This place ruined my iPad. After having it repaired, I soon noticed all kinds of lint under the screen. This continued to accumulate dust, debris, etc because I'm guessing they didn't seal the screen well. It got to the point my iPad was hard to use because of the debris under the screen and started making bright scorch marks. The screen also very easily broke (not dropped) and was made of super cheap material. Sadly this experience rendered my iPad unusable and I had to buy a new one. Over the next two weeks, I have called to check on my parts and keep getting conflicting information. Today, 2/19, I called their corporate office and talked to Linda. She said she would get a status and call me back. Instead, I received a text stating they refunded my money, NO Call! I tried to call the corporate offices to find out what happened and now I just get a recording that my call cannot be transferred and the call is disconnected. Great service. Perfect OEM replacement. Very happy. Short story - had our iPad previously repaired by a different company (mail-in company in CA). The action on that old repaired screen was never quite right. Having reinjured our iPad and having never been satisfied with our previous repair, decided to take it to these guys on a whim. What a difference! The gentleman at Talk N' Fix removed the screen and showed my wife the stark difference between what screen our old repair shop used and what he was putting in as an OEM equivalent. The other repair shop put in a very thin screen that appears to be made of acrylic instead of actual aluminosilicate glass. That other screen was also noticeably thinner than the one Talk N' Fix was using. Well post repair the screen feels and operates as it did when new. It is almost trippy as we had just kind of got used to the repaired screen's shortcomings. These guys are not the cheapest in town (mall convenience tax I guess), but their product/service is outstanding and the convenience is great. I'd use them again. read more

Never use talk n fix at Flatirons mall! My son had his glass replaced and also a cover glass put on a week ago. My son dropped it from his hand with a case covering the phone and the underneath glass broke but not the cover glass. The glass is cheap quality and will break easily! When I took a photo so I could post a review the man at the kiosk pushed my hands and almost made me drop my phone and said if I tried to take another photo that he would swat my phone and didn't care if it broke. Unbelievable!!! Bad glass and horrible customer service! By the way Apple will replace the front glass for $120 instead of $90 with quality glass. read more

Conveniently my charging port stopped working as soon as my screen got changed, another $85 to get the charging port fixed. Not to mention the screen was a very low quality screen with glitches as well. Do yourself a favor and take your phone to the Apple store or anywhere else. Rad or rod the owner skinny tall guy is very nice at first. He even offers 3 months warranty but does not actually provide that. When I went back he stopped working on my phone because he got upset, because I was asking him questions about the issue. Want good service go elsewhere. I destroyed my Samsung smartphone to the point where it wouldn't turn on, and honestly, I thought that it was as good as dead. One of my friends recommended me to see this guy at the mall to fix it. At first, I did my research, trying to see how much it would cost to get a new phone. It's insane how expensive cellphones are. We just don't realize it because of these shiny new phone plans that give us this deal that's too good to be true. It really is. A new cellphone would have cost me $600+. I found that buying a kit to attempt fixing my own phone would cost me around $135 for the digitizer and screen. He charged me around $200, so taking off the cost of the parts, around $100 in repair fees. Not too bad considering how broke I would be if I were to buy a new cellphone of the same caliber. I was pretty desperate and I've never had this happen to my smartphone before. The guy was really nice and he even told me he'd get my phone fixed in a couple hours! For some reason, I thought that getting my phone fixed would take DAYS. Apparently not. It took him a little over the time he claimed but I wasn't complaining. It's been about a month now and my phone is still working great. He also gave me contact info after my purchase and said I could give him a call if anything went wrong. He had me check the phone before taking it home to make sure it was working properly. I keep my phone in a fully enclosed protective case and have had no issues of my screen cracking again. The touch screen works as good as new and I'm very happy that I didn't get sucked into buying a new cellphone. In the end, I'd recommend this guy. He seems to make his own prices as he goes. My friend had cracked her iphone screen and told me she paid around $50 to get it fixed (this was a year or two ago). So why would my repair cost $200? Well, lets look at the research. A replacement screen on ebay costs as little as $5. My phone had a digitizer that was pretty much destroyed. That cost $135 on amazon. I guess that when the digitizer is destroyed, it's a bit more complicated to fix? Who knows? But at least I didn't end up paying $600+. If you ever go to get your phone repaired, it's your job to do your research and figure out how much you're willing to pay for the repairs/parts and what different sellers are willing to offer, including the security of their warranty. I decided to take a chance with this guy and his warranty and it worked out okay for me. I was lucky because my phone didn't have any issues after the repair. So I honestly can't speak much for the warranty that so many others are complaining about. read more

Initial repair was fast and fine. 2 1/2 weeks later, removing bumper from phone (with minimal pressure) glass cracked around speaker. Fastn'fix stated was damage related, it was not, and would not repair. I talked to apple, 3rd party vendors like this are not using right glass, apples repair was only 20$ more and guaranteed from something like this happening. This place is awful. My iPhone screen replacement was supposed to take 45 minutes but after three hours it still was not complete, and the repairman said it was because I was "rushing him". But each time I checked in, he was chatting with fellow kiosk folk and not working on the phone. When I finally got the phone back, I asked why the new screen displayed a dull, cloudy image. I was told "my manufacturer sends me what he sends me - I never know what the quality will be". I requested he try a new screen so I could retain the Apple-quality clarity and color of the original screen, and he said I should have gone to the Apple Store. Truer words were never spoken. The customer in line behind me told me they had screwed up her iPad three times, and she was there to get her $$ returned. FYI: this place charges $100 for a new screen, Apple charges only $29 more which is worth it for the quality replacement materials and kinder customer service. read more

Horrible all around. They told us they had the part to fix our phone and it would be done in 20 minutes. We went and looked around for about 45 minutes then came back to pick up the phone and get going. First, we couldn't find anyone to help us. Then we found someone and were informed that the guy fixing our phone had left because they didn't have the part. He didn't even make sure we were okay with him leaving the mall with out phone (we weren't). They told us he would be back in 45 minutes so again we walked around and came back to find him still not back. It took 7 hours for us to get our phone back. We were supposed to be leaving for our honeymoon and had to delay that, on top of having a hungry and tired 1 year old. We finally got our phone back and they refused to do any refund or compensation. Now, the screen doesn't work in some parts and we are going to have to pay to get that fixed somewhere else and they still won't offer a refund. This place is seriously the worst. read more

I paid $108 for a broken screen. Under 6 months and my screen stopped working. When I purchased the screen, they promised me a solid warranty with the screen. My screen stopped working, and started randomly pushing buttons and navigating through my apps. I went in today to get my screen fixed, but unfortunately I didn't have the receipt. I was able to find the transaction in my bank records, as I paid with my card. I presented my bank statement to the manager as a replacement for my receipt, but they denied that the $108 charge was for the screen. The idiot manager demanded that the bank statement said the name of the company in the description. My bank statement only says FLATIRON CROSSING, but not the specific company name. They denied my warranty, and wont fix the broken screen they sold to me. The manager claims he doesnt have the ability to look up my sale. My screen cracked, I took it to the Genius Bar, the yahoo at the Genius Bar said go ahead and take it to this place because my phone was 2.5 years old and "out of warranty anyway". I took it and they said no problem it would take 30 min. ONE HOUR LATER I get an iPhone paperweight. I was so sad and disappointed. I thankfully didn't give up on my phone. I took it to Best Buy, and the geek squad guy was just flabbergasted that the Apple guy would tell me to take it to the kiosk outside. He opened it up and showed me some of the MANY issues that this place caused. First they lost/didn't replace about 1/2 the screws, They didn't even glue the screen down properly, and the main reason why my phone no longer worked? They tore the cable on the digitizer! Thankfully for $170 (only $70 more than this place), I got a Working Phone. Yes geek squad took two hours, but I have a working phone that has been set to almost new. I trusted the sales person who is also the owner and he sold me on the fact they have awesome, high quality products and a 30 day warranty policy. I came in 7 days after the 30 day warranty point because my screen cracked while in my purse. I did not drop it and I didn't notice until I pulled it out of my bag. I've had an iPhone for 5 years and this was my first cracked screen and to be honest I drop my phone as often as most. And only once did my original iPhone screen crack. Then I replace it using Talk n Fix and my screen cracks in a month. I came in hoping he would still honor the 30 day warranty but the customer service was horrible. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE HERE! I would give them negative stars if I could. I cracked the screen on my phone and took my iphone to this company for a screen/display replacement. When I called them, I was told it was replaced the same way Apple replaces their screens with screws and with a kit made for the specific phone. I paid $120.00 for the screen to be replaced. After about 1 month my screen became loose. I took it back to this location and "Tony" looked at the phone and said it wasn't loose, and to bring it back if it got loose again. Well of course it only become more loose and now the screen is coming off of the phone and hanging on my just the wires at the top of the phone. It is apparent that this company just glued a plastic screen on my phone. So they did not repair it the way I was told it would be. I was lied to. I paid $120 for a plastic screen to be glued on to my $550 phone. I took it back to this location and showed Tony it was not attached anymore. He said he could replace the screen again for another $60.00. I was shocked at this! He actually wanted me to pay more money for something that was done incorrectly to begin with. I then took my phone to Apple. They told me my phone was not fixed correctly and that they have never seen a phone repaired like this. They said TalkN'fix glued a plastic screen on the phone and did not replace everything the way that Apple does. Also Apple said they can't work on the phone now because this 3rd party TalkN'fix worked on it and that voids that iphone warranty. They said that I was getting the run around from TalkN'fix. I had purchased a brand new iPhone 8+ from Sprint when 2 weeks later my daughter used her baby hulk strength and threw it at the wall causing the screen to crack. On Friday March 9th, I went to Talk N Fix for a screen replacement, the sales rep told me it was $150 and that it'd be an hour wait. I returned to a flimsy screen protector and a broken speaker. The tech and I agreed that I'd return the following week so he didn't lose any customers during the weekend. Tuesday March 13th, I dropped my phone off at 10:25 AM, after the manager was late, and was told it was an hour wait. I returned at 1:30 PM, the tech informed me that the manager had barely left to get my new speaker. I was annoyed but left and returned at 5:30 PM, surprise, surprise, my phone was still in pieces and not working. The tech tells me to reset my phone and that it should work. I reset it 3 times and nothing. I call March 20th and ask the manager for a refund, he says that my speaker didn't work because they didn't have one compatible for the new iPhone 8+ at the time but that they do now. I agree to give them one more chance as long as the other tech doesn't work on my phone. The manager says he will work on it personally, so I go in March 22nd, the manager is busy but it doesn't matter because they barely put in the speaker order. March 24th I email Street Talk, their corporate office, and am told by Hassan from their NJ, that they just ordered the speaker again. I laugh and said I just want my money back because no one knows what's going on there and I just want to go through my provider instead of getting these after market products and hassle. Hassan agrees and says to text him before I go in so the location doesn't give me a hassle. March 27th, I text Hassan I'm going in, he says okay. Manager tells me he has to swap out the new screen for my old broken one, I say Hassan didn't inform me of this but okay because I'm getting a new one anyways. He tells me it'll be an hour wait, I explain that I'm a returning customer that they messed up with, I should be taken care of immediately. Especially since I texted ahead of time. He belittles me, argues with me, tells me to stand in a corner, and that he doesn't want to look at my face. I text Hassan and we reschedule. March 30th, I go in and the manager says he and Hassan agreed to give me my refund and not do the screen swap. I give him my info and leave. March 31st, April 3rd, April 4th, April 5th, April 6th, and April 7th I text Hassan for updates on my refund without any reply except once when he sent me a screenshot of someone else's refund. I emailed their corporate office again and I hope to receive my refund so I can get a new phone, but so far I seem to be stuck.
