Two types of Mezcal are available here and that alone wins some points. The covered, outdoor oasis that is their back patio ranges from a fun place with friends featuring a catwalk to an intimate nighttime nook to have private conversations. The drinks were amazing! Do check out the specials board prior to ordering! I was so stoked to see that the lead mixologist, Mike, was a true mastermind. Ask him for a margarita or a mint julep or a dirty martini or a mojito or an old fashioned and he got it down without missing a beat. Happy hour prices are phenomenal but non happy hour prices will make you happy too. I wasn't thrilled about the food but it met the requirements of being hot, available and enough for sharing. We tried the calamari, mozzarella sticks, fries, boneless chicken, and mac n cheese. I tried to order the mushroom bites but they were sold out. The boneless wings had a weird consistency so I'd skip that next time. The mozzarella sticks are actually egg roll wrappers stuffed with cheese which was a mood killer for me. (Why would you mess up a perfectly good thing like a hot, gooey cheese pull? But I digress.) Beware that there is only one bathroom and while it does the job, it could be better and cleaner. Overall, Talon is a great choice for outdoor enjoyment-- especially during COVID-19-- although the inside area sets the mood so don't be shy and check it out! They definitely will ask for your proof of vaccination and ID when ordering, so come prepared.

Came here on a Saturday night in a group of 4 around 10pm and had no trouble getting a table out back. (It did fill up pretty quickly after that.) I absolutely loved the vibe of the backyard area: Open spacing, tons of foliage, and big doors to the interior that make it feel like one big space. I didn't stay for long or interact much with the staff inside, but everything about my experience was positive and I would definitely come back.

Great place for a spicey margarita - can't stop knocking them down... Plenty of cool indoor space and relaxed outdoor space.

Some sort of sweet glaze blended within the lemon pepper seasoning delicious. Also enjoyed the ranch dipping sauce which tasted homemade. The blue cheese was also great with a sharp taste. Burger was delicious! Every aspect complimented eachother. Normally I don't like American cheese on my burger but it worked on this one. Sauce and onions were perfection. The pickles were also great too. The pickles reminded me of a Japanese style appetizer I can't remeber the name of Delicious sweet potato fries and dipping sauce. The sauce Reminded me of a bang bang shrimp type dipping sauce. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. Felt like they worked as a team. Bummed I didn't take more pictures, because all of the food was delicious!

Very low key and unassuming, especially at night... I ordered the Seneca burger (a smash burger), and added bacon. It was good, but $12 for a smash burger feels a bit steep. Good... but not $12 good. I also got the sweet potato fries, which were delicious and crispy. It came with a horseradish(?) dipping sauce that worked surprisingly well. They also had some interesting cocktail options. I'd come back for brunch or an early dinner to try more from the menu.

The restroom, located downstairs, was clean. The waiter was informative, quick, and polite. Our food was delicious! My son had the eggs and bacon with potatoes and toast and their fresh squeezed OJ. My husband had the steak and eggs with a decaf latte. His steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. I enjoyed the chicken and waffle eggs Benedict, and I cleaned my plate. I'm usually more of a smash burger kind of guy, but the steakhouse style burger was quite flavorful. My only complaint about the burger is that it had no sauce or condiments at all on it. The bacon mac and cheese was also quite nice. The bad: It was pretty overheated in the restaurant, and really humid. The only thing in the restaurant to help with the heat was one big fan at the back. Unfortunately, it was blowing directly on one table of guests back there, and not really doing much for the rest of the people in the restaurant.

Every staff member was super young--barely legal or not even. Every interaction felt like staff were practicing their lines, playing a role in a play, and us, customers, were just cast. Waiters and buss boys were speaking to us like we were dumb/deaf/on the spectrum/high/drunk. It was so disconcerting. Never had such weird experience. Made me so uncomfortable. We were the first ones in the door with 11am reservation on a Saturday. The place filled up quickly. High noise level. Not the best for large groups. The burgers sell out quickly, as only 68 are prepared daily, so we snagged those right away. So delicious. Double smashed cheeseburger--simple and satisfying. Very rich. Would return for this again. French toast was disappointing. Looked pretty but tasted of nothing. It wasn't French toast in a traditional preparation: it was bread pudding cut into a slice and drizzled with syrup and served French toast style. The texture was of a moist but bland bread pudding. Utterly disappointing. Skip. War potatoes (crispy potatoes that are served as a side, with a dollop of super spicy sauce) were very tasty. Double or triple fried to a crispy perfection. Love me some perfectly crisp potatoes. These are super caloric, so prepare for some heartburn after. Ask for war sauce on the side because it is SPICY. House made pistachio gelato was superb. So many pistachios--I'd eat this daily and would return for this!

The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). The floral displays are fun and are probably the highlight of the visit. The space is clearly designed for photos, and I can see why it would be popular for birthdays, showers, or other special occasions. They seem to go the extra mile when it comes to creating a celebratory atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Overall, I would not necessarily come here just for the food, but I would recommend it for the atmosphere, service, and special-occasion vibe. It is a great spot if you want a pretty setting, good hospitality, and plenty of photo-friendly areas.
