I started taking tennis lessons in January with iTennis and so far I've had a great experience…read more I signed up as an adult beginner since I've never had any tennis training other than just hitting the ball around with friends. I appreciated the scheduling options for both during the week and the weekends. Signing up was a little confusing through the website as the current session classes are offered alongside the upcoming classes. You have to double check which session you're signing up for. Once I was signed up, I received an email receipt but not a formal confirmation and no instructions as to what to bring or wear or what to expect. The tennis rackets are not provided so you do need to bring your own. The coaches are really skilled and know what they're doing so I suggest you trust their method. You will get better if you listen to them. They're really good at assessing where you're at and meeting you there. They will also make sure you're in the appropriate level of class so they will bump you up or keep you in the same level depending on your skill level. So far I've taken two sessions of Adult Beginner I and I'm excited to be moving up to Adult Beginner II. I really appreciate that they are flexible in terms of making up a class if you have to miss one or one is canceled due to weather. The parking lot can be chaotic at times but you'll always find a spot. The tennis area is gated so you have to check in but it also means that the rest of the park activities don't generally interfere with the tennis classes aside from the noise and occasional weed smoke (usually observed during the evening classes). If you've been curious to try out tennis I highly recommend group classes.

They recently changed the rules so that you need a reservation to play get in the afternoon and the city also holds classes on the afternoon all to discourage a crowd. These courts were very popular before these new rules were implemented. People still play here some mornings. The courts are a little closer to each other so you have to BSs careful about not crashing into people in neighboring courts and hitting ATPs is a bit more difficult. The direction of the courts is so that the sunlight can be really in your face. The overhead lights at night are pretty awesome. Too bad you can't play at night easily any more.

The city recently added four pickleball courts by converting one of the three tennis courts. The…read morepickleball courts are very popular and are in use most of the day. If you are lucky, you will be able to play pickleball. Also there is a nightly gathering of dogs and their owners to meet, play, and converse. The restrooms are frequently used by working people, e.g. postmen, deliverymen, gardeners, etc...Behind the park is a horse trail. Nice little park!

It always took elite, former ATP-level players from other states to challenge Larry for the numerous titles he won, and many of them left as the runner up. I had the privilege of spending some time on court with Larry and, in that brief period, learned how the very best in this game think. He shared what his Father taught him: "..don't miss, put every ball back over the net and between the lines...notice I didn't say 'hit it hard', with lots of pace?" Sounds simple doesn't it? My daughter is only 8 and it probably sounds silly but he transformed my daughter's playing to something amazing. She hits like a pro and her technique will wow you! Not many 8 year olds can do what she does but I can tell you that Larry Loeb is very intricate with his coaching and had a world of patience, he is great with kids. Larry teaches on a beautiful private coach in Riverside. He is very reliable, always on time and worth every minute. I highly recommend Larry as a coach for any age or level.

I expect tennis lessons to be more physically active like a lot of running and ball-hitting but it is not. coaches are very rude and can not answer simple questions.

Wow what a great kids program! The kids are actually having fun! The instructors are so good…read morewith the kids. They teach them fundamentals in a manner that the kids enjoy. They turn the lessons into age appropriate games and create an enviorment in which the kids want to learn and enjoy the learning even in the swealtering heat! My 8 year old boy says " I love when the kids play the coaches and we win'! Ha ha ha thats what Im talkin about! Nice job guys! Thank for making it great experience for us!
