It's a shame it took me this long to visit Tam Tam, the place is worth all the hype. I want to thank Val for making our dining experience so pleasant and for her amazing recommendations. We loved all the food, but were particularly surprised by the flavor of the tartare, scallop crudo, and the chicken wings. The lotus salad provided a perfect balance for the sweet and tangy wings, and the tartare was probably one of the best we have had. All the flavors were there, a party in your mouth, literally. Our only regret is that we didn't go soon enough to try the tamarind ribs (they are no longer part of the menu). The portions are shareable, and the tapas style truly adds to the experience. The ambiance was great too. Hole in the wall, nice conversation vibe. We would recommend for a date with an adventurous loved one or a friends' night out.
WOW! Came in for Miami spice and it did not disappoint!!! The food was bursting with flavor and every dish was better then the last. Portions a bit smaller then the regular menu but you will definitely leave full! Everything we ordered was fantastic. Coconut pandan soft serve was AMAZING. A must order. Service was fantastic they were on it. Karaoke bathroom is the second bathroom only not the first! Street parking around the restaurant. Make reservations!!! If you walk in you will have to sit outside which isnt the nicest environment as its downtown miami.
For Miami Spice each year, I typically aim to pick a restaurant that I've both never tried before and that's Michelin-rated. Tam Tam satisfied both, and I now understand what all the fuss is about. Every dish my friend and I ordered was so flavorful, and the presentation was just as impeccable. My only hesitation in picking this spot initially was thinking it wouldn't be enough food, but boy was I wrong. We started with the scallops and steak tartare, which were both a slam dunk. I'm not a scallops person and I loved this dish! The coconut sauce it comes in gets an A++. The oysters were the one item we ordered off of the regular menu, and I'm glad we did. They were so different from any other type of oysters I'd tried before, which I think can be attributed to the salted duck egg hollandaise. The wings were so crispy and practically melt in your mouth. The branzino was very nicely done, but I was particularly obsessed with the goat curry. I had never tried goat before and was so glad my friend picked it. The curry sauce and noodles all came together to deliver a perfect dish. The desserts were also all stars. I'm not a cheesecake person but I definitely enjoyed their take on it--so different in a good way and not overly heavy. I'd never had black sesame ice cream before, and my taste buds were very happy campers. The service was also great - just be prepared to potentially sit at the bar, even if you have reservations. It's a hole in the wall spot and very popular. We went on a Sunday at 5:30 p.m., and it was packed. Diner vibes all the way. My only complaint, which has nothing to do with Tam Tam, is the area - Downtown Miami still looks like bombs were dropped on it as it continues to undergo a slow revitalization. Just know you're going for the restaurant and not the area haha. Tam Tam truly is a gem - go check 'em out!
Tam Tam deserves all of the hype and then some. Every single bite we had was spectacular. The star of the show was definitely the wings! Wow, honestly, hands down the best wings I've ever had. The lime and sticky sauce were insane and unique, 10/10. The shimeji mushrooms were delightfully light, earthy, and herbaceous. The lotus root salad had an acidic sauce a slight spice from chili peppers, and was full of crunch. Finally, the Banana milk tres leches - the sweetness is subtle from the banana milk and coconut flakes, and the crunch from the cookie topping was a nice complement to the soft cake. My only complaint about the dessert was that it was tiny, but I'm also a dessert gal down boots. Lol Highly recommend leaning into the buzz and making a res.
What an experience. I had heard about Tam Tam from friends and had been on my radar for a while. This is a place for which you basically need a reservation, and they are not easy to come by. We ended up visiting at 5:30 p.m. to be able to grab a spot, and since before the restaurant opens, you can see people waiting for their reservations. You are first greeted at a window outside the restaurant, and as soon as you walk in, you are transported. The music, the decor, the aromas -- it feels like you are someplace else. A great atmosphere to enjoy a meal with your partner or with small groups of friends. I do want to highlight that the service was spotless since that first greeting at the window, to getting you to your table, going over the menu, and explaining the concept; they made sure we had a great experience throughout the meal. But what really sets Tam Tam apart is the food. The menu is short but accommodating, with options for everyone. Small dishes go for around $20 each, while large dishes go for around $40; you can expect to spend around $40-50 per person on food. We tried the Lotus salad, the Shimeji Mushroom, the wings, and the "wrap situation". I would say they were all +4.5 stars. Each of the dishes offered a unique flavor profile, not only amongst them but also from other restaurants you will try, making it truly a remarkable experience. At Tam Tam, you can notice their attention to detail; each dish is carefully crafted, balancing freshness, textures, spice, all combining in an explosion of flavor in your mouth. All in all, go on Resy right now and book a spot. Tam Tam is definitely a worthy experience. My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 stars: This restaurant should be closed.
I've wanted to try Tam Tam for a while now and it definitely lived up to the happy hour accolades! We started with some Thai basil margaritas and a yuzu strawberry spritz. The oysters and scallop crudo tasted both fresh and innovative, like those dishes hadn't travelled too far from the ocean. The mildly spicy wings were super crispy and likely my favorite bite. Our server was amazing, incredible nails, and served us quick in this cute colorful spot downtown. Would definitely come back to try their larger dishes!
Amazing experience at Tâm Tâm downtown! We had Lotus root salad, Scallop crudo, Shimeji mushrooms and Lamb wraps but vegetarian sub with grilled tofu. Delish ! finished with vegan cheesecake that was out of this world. Our server was Nikkie and he was phenomenal ! Definitely will come back.
The only reason this is 4 stars is because I didn't have a chance to eat at Tam Tam proper; this review is actually for the Lunar New Year festival block party they put together this last Sunday. I met up with a bunch of friends and we enjoyed the culinary & cultural offerings. Since I'm allergic to seafood, I was just able to taste the chicken yakoitori skewers which were made fresh and tasted delicious. I did get to indulge their liquor, with my favorite being the "ca phe sua da" coffee liqueur (Vietnamese coffee, condensed milk & whiskey). The Lucky Money - green tea infused gin - was another indulgence that I might've had once or twice as well as sake shots off the horse ice sculpture. The dragon show was fun to watch and the dancers were really talented. Definitely looking forward to this next year again!
We were in Miami for the Lunar New Year block party hosted by Tam Tam. Great vibe and energy with Dj, Live band and Dragon Dance show. We enjoyed the sampler for the event which was the Pho and their famous Tam Tam chicken wings. These wings were so yummy crispy with the fish sauce caramel, garlic, cilantro and lime. Each order had four chicken wings. The Pho broth was really good but the noodles were a bit soggy. We ordered from a walk up window after making a long line to try these wings. Well worth it and we were lucky as they ran out of wings a few minutes after we ordered ours. Great festival and would love to attend again next year!
Wings were delicious stayed crispy and sauce reminded me of my viet grandma's cooking. The scallop appetizer was incredible, im not a scallop person but those melted in my mouth delicious with the coconut cilantro lighting up my tastebuds. The lamb was good only other time i've had it was in vietnam, close to the authentic version. The dessert was super unique with corn coffee flan. It was delicious. I'm not used to elevated viet dishes, but these were pretty much a hit and brings back nostalgia. Make reservations in advance because there was already a big line when we showed up 5 min early.
My wife managed to get us a reservation here during our trip to Miami and we had an amazing time. Tam tam is a modern restaurant serving a fairly small menu of dishes bursting with flavours of Vietnam. The majority of their menu are small appetizers for sharing, with just a couple of larger plates as shareable mains. They also have a selection of beverages with and without alcohol. For our visit, we tried their: * Scallop pomelo crudo - refreshing due to the citrus notes of the pomelo which is accented by the use of coconut milk. Scallops were fresh and sweet. * Shimeji mushroom - hearty appetizer with a fairly strong dill flavour; not overpowering but also not for everyone * Tam Tam wings - 5 large crispy split wings in a sweet and sticky caramel sauce. (So 2.5 whole wings, per order). Definitely suggest squeezing in the lime juice provided for an extra taste of Vietnam. My 6 year old loved.it so much we doubled up on the order :-) * Lamb wrap situation - it's more than your usual lettuce wrap! A deconstructed lamb wrap with lettuce, pineapple, cucumber, pickled radish, rice noodle patty, and the star ingredient - lamb pieces grilled on lemongrass. This dish will transport you directly to southeast Asia! * Also ordered a Vietnamese coffee. This was one that was a bit disappointing. They only had iced coffee and the coffee wasn't very strong at all. The service was attentive. We never had to wait long to get our server's attention and our waters were refilled regularly. Overall the whole family had a wonderful time and this restaurant gets 4.5 stars rounded up to 5!
We were able to snag an outdoor table for 2 on a busy weeknight at Michelin Bib Gourmand Tam Tam. The service was excellent! We enjoyed the scallop pomelo crudo with coconut milk (sour like Peruvian leche de Tigre) - it was beautifully creamy, aromatic, and bursted with citrus bites. The fish sauce caramel wings were delicious with freshly squeezed lime juice. Sticky, sweet, and umami. The lotus root salad with pork belly and crackers would have been better with more sour, spicy, aromatic notes! It felt a bit tamed down. Tam Tam's vibes and decor are awesome - make sure to check out their bathroom with karaoke and disco lights!
Tam Tam was an amazing experience all around. The food is delicious and the wait staff were amazing and super accommodating. For a place known for their meat dishes they actually also had very good vegetarian options. The shimeji mushroom was an absolutely must try and the highlight of the night. The spot is incredibly cute and perfect for a date night. It's definitely a place where the bill racks up quickly and you need to make a reservation in advanced. Tam Tam a great experience that will have something fun everyone!
Tasty Vietnamese fusion! I love that they have the authentic plastic stools outside too and some outside seating. Inside it's a bit tight. All tables were full. Had a Resy, but they needed more time - and that's even when they have a table time limit! Ended up at the bar, which was great service wise but a little uncomfortable with no back rest. The food is outstanding. Started with the curry scallop dish which had amazing flavors and some citrus elements. Proceeded with the tamarind ribs, which was cooked and flavored perfectly. Not too sweet. Fall of the bone flavor. Ended with the lamb lettuce wraps. It's a deconstructed dish you put together. I felt the lamb cooked perfectly. Overall the melody of flavors produced a great orchestra of fun. I noticed one bathroom tucked away in the corner for everyone. It's a tight space, but they really maximize what they got! read more
I stopped in for a spontaneous (late for me) dinner without reservations. Waited for about 20 mins or so but there was ample seating outside which is fcfs. My friend and I shared the lamb wrap situation and it really hit the spot! I took a pic of the chairs cuz it fit the vibe of if you were somewhere in Asia. lol read more
Absolutely incredible. My partner and I came here around 10:20PM on Saturday and were seated at the bar right away. The vibe is super chill but the food was all presented beautifully and the flavors were on point. We started with the scallop pomello goi; super fresh melting your mouth scallops with a super flavorful sauce (they give you a spoon to get all of it). Next we got the tam tam wings which were fried perfectly. The last two small plates we got were the bone marrow and the shimeji mushrooms. The bone marrow came with toast that was slightly charred and super crispy, allowing the bone marrow to really melt in it. For the large plate we ordered the lamb situation. The lamb came in small kebab pieces and all of the toppings/fillings came pre-portioned so you don't have to worry about portioning/running out by the end of wasting at the end. It felt super fresh but also filling since the lamb portion was big (and lamb is a little heavier in general). We thought about skipped dessert but couldn't since all night we watched the milk tees me he's being made at the bar. We had to try it ourselves. I typically don't love the texture of tres leches but this one was different. The cookie crumble on top gave it a nice solid texture. Highly highly recommend. This is the best Vietnamese food I've had (that's not pho) and I can't wait to come back if I'm back in Miami. read more

I came here based on all the fabulous reviews of Tam Tam. We arrived around 7:15 and were seated almost immediately. We got an outside table with views of the new courthouse. There are limited menu options for someone like me who is picky (plz don't come for me). I came in wanting to try their wings and ribs, however, they were already out of the ribs by the time we ordered. The wings had a yummy glaze and a good portion of chicken on the bone. I have to say my favorite part would be the disco bathroom and dessert! The cheesecake is to die for and I'd come back just for that. It is a bit pricey for the portions but I'd probably come back to hopefully try the ribs. read more
The hype is real and worth it 100%! Tam Tam is cute, trendy and a sight to see. We made reservations with RESY and when we had a delay, we called the restaurant and Juli (which is pronounced Yuli), jumped in to help us without any problem. She was extremely kind, patient and professional. We arrived and ordered (with the amazing Atiya) 80% of the small plates and the two desserts. It was great! The scallops were great, as was the ribs, wings, corn elote, salad and quail. The dessert was a delicious pumpkin tres leches and the other one was a guava cheesecake made with cashew milk. Great experience! And looking forward to the amazing experience with Val, Aitya, Juli, and all who play a part in the incredible experience. Enjoy! read more
Had heard a lot of hype about this place and wanted to give it a try. Couldn't believe that, aside from one mushroom dish featuring rather odd mushrooms, there was nothing vegan on the menu. They offered to substitute the lamb wrap with tofu, which would have been outrageous at $44. Another option was the lotus root salad, minus the shrimp and pork belly -- but as I suspected, it tasted flat and lifeless without the ingredients it was designed to include. There were only two main dishes and several small plates, but we were told the small plates were too small for one person and that we should order multiple dishes. The mushroom small plate actually would have been a reasonable portion if it came with rice. The prices did not match the casual, almost cheap-looking interior. The outdoor seating area also felt unpleasant, a bit dirty, surrounded by construction and people loitering, which did not make for a comfortable meal. On top of that, the place is definitely not dog-friendly; even with a reservation, you are seated outside at picnic tables if you come with a dog. read more

Phenomenal modern Vietnamese food, and considering the cost of eating out in Miami, reasonably priced for the quality of food. Growing up Vietnamese and having eaten typical Vietnamese cuisine my whole life, I was ready to be a bit critical, but when I came here with my brother and his wife we were all very impressed by how tasty, beautifully prepared, and unique the flavors were. The food all has very typical Vietnamese ingredients and flavors but executed perfectly and combined in ways that you can tell it's Vietnamese inspired cuisine but upgraded. We got a bunch of small plates and the grilled whole fish as our main/big plate. The first dish to come out was the scallop pomelo goi (salad), and believe me when I say the picture doesn't do justice to how incredibly flavorful, unique, and balanced the dish was; the rice paddy herb oil was packed with flavor and complimented the fresh slightly briny scallops and creamy coconut nuoc cham sauce. It was probably our favorite plate of the night. Next we're the shimeji mushrooms flavored after "cha ca la vong", a traditional Vietnamese dish of grilled fish seasoned heavily with dill; the mushrooms were captured and elevated that herby flavor balanced with the juicy umami mushrooms. Next were the wings and ribs, both recommended to me highly by multiple friends. The wings had a delicious sweet savory fish sauce caramel, which was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet like I've seen at some other places that try fish sauce caramel dishes. The ribs were fall off the bone tender with a beautiful savory sweet tangy tamarind glaze, I could've eaten a whole rack of them. Although we were plenty satisfied at this point, we still had the whole grilled which was butterflied, grilled beautifully with a nice smoky taste with the meat still juicy, topped with a generous helping of herbs and tomatoes. While it was a great dish and we had no real complaints, in retrospect we felt like ordering a few more of their unique and really impressive small shareable plates would've been more fun. Either way, everything we ate here knocked it out of the park, and whether you're used to eating Vietnamese food every week or never had it before, I highly recommend this place to everyone! In a city full of overpriced steakhouses, sushi spots, etc that focus more on instagram shots than actual taste, it's nice to have a place like Tam Tam. read more
We have heard so many good things about Tam Tam and we had to try the restaurant with friends this weekend for dinner and we're so glad we did! Tam Tam is a very very small restaurant in Downtown Miami right across from the Miami Dade County Courthouse, and reservations are A MUST. Reservations open up 21 days in advance on Resy and go super quick. We made a reservation for a Saturday evening for a 7 PM slot for a table of 4 and arrived early to check-in and find parking. There are plenty of Miami Dade County court house parking garages in the area (you can park for up to 4 hours for $10- definitely not bad for Downtown Miami parking prices). We arrived at the restaurant and checked in with the host stand at the window and received a warm greeting from the host and they offered to have drinks prepared for us while our table was being prepared. The drink menu has everything from beer and wine, to wine based cocktails, and non-alcoholic drink options, all ranging in price. We ordered the Mango Margarita in the pig (around $20) for a nice size cocktail and it was really good and amazing quality! Our table had a slight delay due to the previous party staying a little longer, and the manager came out and kept us updated and sat us promptly as soon as the table was ready. We really appreciated their courteous service and they were all so nice, we really didn't even care that the table was 5 or 10 minutes after our reservation time because everyone was so friendly the entire time we were in the restaurant. When we were seated, our server came by and gave us a warm greeting for our first visit and provided us with our menus and offered any initial suggestions and came by a few minutes later to help us with our menu selections. For the smaller plates, it's a good idea to order about 2-3 smaller plates per person dining. We didn't order any of the larger plates because the smaller plates that we ordered were all pretty large portions. Our smaller plates we ordered were: -Jungle Steak Tartare ($21) -Lotus Root Salad ($21) -Shimeji Mushroom ($16) -Tam Tam wings ($18) -Tamarind Glazed Pork Ribs ($18) We also ordered the following items for dessert: -Callie's Pumpkin Tres Leches ($12) -Guava Cashew Cheesecake ($10) We also ordered the Mango Margarita wine based cocktail ($14) and a beer ($8). All food is OMG completely out of this world- everything was so flavorful and fresh, and the chefs truly put a lot of attention and care to every single dish. All of the employees were so friendly and made us all feel warm and welcome and never made us feel rushed at any point in the meal. Definitely we want to come back to Tam Tam and I would say it's one of the best restaurants in Miami right now! read more

Was dying to try this spot and really enjoyed it!! Started off with the frozen margarita, in the boozy pig. it's more alcohol and such a cute cup - literally a pig. Adorable. Absolutely loved the lotus root salad. So good, and honestly, I'm not even the biggest fan of lotus in general. I'm the one to pick it out of my ramen. But this salad was so delicious. The wings were also so good, definitely recommend. Looking around there were a lot of orders of the salad and wings so seems like the most popular dishes. Then we tried the pork ribs which were very tasty!! Very much enjoyed. The escarole was my least favorite. Cute idea, and I liked the charred escarole, the shrimp bits were good for the first few bites, then it was all I could taste. Very cute that you have to cut it though. Everything had a nice presentation and came out quick. Good service, would definitely come back. Also we came around happy hour time like 5:30 and I was so full with these 4 smaller dishes!! read more

My new favorite spot in Miami and conveniently located a short walk from the Brightline. The atmosphere is relaxed and the wine is list is impressive. All cold bottles to add to the dishes styled for drinking (but drinking is not required). Every dish we had was memorable but one stood out. The scallop dish with pomelo, coconut and herb oil is a dish that creates obsession. You will think about time and time again! The drinking quail, duck oysters and marrow were fantastic. To finish off we had the whole fish which was a luscious flavor bomb! I cannot wait to return! read more

Fresh and Vibrant Vietnamese food with Excellent service just come early to make sure you dont miss out on anything. Tam Tam had been on my must try list for some time and finally got the chance to try them out. I was super excited. It was a Tuesday around 8:30pm when we popped in. The place was packed inside which was a great sign. They had a table available outside and it was a cool brisky Miami night and the perfect weather. We were quickly welcomed and our server went through the menu. I was so looking forward to trying their Famous Chicken Wings but unfortunately they had run out which was devastating. We ordered other items like their Ribs, the Lotus Root Salad, Scallop Goi and Frog Legs. All of this was shared. The ribs were super tender and had a nice sweet sauce along with the Peanuts for texture. But I must say the ribs were room temperature and not sure why. The Frog Legs were ok maybe I just couldn't get passed the taste like chicken but not really. The Lotus Root Salad was super fresh and had a great balance of acidity and sweetness. Same with the Scallops Goi. The scallops were melt in your mouth. But the whole night I was just craving the chicken wings and I never felt that anything really made up for that. For dessert they had a sorbet with a special Vietnamese fruit I believe and it sounded so amazing. But they ended up being out that too. They were also out of some corn dish we wanted. It was kind of frustrating because it was only 8:30pm when we got there and at least 3 items we wanted were sold out. We ended up getting a guava cheesecake and a pumpkin cake which were both nice. But the overall meal felt off as everytime we wanted something we were told they were out off. So that kind of left a sour note. I will say the service was great. They were apologetic and also kept checking in on us. But overall I felt bummed. So my tip is come early if you want to experience Tam Tam In all its glory. read more

I came here on a Thursday night around 9pm without a reservation and the place was completely booked. They do have outdoor seating for last minute walk ins, so I waited about 45 minutes for a table of four. The chicken wings are AMAZING! It has perfect crunch and sauce, I could eat them over and over again. The beef tartare is also delicious. However, I wasn't a big fan of the lamb tacos; the lamb left an aftertaste and was a bit dry. A few things I wanted to try were sold out and not available, so I'll definitely be coming back to try those dishes! read more
I have mixed feelings on Tam Tam. The ambiance and service are fab and the food is good. I've been here twice now and the food is unique but very rich. Each dish has so many flavors but are all meat heavy (definitely don't go here if you are vegetarian). I wish there were a few lighter dishes to mix in with the meat ones. My favorites were the scallop crudo- so light and citrusy, the beef tar tar- interesting Asian flare to the traditional dish, and the lamb wraps- the lamb is tender and flavorful and the veggies are so fresh. Overall, this is a great place to try but probably don't need to return. read more
Wish I could eat here once a month! Was visiting Miami for the weekend. Tam Tam is Vietnamese Tapas kind of. Regardless, it is delicious! Small plates and large plates. Suggestion was 2-3 small + 1 large to feed 2 people very well. We opted for the Tam Tam wings and Tamarind Pork Ribs for our small plates and the Lamb Situation for our large. The wings are outstanding with a crispy exterior and moist interior. The fish sauce caramel is rich, sweet and savory. So good. The ribs were amazing. So tender, sweet and meaty Q with a tamarind glaze, crushed peanuts and green onions. Lamb Situation was good but I was pretty full. I'd love to try more menu items. read more
Stopped in for a late night after dinner snack last night. The place was packed and vibrant. That is always a sign that the food is equally as good. I ordered some wings to go. They tasted amazing. I'm not a fan of sauced wings but these were very good. The Asian flavors popped nicely. Overall 7.5 of 10. Give them a try for sure!!!! read more

Tam Tam is a vibrant yet intimate restaurant located in downtown Miami. We were seated at the bar where we still had plenty of space. The menu isn't huge, featuring many small plates and 3 larger entrees. They also offer a variety of different wines and two frozen drinks. We ordered the ox tail curry, which featured 2 large chunks of ox tail meat on a bone which were really tender. It was paired with egg noodles. We also ordered the lamb situation which consisted of build your own lettuce wraps, paired with a peanut sauce. We also added on the tam tam wings, which were crispy and slightly sweet. We were visiting Miami for the week and being Vietnamese American, I was missing my people's food. We came across Tam Tam as it was recommended to be a new local spot serving up great Vietnamese inspired dishes. My first impressions of this place was that it was hip, from the decor to the people working there. The menu is small but it's meant to be a place with "tapas" or small dishes to share. We shared the pork ribs, tam tam wings, and duck noodle (seasonal). Our favorite thing was definitely the Tam tam wings. He really perfected the recipe and it was so juicy and flavorful. Just like how Vietnamese wings are supposed to be. Unfortunately, everything else we had didn't really have an impact on us. The noodles had a familiar taste but it was $40 for a small portion. The ribs were cooked well, the meat fell off the bone, but the flavors were extremely confusing. It was my least favorite actually. I think it was too salty for us after a few bites. I kind of wish we tried the fish but definitely get the wings if you go. I also got a tea, the glass was really small so I finished it in a few sips. I wish it was free refills or served in a bigger glass. I'm not going to lie. The host was a bit confusing when we walked up too. There was a wait and we got seated outside but she just seemed a little checked out and not the friendliest. Nathalie was our server this night and she killed it. Great spot in the downtown area. We went on a Saturday night and there was a long wait. The restaurant is on the small side so we were seated outside. It's tapas style so we ordered a few plates for the table, which worked out because we were able to try a lot of items. We ordered a little bit of everything and it was all great. The wings were the best wings I've ever eaten. They were so good, I wanted to order more. We also shared the pork ribs and the steak tartare. I loved the cracker the tartare came with. For our larger plate we ordered the goat curry noodles and it was a pretty good size. It comes with a lot of meat that was great for 3 people. We had an excellent meal at Tam Tam! The vibe inside was great, which felt like a modernized take on a throwback era. The servers were very attentive, especially with removing empty plates, giving us clean ones, and refilling water, which was very much appreciated. However, they actually forgot a dish that we ordered, which worked out well anyway since that would've been too much for us. Not a big deal to me. The standouts from what we got would have to be the lotus root salad and the tamarind glazed ribs for me. Everything else we got was tasty though (lamb wrap situation, grilled oysters, Thai green tea soft serve). The neighboring tables got different items, which all looked great as well. I guess the buzz is true about this place cause the food was on point! Went here with my friends and my sister, who was visiting from Manila. It's not a big place or glamorous, but we loved the retro decor. There's also ample seating, but I highly suggest making advanced reservations about a couple of weeks or so if you have 4 to 5 people. They also offer bar top seating, but I think it's also by reservation only. At 6pm when they open, there were already people waiting patiently to be seated. We were a part of 5, and that's the biggest group they were able to accommodate. 6 is possible but very tight, according to the hostess. And the main reason why this place is so popular and gets fully booked is because of the food and service. Elevated Vietnamese street food, which we were very impressed with. Trust me, our group is very well versed with Vietnamese cuisine cause 2 of my good friends are Vietnamese. We definitely loved this place, starting from the appetizers, to the main course and the shared dessert (because we were so full). The dishes are kinda like tapas style, but very well executed, and the portions were enough to share with everyone. We doubled up on the ribs because they were just so tasty, but we also highly recommend the goat curry noodles. And also, if you're adventurous enough, gotta try the frog legs. For the veggie lovers, you can't go wrong with the Lotus Root Salad. Simply fresh and marvelous! I can't wrap my head around this place... how does it have so many positive reviews??? Actual people i know consider this a must try. I have come to the conclusion the chef called out that night. Out of everything we ordered the wings were ok at best. The tamarind ribs were unique and i did enjoy it but after two bites youll become overwhelmed with the flavor. My husband refused to eat them as he thought they were too sweet. Many of the plates used fish oil for 50% of the base which ends up being extremely overpowering. This place feels like a neon lit diner. I wish i would've read a review like this and ended up going somewhere else. In a city like miami, theres so many good places opening up on the daily to waste a night on disappointing food. read more

The appetizers were great ! The goat seemed under seasoned to me. We should have probably tried the Mangoe sticky rice desert because that is supposed to be tres leches what ! It was crowded but that might be because of the wine flights. I'd go back and try the fish. The last time I went I had the bone marrow that was really good. Service is good. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Miami! This food is incredible. First off, the decor and ambiance of the restaurant is super cute, artistic, colorful, and lively. I have to say that the service was also probably the best of any restaurant I have been to! They are always coming by the table. Also, the food came out very quickly. The restaurant is clearly very well run. I loved all the dishes I ordered. The scallops were fresh and savory, the shrimp was delicate and flavorful with some spiciness, the lotus root salad was sweet, the mushrooms were cooked to perfection, and the fried chicken wings were perfectly done, juicy, and with a crust that was savory and sweet. Their use of spices and flavors are well done making their dishes delicious and making you want to come back all the time! Make this place your new favorite Miami spot! read more
Had dinner here last Saturday. We didn't have reservations so we had to sit outside but the weather was nice so we didn't mind. We ordered the following: Iced coffee Coke - it was in a can but it tasted off Chicken wings Ribs Bone marrow Lamb wraps The chicken wings are a must have! They are sticky, crispy and delicious! The ribs fall off the bone - literally! We enjoyed the bone marrow and the bread, and the lamb wraps were delicious!! The entrees are not served with rice so be warned. We easily found street parking on a perpendicular street and it cost about $6 for 1.5 hours. The menu is small and the chef has perfected the dishes. Once they finally took our order, service was good. I would give them a solid 3.5 stars. read more

We had heard and read how popular Tam Tam was and that this was the new Miami party spot to go to now. We finally had a chance to go yesterday evening. But when we got there, we didn't see nor hear any parties going on. Instead, it was a nice, quiet Vietnamese restaurant with all ages of people tasting Vietnamese food and drinks. The place is nicely but conservatively decorated but nothing Miami style. The place seems popular because all tables and the bar were filled up. We ordered several dishes and split them. We had the 5 Spiced Duck Noodle, the Mushroom dish, the Ribs dish, the Scallop Goi, and the Pandan Tres Leches dishes. For drinks, we ordered the cute Margarita Pigs. We have been to many different Vietnamese restaurants that had far better tasting dishes than these dishes so we were kind of disappointed with what we ordered. The Duck and noodle dish tasted like they were yesterday's meal. The ribs had very little meat attached to the bone. Thr sauce was thick and made them look bigger than they were. The mushrooms were just ok. The drinks tasted like any other good margarita drink. The prices were rather high for what was served. The service was excellent though. This place was on our bucket list but I doubt we will return, sad to say. read more
Came on a weekday night for dinner. Ended up ordering the spiked coffee, lotus root salad, tam tam wings, and the lamb wraps. Spiked viet iced coffee ($13) was decent, probably wouldn't get again since I personally prefer non-alcoholic coffee. The Lotus root salad ($20) was refreshing. Came with a few pieces of shrimp and pork. Gave a good balance to the fried wings that came after that. The tam tam wings ($17) were sizable and freshly hot. I absolutely loved how crispy it was on the outside. I can see why it's so popular. My favorite for the night. The lamb wrap situation ($42) was fun with wraps you put together yourself. The lamb was well seasoned and I liked all of the toppings that it came with. Overall good food with some unique dishes but a bit pricey for the quantity of food. Service was good. There is indoor and outdoor seating but it does feel tight in terms of space. Would recommend making a reservation if you can. Also keep in mind, parking may be hard to find, as I ended up circling three times before I found a spot. Still glad I came to try it out, would consider coming back if I'm in the area. read more

Believe the hype. Everything was spectacular, especially the goat curry. We tried most of the appetizers; the crudo scallops, oysters, and fried chicken were the standouts. Love the cool, eclectic ambiance and service was great. A friend sent me a Yelp link for this spot and I was here the next night! Desperately wanting to find an alternative to the other highly popular thai restaurant in the same general area (rhymes with "young guy")... Anyway, I walked in around 6pm on a Tuesday and actually had a but of a hard time being seated, despite many empty tables in & outside. I was seated at a cramped, fixed position barstool and proceeded to start my timed dining experience. The servers were all very friendly, but to the point. I ordered 3 small plates - scallops, frog legs, tam tam wings. The scallops offered a great variety of favor. The salt & pepper frog legs were pretty basic, but the sauce made up for this. The wings were a close second to some of the best thai wings that I have ever had. The down side - the price is hefty for the dishes offered. The 18% gratuity automatically added to the bill has become exhausting and is in bad taste at this point. Regardless, if you find yourself in the market for some overpriced thai small dishes, check them out! read more
WOW WOW WOW! I've heard great things about Tâm Tâm and was so excited to give it a try when my friend made a reservation in celebration of Resy's anniversary. Tâm Tâm is located downtown with street parking available nearby. There is also the metro one block away which is very convenient! The staff is very friendly and consistently checked in on us. Due to the Resy promotion they gave us sweet vermouth made in house. It was sweet and tasted like coconut. We ordered two small plates and one larger plates and found that to be enough! We ordered the shrimp crudo and bone marrow. The sauce the shrimp crudo is in was so delicious I wanted to drink it! I highly recommend that dish! The bone marrow was rich and decadent, it left me wanting more! Finally the goat curry was our large dish and it was enough to share. It was so good and well worth it. I will be thinking about this dish long after. Finally we got their version of tres leches and it was also very good and different! I would order this treat again! If you go please stop by the bathroom for a fun surprise haha! I'm already planning my next trip back! read more
