Last night we attended our first Kansas City Current match at CPKC Stadium…read more Having heard so many glowing reviews about the first stadium built specifically for a women's professional sports team, we were excited to experience both the venue and the atmosphere. Our first impression was the outstanding customer service. Whether it was the ticket takers, concession staff, or guest services team, everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The stadium itself was also immaculate. One of the best things about an 11,500-seat stadium is that there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The sightlines are excellent, and it's a quick walk to the concessions and restrooms from just about anywhere. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to install some of those Big Ass Fans beneath the roof overhang to help keep fans cooler on warm evenings. We were in Section 231, Row 18 on July 29. It was about 90 degrees with lower humidity and overcast skies. You could feel a nice breeze when walking through the concourse, but once we were back in our seats, the air felt warm and still. The new Morton Amphitheater uses these fans under its roof, and they make a noticeable difference. If CPKC Stadium is ever expanded, they would be a terrific addition. The match itself couldn't have been much better. The Current defeated Racing Louisville 5-1, and the first four goals were scored at our end of the field in the first half. We definitely picked the right side to sit on! Someone told us to stop by Guest Services for a complimentary First Match pin. Not only did we get the pin, but the two wonderful staff members also surprised us with a few extra pieces of Current swag, including a sticker and another pin. What a fantastic first experience. We can't wait to come back!

And not just soccer. The stadium itself is teal blue. The chairs spell CURRENT. The inside club was spacious, comfortable with a beautiful bar. The staff were polite and helpful. The food was delicious. I loved how comfortable the chairs were. When we went outside on the field, the magic could be felt. If you can, get a tour of CPKC Stadium. They did a beautiful job.

Specifically..The Ted Lasso promo event. What a VERY dissapointing event!!…read moreWe arrived early to get the promo scarf but were told they were already out... there couldn't have been more than a few hundred people in the stadium when we got there. Later we saw 2 employees dragging a huge box of scarves into the guest services office. We went over to ask about them but was met with the door being shut in our face before we could politely ask about them. Later in the evening there was a woman with a bunch around her neck walking around asking trivia questions but she only allowed one of us to play the game ( there were two of us)... And yet we saw her putting scarves around three little children who weren't even capable of playing the game a few minutes later. Now for the worst part of the evening...Fans were not allowed to sit in the shaded area of the stands and were told that we had to sit in the lower seating area on the east side in the glaring sun if we wanted seats, and that they were "filming" and wanted to make sure that the lower area was filled first. Yet the lower area on the west/shaded side was only open to VIPs. ( this was a free event and there was no option for a VIP ticket. So we have no idea how those seats were distributed) They had huge fans set up but they weren't turned on. It was a heat index of 102°!! We were forced to stand in the common areas for shade for 1.5 hrs before they finally opened up the shaded upper area on the west side. We know of two people that were overcome by heat, one of them was a child. Now about the Ted Lasso part of the event...The fact that five members of the cast came out said "hi" and were on the screen less than a minute before showing a 1 min preview clip of the next season & then leaving was very dissapointing. we never saw them again. Later there seemed to be social media posts that showed more but that didnt actually happen was shocking. We really expected a little more from this promotion due to the hype and the Ted Lasso bus riding around Kansas City all day. Very poor planning, and a lot of disappointed fans leaving the stadium early. We rode back on the streetcar to a lot of people just complaining about how disappointed they were and how badly it was handled. One more item that was very disappointing was for a FIFA Semi final watch party event the speaker system in the stadium was not working well. Fans could not hear what was going on at all and a lot of people left to go other places to watch the game. So, hey #brittneymahomes...while you were enjoying yourself at Chiefs stadium, your business venture really bombed this event.

Incident Details: Time/Location: Saturday, May 16, 2026, at approximately 7:30 PM at the back entrance of T-Mobile Center during the UMKC graduation. What Happened: I exited and attempted to re-enter through the back entrance. I was stopped by security and told I could not re-enter. At the same time, I personally witnessed a white family being allowed to re-enter through that same entrance without issue. I was singled out and denied the same access granted to others. Escalation: When I asked to speak to a supervisor, my request was ignored by security. A KCPD officer on site then threatened me with arrest simply for asking for a supervisor. I was not disruptive, threatening, or violating any posted policy. Staff Involved: I do not have badge numbers or names. The security staff and KCPD officer involved can be identified via security camera footage from the back entrance at approximately 7:30 PM on May 16, 2026. I request that this footage be preserved immediately. My Concerns: Discrimination: Denying me re-entry while allowing a white family to re-enter is disparate treatment based on race. This violates Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Missouri Human Rights Act §213.065 RSMo, which prohibit discrimination in places of public accommodation. Intimidation by Law Enforcement: Threatening arrest for requesting a supervisor is retaliatory and an abuse of authority. Premises Liability: Under Missouri law, T-Mobile Center has a duty to ensure its agents treat invitees lawfully and without discrimination. Requested Resolution: Immediate preservation and review of all security footage from the back entrance at approximately 7:30 PM on May 16, 2026. Identification of and investigation into the security staff and KCPD officer involved. Written response within 10 business days detailing findings and corrective actions, including anti-discrimination training. Written apology for the treatment I received at my son's graduation. Everyone I dealt with was helpful and respectful. The building itself is a good venue. It is easy to move around and the people sitting around us were friendly too. It felt like a good environment to watch big games and enjoy the event. Overall, I had a good time at the T Mobile Center. I would give it 4 stars.

It would have been great to know that concessions were open in advance, so hopefully you're reading this before your next visit. We had children and a toddler in attendance, who would have appreciated knowing the concession was open in advance. Some great things to highlight about the space: - Many bathrooms to choose from - We appreciated having the ability to walk around the arena using the upmost bleacher. We did not have to impede anyone's view while moving!

One of college basketball's best venues has gotten better…read more The old court cutout and mini museum are still there, but a couple of rounds of expansion have added a new space that houses one of college basketball's crown jewels - Dr. Naismith's original thirteen rules of basketball. I wasn't able to grab a photo during my busy Big Monday visit, so you'll have to trust me, it's pretty cool. They've also expanded the Team store, added concessions and built a few premium food and beverage areas. The actual is still the same - Cozy, a bit intimidating and full of history. It's a great place to watch a basketball game.

At the game I went to, decibel levels were around 119-120, so that seems to track. The feeing, energy, camaraderie, and passion you feel when you enter here cannot be compared to anywhere else. It is truly something remarkable to experience. The Fieldhouse has some structural flaws- mostly because the field house holds up to 16,000 people and needs some updates to allow for all the sold out games. Perhaps more than one stairwell would be a good place to start?! Concessions abound here at the Fieldhouse as do the KU merchandise stores- Rally House- can be found in multiple levels here. The seats of the stadium are not premium as the majority are bench seats with no backs. While you can rent a cushioned seat, you end up standing most of the game anyway, so really not worth the additional cost. There really aren't obstructed views here from any seat-unless a tall person has a seat in front of you. There are very limited hand rails to use in the Fieldhouse to help accommodate these views. The Fieldhouse has a museum as well which commemorates the Jayhawk greats in all realms of sports. This is a great way to spend some time before the game starts. Doors usually open an hour before the game. It's a really fun and energetic place to experience. Definitely get a ticket (if you can) to a game. Take heed and beware the Phog!

It was easy to go in and out of the auditorium area and the toilets were besides the gates of the auditorium- very convenient. I did see a balcony section as well. The food provided by the auditorium was ok - I bought popcorn and it turned out to be stale and very salty but I was glad to find outside vendors selling more food inside and it filled the void. I also felt that they should do a better job of hanging seating signs outside the main areas because it was very confusing to find my seat inside. To conclude, The stage, sound, service and overall event was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

They had two big screens on either side of the front and a huge stage. Lighting was good and the temperature was cool.Staff was attentive with receiving our tickets and stamping my wrist. Restrooms are clean. There is plenty of free outdoor parking. There might be some paid parking on other days as I saw a $7 sign by the parking lot. The arena is in a very unique location and can be hard to find without a GPS. The back of the chairs were dusty. Some of the chairs were padded. Overall a good place for needing large space.

At about 5,000 capacity, it's a quarter of the size of its next-door companion facility, Kemper Arena. It's mostly used for livestock competitions of all varieties: rodeo, cutting horse, &c. -- as well as the exalted American Royal BBQ competition that occurs annually in October. Seats in the arena are bleachers, not very comfortable, but at least they have backs on the benches. There's a very nice little museum to the right of the entrance, worth a stroll through to see old photos & artifacts of the glory days of the stockyards & rodeos, as well as some cheesy-but-fun interactive exhibits for the little kids. With my kiddo in grad school in the Midwest, Kauffman Stadium was logistically our stadium of choice this summer. I'm glad we did because we loved this stadium. Baseball and football are KC's biggest professional sports and both their stadiums sit right next to each other eastern part of the city. It is right off the highway and hard to miss with it's large crown facing the highway. I will say that the general area of the stadium is pretty boring with not much to do except come to the stadium. Parking is plentiful and it does come with a cost. Pay ahead of time to save time. The stadium is in it's 54th season but doesn't have an old feel to it. It actually had a very open feel to it with a large concourse that made walk around easy without being shoulder to shoulder. Hard to miss much of the game walking around as the stadium if very open with views from every angle. Tours are available which I usually do but didn't have time this time around. I like to always come when gates open to really explore the stadium before the game starts. The day I went, they had a t-shirt giveaway which I gladly took to add to my collection. I've been to stadiums where there isn't much to see other than the game itself. Here, there is alot to see. One of the coolest features is the hard to miss water feature which is one of the largest privately funded fountains in the world. They also have this tall video board which happens to be the tallest LED video display in baseball. There is a Hall of Fame museum in the stadium where you can walk in and see the history of the team complete with lots of memorabilia. This park is very family friendly too. They have the Outfield Experience where they have things like mini golf, pitching mounds, batting challenges, playgrounds and even a carousel. Another thing I judge a park by is there dining options. I like a park that embraces the area and features food you can't get at other stadiums. One thing KC is known for is BBQ and they showcase that with the famous Joe's KC BBQ on premises. I dined at the actual restaurant the day before but had to come get the famous Z-Man Sandwich to finish my culinary adventures in the city. They also have other unique offerings along with your usual baseball park staples. They also don't charge an arm and a leg food or merch which made my wallet extra happy. They have value menus at certain concession stands where you can get items for 5 bucks or less. I explored every corner of this stadium and I can say, it's one of my favorite stadiums to date. I highly recommend making this a stop if you are exploring stadiums like myself.

On a very hot day, we started smart -- Hawaiian Bros Dole Whip to cool down. Then went straight for our favorite: the Cheese Corn Brisketachos -- big portion, great plate to share. And of course, a frozen margarita because I always have to have one! The K has come a long way. The food and drink offerings are diverse and truly representative of what KC has to offer. Whether you're there for the game, the food, or the experience, there's something for everyone. The crowd had great energy -- not full capacity but very much alive! At one point a trend started with guys in a section rallying the crowd and taking off their shirts, and watching it grow from just a couple of guys to an entire section was hilarious and fun. Our friend got her moment on the birthday cam -- and the Fireworks Show after? Always a big hit and highly recommend staying for it! If you're a family of 4, look into the Sunday 4-Pack -- 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas, and parking for under $150. A great bargain and a great time.
