I've donated plasma before here and never had any issues. Today i had to do a new patient/donor exam since it's been so long(and i went in unaware i would need one). I was fully prepared for a long wait, and while the start to finish process does take time it wasn't that bad. Everyone was so nice from the woman working the front desk, to the ones who did vitals, and Especially the two who did my actual physical, Amanda and unfortunately a guy was also present and I hate i can't remember his name(UPDATE: name was eddie!)but both made the experience just overall positive. They were very fun, cheerful and just took time talking to me about everyday stuff which was nice. I recommend donating here. Just be patient. They see a lot of people everyday :) the phlebotomist who poked me was great(antonio i think). did not hurt and made sure I was comfortable. I am in vet med and I probably talked his ears off Since I am a needle phobic and it took my mind off of what he was doing. he didn't seem to mind so thanks Antonio For your positivity and great stick UPDATE from my second visit since this review: Everyone was great EXCEPT my phlebotomist. She was extremely rude, sadly. I always try to talk to whomever is helping me because I actually am a needle phobic and it takes my mind off things. I tried small talk and she didn't respond. I noticed they were very busy and I asked her a question about if she liked her job. She looked at me like I killed her dog and responded with "Why are you asking me that?" in a tone like it was the dumbest question ever. I was taken back and just told her I was trying to take my mind off the huge needle about to go in my arm and she just says "oh." I'm pretty sure she mentioned my question to another phlebotomist like it was an insane question... I thought that was so weird. It's a pretty common question and her attitude from the jump to me just sucked. I am sorry you apparently hate your job. Everyone else was great to me. I'll keep my 5 star rating because one bad apple doesn't have to ruin the bunch. I'll be back to donate again and hope she is having a better day. read more

Do Not go to Grove Street location two times I was promised a bonus and two times they failed to load it on my card. Be careful.

Here at the Grove street location in fayetteville nc and this place needs to SHUT DOWN! The building is dinosaur old, nor is there NEVER enough staff! I totally understand why they lose donors to other centers! Not to mention the headquarters is located within the state!!! YUCK read more

I was rudely handled when I was checking in for my second appointment the lady faith blonde hair and glasses that was checking me in was terrible she doesn't know how to talk to people she yelled at me about my phone it was a simple mistake then she went on and told me I couldn't be on my phone when I go get in da bed. I have mix feelings about this place. Some days are better than others, it really just depends on what staff is working that day. The first day I ever donated went pretty smoothly and I didn't have to wait too long even though it was quite busy. Staff is usually always pretty nice to me which is always good and welcoming. My biggest complaint though is that I feel the phlebotomists are not the best experienced...they all seem to have no problem with other people but when it comes to me they all usually have a problem sticking me with the needle. Yes I know my veins are small but when I get my blood drawn at Womack they have no problem and get my vein every time. Twice now since I've donated and they had to stick me in BOTH arms because either one person couldn't properly stick the first vein, so another person gives it a shot in my other arm. I went yesterday and I requested to use my right arm because I used my left to donate the previous time.. and guess what? The first attempt they infiltrated me and now I'm left with a gnarly bruise. So of course they go and try my left arm but multiple people kept saying they couldn't find the vein they used in my previous donation although they saw the scab where they poked me last. Which resulted in a lady using another smaller vein. In the end it was a success but I shouldn't have to go through all this trouble just to donate some plasma. read more

First let me start by saying that you might wait here for a very very long time, but that can be expected with the amount of people they process here. Sometimes they are ahead of schedule and sometimes not, that's why I get here 30-45 minutes before they open. One nice thing about this location is they have longer hours than the Bragg Blvd location as well. BUT!!! With that being said, I've never run across the rude people that were mentioned before. The staff and nurses are super friendly, love to joke around and do their best to get you out of here as quick as possible. Most of the employees are very nice and respectful. The wait times are ridiculous and the employees seem unorganized.

The first time going it's a very long wait so be prepared I recommend you go early. The people that work that are friendly. I will admit there's a lot of ghetto or weird people in there that may make you feel uncomfortable at times but overall it's not bad. Easy money for those who need it or for those who Jst want to help out a stranger. It is extremely cold in the back I would recommend you bring a blanket or jacket. :-) and btw the needle doesn't hurt that bad it's already over with before you can react it's Jst a quick pinch similar to a piercing. read more

Very poorly managed, they do not answer the phone, it has been over 24 hours since my last donation and I still have not been compensated. It's impossible to actually speak to someone unless you go to the center in person. No one should have to spend their gas money and time to drive to this center to let them know they have not done what they are supposed to do!! A friend was actually close to Grove street and he was kind enough to stop in the center and ask them to check on my compensation. They did not have to provide him with any of my info, just take my info from him and check on their mistake. They would not do it. They would not even take my phone number from him and call me. They said I have to come in person or call. I have already called at least 20 times since yesterday, no one answers and I've left several voice mails. This is unacceptable and Grifols (Grove St) needs to figure out how to treat their loyal donors better. read more

Also, this morning (09-29-3019) I come for my 3rd donation and was told I couldn't donate because of my levels being a little high, but honestly I wasn't I given a call because my last day donation was on Wednesday they had ample time to call and tell me to come in and draw blood instead of wait until I come in and tell oh you can't donation, again complete was of my time when all that could of been avoided. Also I came for my first donation and I came in early at 5:45 and wasn't seen until 9:45 they care more about returning donor that first time donors and honestly I shouldn't been a first time donor more like a inactive donor (2016) also has given a hard time because i recently got married and my social and Id didn't match, but had a electronic copy but that wasn't good enough. I have been coming here for some time now unfortunately it's getting harder and harder to donate. Before the appointment system was in place I understood being behind occasionally but now that the majority is appointments I cant understand how at noon your still calling 10am appointments. The staff is honestly hit or miss majority of them are rude but there are a few that are awesome but I guess that's anywhere my biggest thing with grove street is that they NEVER EVER answer the phone.! If you have a problem with payment/ scheduling you have to go there just to speak to anyone. I needed to reschedule but couldn't until the current appointment was canceled I called for 45 minutes straight plus the entire ride there (at least 25x) walk in and an employee is standing up front phone ringing away completely unbothered. Whats really odd though is when I'm in the lobby I do see them on the phone occasionally so I'm confused as to why I have never once been able to get anyone on the phone. & from what I can see this is a problem for A LOT of people, please fix this I understand that sometimes answering quickly isn't possible but to NEVER answer is unacceptable.! read more

The wait time has been awful i waitef for 3 hours..They need more staffing

They have extended hours that make it available to people who donate after work and class. Staff is always efficient in trying to process people as fast as possible. The movies on the TV's help to pass the time. I also like to bring my books or notes to study in the waiting room. My only complaint would be the payment. I've donated for years and the rates seem to be very low compared to others and have very few bonus opportunities. Overall great facility. read more

If you can go to the location on Bragg Blvd, please do so. The first time I donated I remember sitting here for about 5 hours. Years later, I call to find out what do i need to bring and never got a response on the phone. I called Bragg Blvd and because they have my file. Unable to get anyone on the phone, i decided to come by with my ID, proof of residency, social security card AND Permanent Residency card, just in case they had questions... The same documentation I brought in the first time. Feeling discriminated against, I spoke to 3 different people who were all unable to understand the paperwork I provided them with. They're claiming they have to do a data change but can't be done TODAY, because the lady who entered my information, used my Social instead of my Alien Number. The Manager was very apologetic but got it all worked out. She bumped me up to the very front of the line and gave me an inconvenience payment of $10. read more
