Try the talon of you like extremely slow service a menu that has no rhyme nor reason. I have gone in and been the only one ordering food and waited 17 minutes for a basic burger that should have takes 6 minutes. The cook seems to like to experiment with weird dishes and the waitresses are not very efficient. Wish I new how to give a half star. read more

The absolute worst service ever. I came In on a Sunday afternoon with my family and thought that this would be a quick lunch considering there were only two other customers in the whole restaurant. What happened was the complete opposite, we were seated outside to a dirty un-wiped table and the waitress who claimed to be the only one there didn't even get our drink order before saying she would be back because she had "to do something." We sat there for over 10 minutes and finally got up and left. Do us all a favor Talon Grill- hire some more employees and give them some training in the customer service dept. read more

Training opportunity......wait staff know what's not available on the menu & inform customers when handing out menus! Customers be sure to have at least 2 backup options when ordering because they'll be out of multiple items on the menu! Classic quality golf club food. I had the best mushroom swiss burger I've ever tasted here. Best sandwiches and ice cold beverages for making the turn on a hot sunny day. The new chef at Talon Grill has resulted in EXCEPTIONALLY better food. The reason for this 2 star review - is the food means nothing if the service is crap. We live locally, just around the corner in the golf course and come here frequently for the great food and lovely atmosphere. We often take our family and friends here. We boast about how wonderful it is. We expect to wait a bit, given the newly found popularity. What we do not expect is sitting down at a table, and waiting TWENTY FULL MIN before even being acknowledged by the wait staff. Even then, my husband had to go inside and ask for waters and menus. If someone had at least acknowledged us, letting us know they are behind, that would have been different. This is atrocious. Talon. Step it up. You will LOSE your local patrons due to the crap service we experienced today. Wake up. Don't let a good thing be run into the ground, on account of rude staff. read more

I've had a great experience here in the past but today was atrocious. There was one woman for the whole place on a Saturday at noon. She acted as a bar tender and waitress/busser. The new chef, Chris, is just amazing! You can tell that he cares so much about the quality of the food he is putting out. I love that he has made the decision to purchase only local meat from Eagle Point's very own Butcher Shop! I highly recommend the Philly Cheesesteak because that's where he's from and knows how to do it right! We've been several times since he came on board and have been pleased every single time. Definitely overpriced for the quality. One of the only "nice" places in Eagle Point but the service is very disappointing, the servers are friendly but every time we've gone there it's taken forever to get our food! Also don't go on Tuesdays because all they serve is a buffet of diy tacos that are $15 a place, and not very good. read more

Second visit to the Talon Grill was very disappointing. Brought out of town guests to enjoy the beautiful scenery. It took over an hour to get our food. The menu has changed so had to order my hamburger off the kids menu. Under staffed, waitress messed up my order. Pasta dish was tasteless, no sauce, unremarkable. We wanted to take our quest to a nice breakfast with a great view. The view was great and the service was good. Here comes the but..our omelets looked like a scramble and on the first bite raw egg came out of the middle and the whites of the eggs over easy were almost raw. Our plates had to be returned so the eggs could be cooked. Bacon that was requested was not in either order. They were out of sausage first thing even though a meat market is less then a mile away. Would not recommend breakfast until the chef has had his coffee. read more

The Grill provided meals for over 100 people during a golf tournament. Pork ribs and pulled pork came out of their smoker. Fantastic. Jalapeño cornbread, cole slaw and red potato salad finished out the meal. Served buffet style. Nicely done! read more

As a Friday night tradition we go out with an amazing group of friends. Picking different restaurants across the Valley. Tonight we chose The Talon grill at Eagle Point. Horrible experience tonight. Friday 6:30pm. Waitress never took my husband and I's drink order he finally went to the bar to order. Wanted the prime rib as advertised on their website for Fri and Sat. No prime rib. So I ordered the special written on their board and waitress came back and said they stopped serving that at 5 so it was unavailable. Husband and i decided on fish and chips only to have the waitress come back out yet again and tell us this was sold out. They already have a very small menu to begin with so choosing again was not an option for us. Husband ordered another beer was never brought out until a second waitress asked if he needed anything, he said the beer I ordered. So as the rest of our party got their food and we chose to leave. Will definitely never reccomend this place. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of dining at this horrible excuse for a restaurant on Friday August 11. I had not eaten all day, and decided on the Rib Steak, as the Salmon they serve is farm raised, the other entrée was a vegetable pasta. Three choices other than sandwiches for dinner. The salad had three thick hunks of cucumber, then a little pile of lettuce on a coffee saucer! I kid you not, a coffee saucer. The fatty, extra fatty, steak burnt on one end and raw on the other came with this huge pile of coffee colored dark brown fires with some kind of white cheese coating just gross. But to make things really interesting the bartender was at the top of her lungs telling anyone her life troubles including being lectured about her job performance, need I say more. Then the bus person started cleaning the tables on either side of me with a window spray to wash the glass tops, talk about an offensive odor. I did not finish my meal, told the waitress I would never eat here again, left a small tip as the wait staff was nice enough. However when she checked on my meal I told her I did not come there to listen to the bartender and know about her life in so many details. She did not say anything to her as the loud talking went on until I left. However I did get stared at with a glare with I did walk out. read more

We are new Oregonians so we don't have a long history with the Talon, but our experience has been great. We are golfers, so we have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner there and the food is terrific and the service has been prompt and cheerful. The burgers, fries, and salads are exceptional and fresh. The Talon serves dinner on Friday and Saturday, a limited and changing menu but we have been impressed, and the word is getting around Eagle Point so reservations are a good idea. It is the best place to eat for miles. I've had group meals as well, and the food is fresh and prompt even when they are serving a crowd. Well, Wow...!!! Finally we have liftoff!!! It would appear that Talon Grille has hired a new Chef!!! and we now have a place to eat that matches our yearning for... well a place to eat in Eagle Point. All kidding aside I have been hearing about a new Chef at Talon Grille and well I haven't held out hope considering the track record, But!! We heard that the "new Chef" was rolling out a "new menu" so we decided to give it the old college try. I have to say amazing, REALLY AMAZING!!! I know it was the first time for us and lets see if they can keep it up but it was really impressive. We started with an appetizer of Bacon Macaroni and cheese that was simply awesome and came out bubbling hot and obviously fresh, we then progressed to the house smoked salmon appetizer that had a variety of sides like miniature little pickles, capers, boiled eggs, red onions, and a sizable portion of smoked salmon which I was informed that they smoke on the premise. My wife had a Salmon Pasta dish that was absolutely cooked perfect and amazing, and I (haha) went with the old classic fish and chips, which my server told me was a pacific "rockfish" fresh from the Oregon coast. The fish was superb and the fries were to die for so YES I am super happy. I have not ever written a food review before however, I felt like Talon Grille deserved my feedback considering that for years myself, and I am sure a lot of our neighbors around the course have been holding out hope for Talon, that one day they would meet our expectations and desires. Well it would appear that the day of reckoning has arrived!!! So we will be back and update our review, but for now we are delighted with what we have experience so far. I am looking forward to lunch this week after my round and definitely have my eye on that Cheesesteak or the salmon BLT!!! I am still undecided. Thank You finally Talon Grille!!
