This particular week, we chose to go to Tamara in Lake Mary for family dinner. We made a reservation for 5:30pm on a Thursday, though I'll say it wasn't needed. The ambience is great! The decorations were well thought out. Tamara would be great for date night or a special occasion as well. The food was nothing short of delicious. For an appetizer, we had the vegetable samosas. The garlic naan is a must and easy for two people to share. The butter sauce with chicken was the star of the show as well as the kadai masala. We all chose the Indian route, but you can also get Chinese and thai dishes. Make sure to give Tamara a try!

I was in the Sanford/Lake Mary area and was looking for authentic Indian food. My original choice was closed on Monday, so I ended up at Tamara-- and I'm really glad I did. The restaurant is beautiful. It has a modern, upscale feel with elegant lighting, comfortable seating, and a relaxed atmosphere. It feels special without being stuffy. One thing I really liked was the menu. Instead of choosing a pre-made entrée, you can mix and match your curry and protein. I ordered the Butter Sauce with Masala Braised Chicken, along with Garlic Naan, and asked for it mild. The butter sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being overly heavy. The braised chicken was incredibly tender and soaked up the sauce perfectly. The garlic naan arrived hot and fresh and was perfect for scooping up every last bit of the curry. Every bite was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive, and although the restaurant has a more upscale appearance than many Indian restaurants, I found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. If you enjoy dishes like Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, or Chicken Tikka Masala, you'll probably love this place. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the Orlando/Sanford area. Highly recommended!

First of all, we love indian food. So when I saw the ad for this restaurant in Lake Mary Collection Magazine, I ripped it out and put it on the fridge. Within a month or so, we booked dinner with my folks on a wednesday night, to celebrate my mom's birthday. She likes indian food, too! When we arrived, our table was ready. It was only 6pm; There were a couple tables with customers, but the restaurant really started to fill up around 7pm. I didn't particularly like our table because we were in line with the window. So as the sun went down, the sun was streaming in our faces. They did not have a way of preventing this - no shade, no movable divider, no umbrella outside that they could move- NOTHING. They just asked us to wait for it to subside. Next time, I won't accept a table that includes the wall bench. Service was good. We had two attendants that came to our table often, to refill our waters, to bring our food, and to clear our table. They even surprised my mom with a birthday dessert! I had mentioned in the comments on our reservation that the dinner was for mom's bday, but so many places don't ever look at that or they don't do anything complimentary for birthdays. But this place really delivered. They brought a delicious slice of tres leches cake with mango soaked indian cakes on top and a candle. My mom was delighted! We all shared the dessert. Regarding the food - everything was good, but not great. It is really unfortunate - I wanted to love this indian restaurant - but we have so many good ones in the Orlando area. This one is ok. The ambiance is good, the food is EXPENSIVE and the food is just ok. What did we have? Cauliflower Manchurian, Kothey Momos, Thai Style Lamb Chops, Goat Roganjosh, Salmon Tikka, Butter Chicken, Shrimp Chingri Masher Malai, Tandoori Chicken, Palak Saag Paneer, Garlic Naan, Four Cheese Naan an Butter Roti. So please don't say I didn't try enough to get an overall feeling of this place. I ordered a TON of food. And we ended up taking half of it home, to enjoy another day. But that's how I like to try a place - I order a ton of food, knowing I won't be able to eat it all. But I want to really try the place. The best dishes - thai style lamb chops, the salmon tikka and the palak paneer. LISTEN- but here's the deal. This is why I say it's expensive: You order the lamb chops, which cost $16.00 and then you add the style which is another $19.00. So the lamb appetizer dish is $35. You order the Butter Sauce which is $17.00 and then you choose your protein, for which I chose Chicken, so add an additional $4.00 and now that dish is $21. Even the paneer for the Palak Saag was an additional $2.00. So it all adds up. I will attach my receipt so you can see the charges. Not all dishes are this way. Everything appears to be a la carte. They do serve each person a bowl of white rice though, which is the only thing that is included. So, I would say the place is good, but you can definitely find better by going down to winter park or orlando area, and you might save some money by doing that. See pics.

Beautiful, Instagrammable venue. Clean space, friendly and helpful staff. I found this place looking for a happy hour in the area. Tamara has great drink and food specials for their happy hour every weekday. I tried a lychee martini, spicy margarita, and an espresso martini. I got the cauliflower Manchurian and chili potatoes from the happy hour menu. Both were tasty and a good amount of food. The chili potatoes came in the format of fries which I was not expecting but I still enjoyed- they had a good crunch too. Overall I enjoyed everything, was thankful for lots of veggie options, and the staff was helpful and checked on me throughout my stay. I would definitely return.

Heyyyyyyyy you guyyyyyyyyyys! Ok welp let's get right in. The asthetic is something to talk about. Super modern, super classy, well done! The staff was pleasant, we opted to sit at the bar and it took a while for someone to tend to us. When the bar tender came over he was very pleasant his drinks were good. The eats-samosas are delicious, momo's really yum as well, cauliflower dish was good. Flavors are well balanced. They do have HH, they also offer hookah, they have outdoor seating too. Overall the place has so much potential, food is very much on point. Let's eat!

It appeared this was the first time they have participated in Magical Dining which became more evident as the night went on. We were greeted promptly and taken to a table that had balance issues. We were going to ask to move tables as it wasn't that busy yet but then a server came and added some napkins underneath to steady the table. The interior was interesting, half bar with two TVs playing sports and then half dining room. When the server came again, we ordered our 3-course meals and my mom and I each got a Thai Iced Tea. The Teas came and they were fine, maybe less sweet than I usually like. Then, it was over 45 minutes until we got our appetizers. I could see the servers running around but either their cook staff was understaffed or the restaurant was not expecting the big turnout for Magical Dining as this point all the tables in the restaurant were full. The appetizers were good, although all 3 came out at different times. The Cigar Rolls are like chicken egg rolls served with cucumber with the insides more like a samosa. The Coconut Shrimp had lots of coconut taste and was served with plum sauce. It was another while for our entrees to come out. My parents like the What The Duck although thought it was a bit more spicy than they like. I got the Fried Chicken with Peanut Sauce since the original choice I had made on the Magical Dining site (shrimp and pineapple fried rice) wasn't in the special menu at the restaurant. The portion was huge with 2 flattened chicken breasts along with broccoli, rice and peanut sauce. It was fine when dipped the sauce although a little dry without the sauce. Another wait and then finally our desserts arrived - Mango Sticky Rice for me and my dad and Fried Crepe with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce for my mom. My mom loved hers and finished the whole thing but I found it a bit plain. The Mango Sticky Rice was great although I wished there was more coconut milk in the bottom of the plate to sop up the rice and mango. I can't blame the servers for the food delays since they were all great. I think the restaurant was just overwhelmed. One more nit pick, there didn't seem to be particular plates to serve each dish in. We saw the table next to use get the Cigar Rolls in a cute basket while ours were served on a flat black plate. This restaurant has good food but probably not worth making a long drive for like we did.

There are not many tables for dining there, but there are a few - while we were there the restaurant was doing a brisk take-out business. The food was truly delicious. Hubs enjoyed his drunken noodles with chicken (Thai hot!), and I loved my Penang curry with tofu. I ordered mild to medium and it was on the upper level of my heat tolerance (ordered mild when I returned the 2nd time and just added some heat myself). We tried the curry crab Rangoon - they were ok. Also enjoyed the purple sticky rice with mangos - so yummy! Looking forward to returning!

Brandon's wife's family is from Laos. The restaurant has been open about 6 years. Why did it take me so long to come here?? It was my dad's birthday. So we went to lunch and shared the papaya salad with Thai style dressing, the summer rolls with extra peanut sauce, and he had the pad Thai w shrimp and I had the pad see ew with chicken. Dad had a Diet Coke (can) and I had a Thai coffee with extra ice. Everything we ordered came packaged in to go boxes- so if you don't finish- it's ok! It's ready to take home. But since we were eating there, they gave us two plates and our choice of chopsticks/fork/spoon etc. The food is made to order but still came out fast. Two to go orders were processed while we perused the menu and another to go came in while we were eating. A table for three came in during that time as well. So this place is probably more take out than dine in. The iced coffee was as predicted - sweet. But not overly sweet. The extra ice toned it down a bit. The summer rolls were huge. He was right to suggest an extra sauce for $0.50 because my dad pretty much used the entire sauce ramekin for himself. The papaya salad was great. Lightly dressed. Lots of shredded papaya with a chunk of cabbage in it, some stewed? Tomatoes. They have the option for Laotian dressing but I am not familiar with that fermented fish sauce? So I went with the Thai style which is regular fish sauce. I probably should have been more adventurous. We got the salad mild so no spice. For my dish I went with level one spice which is mild medium. You could definitely feel the heat after you swallowed the bite. I can't imagine what level 6 spice is like! Pad see ew was delicious. Those chunky soaked noodles in brown sauce with lots of big veggies. I got the chicken. Next time I'll do double meat. I like more meat. Dad had the pad thai w shrimp medium spice. It was definitely more spicy than mine but tolerable. Again- I would get double shrimp, but that's my opinion. We did not get dessert. We thought about ordering the beef waterfall- that will be my next dish. And they had some new specials! So I will definitely be back. I love the Christian atmosphere- not overwhelming and honestly you could go in for take out and not notice it. They do a great job with the food and customer service. In fact, they gave us a discount because my dad is a veteran and he was wearing his hat which reflected his service, and the owner noticed it. He thanked my dad for his service :) the discount was not expected and was a surprise! Wow! I would recommend this place. Family owned and operated. Food is great portion and delicious, made to order. I will be back.

Siam O-Cha is genuine, delicious, expertly prepared Thai cuisine that's worth a drive to get. I've had just about everything on the menu, but let's hit some of the heroes. The dumplings are divine, both in texture and flavor. The chicken satay is really good, but even better is the peanut sauce and Thai pickles that are served with it. They've really taken a normal chicken-on-a-stick and elevated to something culinary. Finally, the green curry. I could eat this everyday. Sometimes, I do. Yesterday, I ordered it Thai hot, and lemme tell you, that's an adventure. Super delicious and alive with spicy energy, it's really more than just food. It's a journey in spice and flavors that are a cut above the rest. And the people are as friendly and helpful as they come. It's definitely just a take-out kind of place, so don't go with the expectation of dining in. But at least you can feel comfortable knowing that for the short time you're in the place, the people serving and cooking your food are top-class. And the food itself, excellent.
