This was the first brewery/beer bar that popped up when I looked up ones near my hotel planning this trip. The great reviews and overall rating along with the fact they had an emphasis on sour beers (my wife's favorite style of beer) made it a no brainer. Also as you have likely seen they are a women-owned operation so another positive. We did mistakingly walk by it at first but quickly found it. It's a beautifully designed space and more unique than your typical brewery space. Also speaking of they have lots of drinks other than beers, including wines, ciders, cocktails, coffee and a couple NA beers. Due to the impending storm they were closing early but my wife and I each got a beer. I got their New England IPA called Sun Up which was citrusy and juicy with a touch of bitterness/hoppy notes. Then my wife got their fruited sour Peach Berry Punch that definitely had a punch of pink guava and peach but the berry was more subtle. Two great beers with plenty of other styles available too. Service was friendly with a smile and took no time to get our beers. Such a positive experience we plan on returning to give their cocktails a try! The perfect beer bar to stop by if you are in the bryant park area. This women owned spot features genuinely unique beers that you can't get elsewhere. Awesome brew pub if you are in the Bryant Park area! We tried the Smoked Vienna Lager, Italian Cookie Sour and Lager. All three were distinct in flavors and delicious. We also split the burrata on toast which was also amazing and a perfect sized snack. The inside was decorated for Christmas and was so cozy. Found out about Talea while scrolling yelp for beer places near our hotel. We loved that it was woman-owned and had a ton of delicious beer on their online menu. Went a couple hours before closing on a Sunday night in June and it was quiet and we were well-taken care of by the server getting our beer and food quickly. I loved my watermelon sour and my partner had the nitro stout and really enjoyed it. The food was also delicious. We had a Kale Caesar, with chickpeas and it was filling and the perfect combo of cheese, kale, and crunchy chickpeas. I'm not normally a beer girl but I loved the sours flight at Talea. I went with some friends and we all enjoyed the flight and the vibes. The location was great because we had the flight and then enjoyed walking around the Bryant park market. There is some seating and we got pretty lucky with a table but I imagine if you come at a busier time you might have to stand and drink. read more

Checked out this location with coworkers for a drink after work since it's close to the office. This location is on the smaller side compared to the other locations in the city. We were able to grab a table at 5pm for 6 people. The staffs could be a little bit more friendly and smile more. One of the older female staff rudely said to us that the path had to be clear of any chairs and all we were trying to do was exactly that; she could've asked nicely instead. Some of us ordered the beer flights and some the individual glasses (they do have cocktails if beer isn't your thing). Place was decorated so nicely for the holidays. Had the sweater weather flight of beers and all were unique and great in their own way. Staff was so incredibly nice and attentive. I came on a crowded night and had been waiting for a table to open up. When one finally did another customer jumped in and took it from me. This is a great addition to the area. Just opened this past Tuesday. Glad I could come check it out after I went to holiday market in Bryant park. I got the Hazy and Hoppy Flight. The power couple and sun up was not my fav. But I enjoyed the pick me up Hazy IPA and I added one as I wanted to try the Spicy Hot chocolate which is a seasonal beer. It's a Stout 5.5% Dark chocolate fudge with a hint of heat brewed with cacao nibs, chile, cinnamon a d vanilla. This space is very pretty. The bartenders are all very nice and helpful. Incredible IPA and ambience. The bartenders were attentive without hitting you over the head with their presence. The two beers I had were absolutely lovely... my only regret is that this brewery is not in my home town but every time I visit NYC I will do everything it takes to make another visit. Haven't been to Bryant Park since last summer, look what I found! It's a taproom that serves Talea beer from Brooklyn, right across the street from the big library (with the lions). It's a very clean and elegant looking space, super high ceilings, marble bar. Started off with a beer flight, stayed for a few more after, obsessed with their sour beers. Tried my best to finish the big pretzel solo. There's an up charge for the beer cheese, but it's well worth it. Lots of their canned beer to go, pretty cool artwork on the labels. read more
