For apps, the Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls were crispy and packed with flavor, and the housemade beer cheese with tater tots was perfectly balanced. I tried two entrées: the Chicken Caesar Wrap, which had a surprising crunch from roasted breadcrumbs added by the chef (Johnson & Wales alumni), and the Granite Town Flatbread, where the jalapeño jam gave just the right sweet heat to the layered toppings. For drinks, I tried the robust and smooth Patchwork Palace porter. There were also lots of IPAs to choose from (but I'm not an IPA fan), and for non-beer drinkers, they brew their own hard seltzer, customizable with flavor syrups. The unflavored seltzer had a subtle sweet citrus note, which Bill, the owner and brewer, explained comes from the fermentation process. I also love that they locally source ingredients and have a "Pay It Forward" board, offering free drinks to first responders and military. It really shows the kind of community-minded business Ogie's is. If you haven't visited yet, it's worth checking out. The vibe is relaxed, the food and drinks are excellent, and there are board games to enjoy. It's a great spot for a date night or hanging with friends. We…read morewere at an event nearby on a Saturday afternoon and decided to stop by the quaint and beautiful center of Milford NH. Ogie is just off the oval at the center of town. We went in and it was just a very friendly welcome. Airy and spacious, with a high tech beer menu board that visually depicts what they have and how much is left. There are two main spaces for seating, the main storefront and next door, connected by an archway. The beers are superb. As an IPA lover, I started with their DIPA Alien Autopsy and followed it with the Sasquatch, a single IPA. My other half had the Blueberry and the Festival King, an imperial pumpkin ale. All were amazingly good. Ogie has a First Responder and Military Board where you can pay forward a drink so those folks who keep us safe, can enjoy a libation. I thought that was a class detail. The clientele was amicable, easy going and obviously, local. This is a unique place with first-rate beers.

I landed just as the trivia night was kicking off and while it was a little loud, it moved fast and was fun. I didn't play but I would like to think that I would have done okay. My one beer this evening was the Tabula Rasa, an apricot amber ale. Caramel and fruit notes, it was not too sweet and quite delicious. Mildly strong at 7.5% which was unexpected. My favorite was the For Heck Yeah. You can even get it with lemonade for a shandy. That was really good. The service was good, very helpful. When we were getting ready to leave, the employee asked if I wanted to get any of the beer to go (they had four packs of the 16 oz cans. I liked the For Heck Yeah so much that I decided to take a four-pack. We weren't hungry but wanted something to munch on, so we got the snack flight (pretzels, popcorn, M&Ms, and a choice of spicy or sweet. We decided to get animal crackers. I also should mention that they have feminine hygiene products in the bathroom--you get an extra star just for that alone. I'm so glad that I got to try out To Share. My experience in the area overall leads me to warn any sour drinkers that this is NOT the region to order sours... I think that's the best way to put it. Apparently it's a love it or hate it & a lot of people love it. I did not. None of us did... Service was excellent tho & the other options were decent. I had their two IPAs, North Peak and South Peak, in honor of one of the first ski areas in New England, the Uncanoonuc Mountain that had a rail trail to the top. As it is often the case, every cobblestone in New England has a history. In Anne case, Both brews were delicious. The vibe to this place was friendly. A family came in to use the patio with pizzas and other food to celebrate a kids birthday. Everyone was at their best. Great to see such a fun place.
