Takumi is so good had to come back again! Went with the beef stir fry ramen, grilled zucchini with a little spicy sauce on top, and shrimp tempura. Always quick and friendly service. Food never disappoints. Great tunes and great vibes too. Must try if in the area!

Things I'm thankful for? Takumi Ramen. Another beautiful bowl of delicious ramen. I ordered the chicken ramen this time. It's grilled chicken, a half of a marinated egg, black fungus, bamboo shoots and garlic oil in a chicken bone broth. 10/10 friends, 10/10! I feel super blessed and thankful everytime I get to eat at this establishment! I say I'm going to try everything on the menu, but the ramen gets me everytime lol! Thank you guys again for being so yummy and consistent in your food! This place is always so warm and cozy m. The service is great and as always, if you haven't give them a try, you absolutely should! Happy New Year, guys!

Let me just start by explaining the each section and how I scored a 3/5. The interior of the space felt cozy and welcoming. It was comfortable and spacious inside the main space. There was plenty of seating and even a large table for a large gathering. The night that I went, we were quickly greeted and then sat down. However, when it came to service, there wasn't enough staff to accommodate the customers. You either get the plates, spoons, and water all at once or you wait until they're free to bring you the utensils. I saw both happen that night. When it came to the food, I ran into a friend who ordered the spicy miso. She gave me a warning that it's very spicy. So when I was ordering the spicy miso, we asked for less spicy. We also ordered the tonkatsu noodle and the unagidon. The unagi rice did not come as pictured on the menu. There's a piece of tofu that got swapped with kimchi. In addition, the miso soup that came with the rice was... salty. We contemplated if we should pour some water to even it out. In the end, we decided not to drink it. The noodle was average and wasn't anything special. We all finished the food but decided that there was better ramen elsewhere.

Takumi Ramen is my go to place when I'm craving some ramen. I came in on Friday after having been there with my sister that last Saturday. The ramen comes out so quick even if the place is busy. Sometimes the ramen comes out with the appetizer! The strawberry Yakult tea is my new favorite drink

Service was almost comically bad (I think our server was brand new) but we will absolutely be back to Takumi! Takumi is in the heart of Pilsen, where SKY used to reside and has the same upscale interior. They're still settling into the space, but the ramen was really exceptional. I had the spicy miso ramen which was so light and delicious with a perfect kick. My husband's spicy tonkatsu ramen was super rich and flavorful. We also had an order of gyoza which were good, but nothing too special. The ramen is the real star here!

This is the BEST ramen I've had! Probably 2nd favorite in Chicago! My daughter got the Kimchi Ramen, my husband got the Spicy Tonkotsu and I got the Miso Ramen, all 3 were perfect! I don't like when my ramen is too salty but the broth here was heavenly! ‍ The vibe is pretty chill, perfect for a date night, anniversary, birthday & quick bite. The service was fast. It's fairly new but I'm hoping they stick around for a long time!

We ordered: 1. Seafood Stir-Fry Ramen 2. Takumi Tonkotsu Ramen 3. Chicken Karaage Decent restaurant overall. Tonkotsu broth had the right flavor and creaminess. Ramen egg and chashu were properly cooked. Stir fry ramen is pretty sweet and exactly what you'd expect. FYI, according to waiter, the stir fry sauce is the same across the stir fry options; just the toppings are different. My shrimp was perfectly cooked. Chicken Karaage was not really Karaage but more like Taiwanese style popcorn chicken; still tasty and big portion! Matcha latte and Thai Tea is the similar cheap stuff you'll find at most other restaurants that don't specialize in coffee/tea like cafes. This is an acceptable spot to get your ramen fix. No issues with service.

Formerly as SKY, the original interior design of this restaurant is preserved as is and holds up quite well. However, the quality of food doesn't quite match to the echelon level the space builds up its hype. The dishes ordered were all quite oily and the chicken karaage is prepared with quite the grating cornmealy batter and the chicken meat is fatty and full of tendons that makes it chewy. I don't personally care for how this version was made as everywhere else prepares fried chicken any other style much better. I'd avoid the beef stir fry dishes as it is very salty. Overall, I didn't feel quite healthy or good after the meal. Maybe I'd order their traditional ramen bowl and tone down on their fried dishes. My favorite item was the ube (purple sweet potato) fries as it's unique to Takumi. All of the staff here are very friendly and helpful.

The service was attentive . The ambience is intimate and dimly lit, which creates a cozy, relaxed environment that encourages conversation. The ramen itself was flavorful and satisfying. While not extraordinary, it was certainly enjoyable and well-prepared. The restaurant is BYOB without a corkage fee, and for me that's a BONUS.

everything about this place was outstanding. will be my go to place whenever in pilsen now if i am not in the mood for tacos for whatever reason. service was excellent. menu was easy to read with the qr code. prices were good. they kept refilling the water. super clean inside and accurately executed dishes. that arrived very timely, within minutes. no wait to get in either. next time will try some dessert. great dinner spot before catching a show at thalia hall. plenty of free parking in the area too.

Great food this is really good ramen and the earinated egg omg I haven't find a place that has better quality, great service, the place is beautiful and the ambiance is very pleasant too last time I loved the music

A great place to grab a yummy meal before a show at Thalia Hall. A very cozy vibe, with sultry music. The apps and mains were all delicious!

The hostess said we could still be seated but another reservation was coming an hour later. I had never had okonomiyaki before, but I got to try three different kinds plus some yakisoba. We got the pork belly yakisoba, pork osaka style okonomiyaki, shrimp osaka style okonomiyaki, and the mushroom and yuba Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. My favorite dishes were probably the pork ones, but I really liked trying all of them! When our waiter asked if we wanted dessert, we said how the hostess told us we would need to leave by a certain time for the next reservation. However, he said we could order dessert anyway. I thought it was weird the hostess was being so finicky about the time, since usually 15 min late is within reason. We did get the red panda.
