This is hands down the best gun shop in North Florida. You're going in and you're talking to Robert or Leigh. They own the joint. Actually, I don't know if Leigh's name is Leigh or Lee. Not sure about that. They offer classes for training and home defense. They have an indoor range which is CRUCIAL bc let's talk ladies: are you really going to encounter an emergency where you need to pull your weapon out in an open field? You're not. You're gonna encounter that emergency in the privacy of your own home or in your car or who knows where all you go. But so I'm saying: you need to practice in an indoor range. Plus they have the best stock for us. We don't need AR-15s. We just need Derringers. Am I right? (Yes, they have AR-15s too for the ladies and fellas and everybody in between who wants that type thing.) If you're not going to this gun range? Then you're going to Shooters in Columbus, Georgia. Great service, nice roomy lanes and very professional. The cost per person was a little daunting at first but then we realized it covered two targets, eye and ear protective gear. The only downside is they were busy and only allowing 30 minute slots so that other were waiting too long, which is a nice system. You could always come back out and do another 30 minutes at the next available lane. Everyone working was friendly and knowledgeable. My dad bought some ammo and paid a ridiculous amount for .22 bullets BUT that seems to be the theme everywhere right now (still!). read more

The Tallahassee Indoor Shooting range is a great place to go and put some rounds through your guns. The staff is friendly and polite. Once you fill out your waiver, you're ready to go. The range itself is not large. There are 7 lanes, air conditioned, well lit and plenty of room to lay out your guns and staple targets. One thing I will say is bring plenty of of your own ammo and ensure it's not steel. Their backstop is not durable enough to stop steel rounds. I had 300 rounds for my AR-556 that was not usable here. (It would have been at my usual range). I bought 100 rounds of their house ammunition for 9mm and 40 rounds in .223. My Ruger LC9s and AR-556 have never jammed before but this ammo was just not quality. I had multiple jams. Also, 20 rounds of .223 was $20. Their firearm inventory covers a wide range but is mostly overpriced. You can find some sales here and there but looking at the prices, I can find them for $100s cheaper online. There is also a lot of rules here. The front window/door is covered with "dont's" "do not" and "don't even think of". I found it off-putting but rules are rules. All in all, this is a decent place to go shoot guns. I've been back twice and would probably go back again, now knowing I need to be more prepared. read more

If you can find another shooting range do it. Got sold some defective ammo making me lose range time. Got charged a 100 bucks to put a rail on plus an extra 30 to tighten a nut. Mind you he only had 45 minutes worth of work done from what he told me and there hourly fee is 85‼ I declined for the nut to be tighten but the rail stay in place so I can do it myself. The guy takes the whole thing apart and gives it back to me. With nothing done to it. A very money hungry store. Buy your own ammo before you use there range if you still plan on going. Not one to write reviews but this one was needed. read more

3/4 of the 4 hour concealed class is a sales pitch to buy their insurance policy... The instructor for the concealed carry class doesn't follow the first rule of gun safety (always treat a gun like its loaded). The first thing he does is tell you the gun he is holding isn't loaded then proceeds to point it at everyone in the classroom (but tells you that's ok because he's "trained"). They teach 3 rules of gun safety not the standard 4. They teach to always keep your gun unloaded (how would you use it for defense) instead of always treat it like it is loaded. They don't teach the rule about being sure of your target and backstop. Their lessons are flat out dangerous and their practices should be illegal. read more

Shot my first gun ever today, thanks to Brian. I am not a fan of the stereotypical politics of gun ranges, but I never felt uncomfortable here. Brian was an exceptional teacher who taught me all the parts of the gun and helped me shoot one. He was likable, charismatic, and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this range to anyone who, like me, is a rank beginner when it comes to guns. read more

Friendly and helpful staff but owner is clueless when it comes to customer service. My front gun sight became loose while shooting there. When I asked to borrow a hex wrench to tighten it the owner refused so I had to leave after being there for only 15 minutes. That was the third and last time I and my buddy will be going there. read more

Terrible customer service here and their website needs updating. Walked in and said we signed our waiver and wanted to check-in and hit the range. The guy at counter gave some attitude telling us we had to pay first (obviously) and asked us what guns we had - told 'em Remmy 870 and my buddy said Remmy 700 and . So far, so good. Then he asked what ammo my buddy had for his 700, my buddy says .308 and the guy says "Oh, .308 over 2000 fps not allowed." Fine, we have a pistol but strange that this restriction isn't posted on the website. Also, strange that another person behind the counter said that they sell .308 ammo that we can use that won't damage their range but I have never heard of a .308 shooting below 2000 fps. Thinking they were just trying to sell their own stuff. Then he asks me what ammo I had and I said some 6 shot 12 ga shells. Then says "Oh, no shotguns." So, he clearly doesn't know what an 870 is since he had already asked me what gun I had and also, why can I rent a shotgun on their website but shotguns aren't allowed? I'm confused by this.. My buddy and I decided to go to Talon as they did not discriminate by ammunition or firearm. read more
