We went on a Sunday at 3 pm. It was pretty empty inside. Just one couple at a table wrapping up and 4 guys at the bar watching the NFL games. The reason for all this info is to paint a clear picture that it was not busy at all, but our small order of one burger and chicken wings took exactly one hour. There was just one lady working both the bar and the floor. Now, we picked this place because after reviewing all the spots in the area, they seemed to have good-looking wings and decent food. That is all correct. My partner enjoyed her burger so much and I can honestly say these were some of the best wings I've had. They were large in size and had the perfect crispy crunch of skin. The lone bartender on a sleepy Friday night was an asshole to us the moment we sat down. We asked for Miller Lite but got cut off to be told they only have so-and-so bottles. Basically, only other varieties of mower beer like Coors and Bud. Okay. Cool. Nice attitude, bro. We ordered a couple shots and basic cocktails. When he finally came around to ask if we wanted another round (after sitting a long time with empty cups), I politely asked for a water and a Coke. He gave me the dirtiest look and without saying a word, walked away. At least he did bring my drinks, but by this time, I was so appalled that I just wanted to leave. His attitude the entire visit was enough to tell us we were not welcomed here. We paid our tab and left and would not recommend this place to visitors. read more

Yank's is seemingly a unique spot off the Clifton Hill strip, in that it offers a down to earth vibe with good food and reasonable prices. A group of us decided to come in a bit earlier for a drink and appetizers. We ordered a few pitchers, the first a local brew with the next being Seemans original. For food, the Yelp reviews were spot on about the Mexican Cheesecake, a calorie laden, dense mixture of cheese, beef and jalapeno with rounded store bought nachos surrounding the pyrex serving dish. My little guy ordered a single burger, but note the fries would need to be ordered seperately. We also shared a tasty thin crust pizza which was topped with veg, including red pepper and zucchini, a nice accompaniment to the cold beer. Overall, as others stated a good alternative to the other establishments in the area. Definately something a bit more casual and relaxed vibe. read more

The "cheesecake" isn't really a cheesecake and it's not dessert. It's a dip with nachos and it's amazing. It does have a good kick to it so you need to like spicy. With covid right now they are outside on the street which is a good atmosphere. The menu however is limited. We really enjoyed our drinks and dip. read more

Stopped by this bar after seeing a picture on here of they're naked nachos. It was also game 5 of the NBA series so the place had a good crowd. Oddly, there was only one person working the bar but somehow service was still pretty quick. I ordered poutine (never had it and what better time than the present?) And those nachos, spicy. My husband ordered sweet chili wings and French fries. Because I don't have a standard with which to measure the poutine, I'll just say I didn't like it. I did enjoy the nachos and really loved the wings. We demolished the entire pound in about 2 minutes. My only complaint is that the sodas were weak. I didn't like this place because: - there is no parking - the service is incredibly slow. we waited over an hour for our food. there was 1 other table at the restaurant, so it wasn't because they were busy - The food was mediocre. Between six people we tried A LOT. Caesar salad has no Parmesan cheese on it. Pizza is grease with a side of bread and cheese. Wings don't have enough sauce. Mexican casserole uses the cheap tortilla chips that you find at the ball park. - they were out of the cider we wanted to order - there is no music. and no juke box. The food prices are cheap, and the server friendly but not attentive. I recommending finding a better place to eat. read more

Yanks was way off the beaten path. We ended up here after the place we had planned to was closed. It was a very quite day and we were the only people in the whole place for awhile. Then it looked like a few regulars came in closer to dinner time and sat at the bar. Prices were good and I could tell this is a local place. It was clean and our service was good. We also enjoyed our food. The Poutine and wings were great! It was a good distance from our hotel and not close to the main Niagara activities, but we got off the bus on the way back from the Niagara walk along the river. My husband and I had been to Yanks so we decided to take our family there. It's a great restaurant and bar. Quiet place if you want to relax after a busy day. Service is great and food is even better. We ordered Cajun spiced chicken wings, Mrs. Abbru's Mexican Cheesecake and Classic Poutine. I will say that Mrs. Abbru's is their star dish, it's layered with cheese, ground beef and salsa and is served with Nachos. To be precise it's just PERFECTO!! Poutine was good but there is definitely room for improvement. The wait for the food was over 1 hour wait. There were only 2 waitress in the whole bar and restaurant but it was an unacceptable wait time. My 2 friends and I walked into the restaurant and didn't see any visible waiters. We had to walk to the bar to grab menus for ourselves. Waited at the bar to get our orders taken but the waiter told us to take a seat. She's comes by shortly to take our order. We waited for more than 1 hour for 3 of the same burgers with fries. One friend goes up to ask about when the food will arrive but the waiter tells her that other people have been waiting for 40 mins. Instead of apologizing for the wait, she became very rude. About one hour in, we tried waving down the server but she ignores us. She comes by shortly to bring the condiments. We asked what the ETA of the food would be and she said she doesn't know. We were visiting Niagara Fall, and was planning to try poutine, the Canadian classic. The restaurant was located very close to Niagara Fall area within minutes of walking distance. The restaurant was not well-lighted, we were reading our menu under the street light. We ordered the Mexican cheesecake and poutine. The food came out fast and hot. Mexican cheesecake is basically a Mexican dip we usually make for potlucks with chips. It was layered with ground beef, cheese, beans, Rotel, and some pickled jalapeños. The flavor was good with a decent shareable portion as the appetizer. It wasn't as spicy as the description on the menu to me.Poutine was the classic fries with cheese and gravy. We didn't enjoyed it too much, it was too heavy for us. I guess we are just not used to it. The checkout process was very efficient. All restaurants we went to in Canada use clover, you will pay with card at your table, and the hand-hold terminal will print receipts. We would love to come back if we are in the area. read more

Our group was looking for a place to eat that wasn't touristy. We found it at Yanks. If you continue to walk up, through the craziness of Clifton Hill, you'll find this gem. Small little place like a pub, serve was happy and wanting to help. My wife ordered a huge chefs salad and it looked and tasted amazing. My son and I ordered 2 pounds of wings. Our wings were amazing. We were very happy with the food, service and restaurant. But please know that Yanks isn't a new establishment but older. But don't let that fool you.
