I contacted them via their email to arrange a consultation. Lauren wrote me back very promptly and arranged a free consultation for me. She's so nice and very professional with everything. During the consultation, Doris assisted me. She showed me a pre made, ready to use option and then there was a custom option. I opted to spend a little more money and get the custom option. During the entire process they make you feel so comfortable and at ease. I was nervous but really wanted this for myself. The custom piece did take 2 months for them to make but was worth the wait. They took samples of my hair and make the piece as close to my natural hair as possible. When the piece arrived I was called and asked when I wanted to have the piece put on. Doris was able to accommodate an appointment for the next day! When the piece was fully put on it was surprising to me. Looks so natural and feels like my hair. It takes getting used to seeing it and the feeling but I am 100% satisfied. It was worth every penny. Doris is amazing at what she does and I can't thank them all enough for giving my confidence back and making me feel my age now. Everyone at work has commented on how well my hair looks and a few of my close friends who know it's a hair piece say they cannot even tell it's not my hair. When I arrived, I learned there was a pop-up event and much of the inventory had been taken out of town. Instead of helping me find the right piece, they seemed focused on steering me toward what was available, including a bleached blonde piece they suggested coloring to match my dark brown hair. I never felt like they were trying to find the best solution for me. It felt more like they were trying to make a sale with whatever was convenient for them at the time. I ultimately took my business elsewhere, where I was treated with much more care and attention. Because they are not open on weekends, I had to take time off work for the appointment, ultimately losing half a day and $$ in the process. Unfortunately, there was no fairy tale ending here for me.

I also realized I was given no written or verbal instructions on how to care for this product, but in their defense, this could be for the following reasons ... 1. I unknowingly booked the last appointment of the day. 2. There was only one salesperson on the floor. 3. There were two other customers she was tending to while tending to me. 4. I didn't ask the right questions. Maybe she thought I knew. To be clear, my salesperson was delightful and very knowledgeable, and she spent equal time with each customer, moving from chair to chair like a bee, from flower to flower, lol, all the while focusing her attention on that one customer whilst in their company. She was also able to choose the right color and length almost immediately by just speaking with me for a few moments. While she never rushed me, I did feel anxious to make a decision and leave the shop so she could close on time and go home, but that's on me. The shop is large, clean, and modern, with a plethora of choices of wigs. Please consider Milano Collection when thinking about buying a wig or topper.
