Coach Benson has been a great coach for my 6 year old son. As a beginner, my son is building a great foundation with every week he goes to tennis class. He has been working with Coach Benson for 2.5 months now and has progressed tremendously! Highly recommend!

Unlike our AYSO experience, which required me--a decidedly not-soccer-talented lifelong baseball player dad-- to referee games and coach teams, the only thing I have to do for this team is write checks, drive to various parks and fields within an hour or so of my home, and cheer. Recently, Huber Park in lovely Eastvale was the location of the games for the weekend, and we piled in the truck as a family to make the 40 minute run from the San Gabriel Valley. The park is situated in the general area of the Prado dam flood plain, between a track housing neighborhood and a commercial/industrial area. The field is surrounded and n all sides by a downslope hill, almost as if this originally was going to be a lake and they changed it to a grassy sports field at the last minute. More likely, this park serves as an overflow spreading ground in the event of a flood. The park has some picnic facilities, an impressive skatepark, and some play equipment for the kiddies. After the game, we walked over to find the park restrooms locked on a Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. Really, Eastvale? Get it together-- it's a public restroom near a kids' play area. Other than the restroom stupidity, seemed like a nice park. Or at least one that the neighbors might protect as a locals-only kind of thing.

Staff is always nice and the property is well maintained. They are always updating to ensure they are accommodating as many interests/hobbies as possible. Very family oriented.

I enrolled my son in the basketball class for ages 9-15 based on the class description, which…read morestated that it would be led by experienced coaches and was designed for children who were either picking up a basketball for the first time or looking to improve their skills. The description also indicated that participants would learn core fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and footwork. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and I am very disappointed with this class. Had I known what the program would actually be like, I would not have enrolled my child. The class was disorganized, and the coaches did not appear to have the experience advertised. They seemed to be young adults or high school students who lacked both basketball coaching experience and experience working with children. For instance, while the children should have been receiving instruction, one coach was on the other side of the court trying to dribble the ball between his legs--and repeatedly couldn't do it. The other coach spent much of the class standing with her hands on her hips, occasionally having the children dribble through cones a few times, but providing very little instruction, feedback, or skill development. Throughout the class, the children received very little instruction on the fundamentals. They briefly practiced passing and then attempted to shoot baskets from near midcourt, which was far beyond the skill level of many beginners. Soon afterward, they were placed into a scrimmage, where my child--who is brand new to basketball--was expected to play alongside children who already had basketball experience. What concerned me most was that when several children ended up on the floor fighting over the ball, the coaches stood by laughing instead of stopping play, breaking it up, and using the moment as a teaching opportunity. Rather than coaching the children on proper positioning, sportsmanship, and ball-handling, they allowed the chaos to continue. The instruction did not match the course description or the expectations that were set when I enrolled my child. I expected a structured environment focused on teaching beginners the fundamentals before moving into game play. Instead, the class lacked organization, meaningful instruction, and appropriate coaching for novice players. I understand that the class description also stated that it would be fast-paced, but being fast-paced should not come at the expense of instruction. Where was the teaching? Where were the fundamentals? I enrolled my child to learn basketball, not simply to run up and down the court. Without meaningful coaching and instruction, this felt less like a basketball class and more like some what supervised free play on a basketball court. Maybe advertise the class as "free play on a basketball court."

The school sometimes have events at the park with their conjoining fence. Anytime during school start and end hours are wildly crazy with parents driving their children to school, really??? I believe this the only school with a traditional school system. The fountains are both human and dog friendly if you forgot your fur baby's travel bowl. Large playground with shade. Yay! Few benches around the park and about 3 large picnic areas. Oftentimes you'll see some young teenage kids sitting under the tree and bench under the broken light near the 2 tennis court...doing nonsense. Love the doggy bags available and the regular dog walkers. :)

The grounds are well kept and the grass is lush. It is great to bring the kids for a soccer game or to play frisbee. There is a wonderful playground for the children. There are 2 tennis courts and basketball courts. Why my 3 star rating? I really dislike that there are too many dog owners who do not pick up their pooch's poop off the sidewalk. There is no excuse for this because there are at least 3 cleanup stations with bags around the park. I find myself having to constantly maneuver around poop on the sidewalk....ewww
