EVER!! They delivered my pizza and it was obviously dropped or something as all the ingredients fell off the pizza and on to the side of the box and was stuck all over the lid to the point it was starting to soak through when she delivered it. She had the nerve to try and pretend nothing was wrong and ran off to her car. When I contact Bite Squad, you can talk to anyone, you are only able to chat. They give you no phone number. They could care less about trying to go above and beyond after this major screw up and simply offer to refund only the price of the pizza. Not the delivery charge and I had to tell them to refund the tip. When I tell them their apathy is unacceptable and would result in a bad review - Gerardo J (the guy on the chat) literally replies. "Sure. Thank you for using Bite Squad. Have a great day!" and promptly ends the chat. Zero effort to try and go above and beyond. These guys could care less about customer service which is awful given their entire business is about customer service!! Unfortunately they are the only game in town to my knowledge but if you know of ANYONE else, I highly recommend using them. Takeout Hero/Bite Squad is AWFUL. read more

I love this delivery service. They deliver for a large variety of restaurants in the Lakeland / Winter Haven area. You are not limited to just pizza with Takeout Hero. All of their drivers are very friendly and courteous. It's very easy to order online. Will not use again , I used take out hero twice before , the first time no complaines. The second time , I orders I orders also from winner circles north side and I had u completed order. But I refinished it to late . This order not that you just wait 1.5 hours for your food ( winner circles again) I had cold wings which I orders 20 Parmesan and garlic and ten teriyaki lemon chilli ..two extra ranch dressing two chilli and fired mushrooms ) I did spent a lot of money to receive cold wings :( 10 Parmesan garlic 10 teriyaki lemon chilli and ten I don't know what it was .. All cold ... The two potions chilli also cold .. Gladly the delievery guy didn't leave in a rush so I caught him , to tell him that mushrooms are missing .. So ok he drove back to get those .. My ranch dressing also was missing I payed over 5o$ for that I had to reheat everything , that I got not really what I orderd or a half hour later atleast almost the complete order . Take out hero has been pretty wonderful overall. They deliver quicker than the suggested time and are very friendly and efficient. However it is very ridiculous that you would be closed by 8 o'clock on a Sunday. I understand Lakeland is not the largest town but seriously, 8pm? If you are actually trying to get Lakeland regulars interested in using this company on a regular basis you need to take into account that a lot of us work on the weekends and closing at 8 is ridiculous. read more
