Ambiance is nice. Good lighting, classy looking tables, some nice, chill Indian music playing softly in the background. Good stuff. Service was good. Our server was very friendly and did his best to answer our questions. We needed some allergy friendly food, and there were a few questions where he just didn't know and made a best guest. That's fair, I guess, but that just needs to be better. Food came out timely and nice and hot, the tandoori chicken sizzling up a storm. Now for the food. I started off by getting a Vegetarian Special Appetizer (A combination platter with samosa, aloo tikki, onion bhajiya, mixed pakoras and chili pakoras) for the table. These are always fun, because you don't always know what you're eating. Samosas are always wonderful, and the onion bhajiya is like a better latke. Get this if you like to sample things. Then I had a Lamb Biryani (Lamb and basmati rice cooked with saffron and spices, garnished with cilantro, nuts and raisins). If you're a biryani fan, I'd probably pass on this one. Not a great example of biryani. Very little saffron and other garnishes. There are other great things on this menu. Of course, I had to get some Garlic Naan (Light bread made with fresh garlic, herbs and cilantro). A+ delicious. Light, rippable, soft, garlicky, good for grabbing food like you don't have silverware and adding flavor and texture to every bite. The Chicken Tandoori (Chicken marinated overnight in yogurt with fresh Indian spices and grilled in a clay oven) came out last and on its own, sizzling like the center of attention like a steak fajita. Chicken was well-cooked and very tender. Lots of good flavor, but maybe a little too salty. Overall, this was a very good introduction to Indian food for a few of my co-workers. I'm glad we came. It was a nice visit.

The chicken was inedible. The sauce was too thick-I have eaten vindaloo many many places and never had it look like this in my life. It was clumpy. The basmati rice it came with was fine. The garlic naan I ordered and the butter naan (came with the buffet) were both so soaked in butter that the naan was immediately soggy and not at all good. They brought our Papadums with some sauces, chutney, and mixed pickle. I prefer simple lime pickle, but I find most places here serve mixed. Our main courses arrived and hey were to die for- sthe sauces were as good as any I have had in Britain or even India! The rice was plain basmati, but I would prefer Pillau Rice. The only disappointment for me was the Naan bread, it was unimpressive; it seemed store-bought, not house made. The service was awesome, attentive without being overbearing, and very friendly. So as the sun went down, the sun was streaming in our faces. They did not have a way of preventing this - no shade, no movable divider, no umbrella outside that they could move- NOTHING. They just asked us to wait for it to subside. Next time, I won't accept a table that includes the wall bench. Service was good. We had two attendants that came to our table often, to refill our waters, to bring our food, and to clear our table. They even surprised my mom with a birthday dessert! I had mentioned in the comments on our reservation that the dinner was for mom's bday, but so many places don't ever look at that or they don't do anything complimentary for birthdays. But that's how I like to try a place - I order a ton of food, knowing I won't be able to eat it all. But I want to really try the place. The best dishes - thai style lamb chops, the salmon tikka and the palak paneer. LISTEN- but here's the deal. This is why I say it's expensive: You order the lamb chops, which cost $16.00 and then you add the style which is another $19.00. So the lamb appetizer dish is $35. You order the Butter Sauce which is $17.00 and then you choose your protein, for which I chose Chicken, so add an additional $4.00 and now that dish is $21. Even the paneer for the Palak Saag was an additional $2.00. So it all adds up. I will attach my receipt so you can see the charges. Not all dishes are this way. Everything appears to be a la carte. They do serve each person a bowl of white rice though, which is the only thing that is included. So, I would say the place is good, but you can definitely find better by going down to winter park or orlando area, and you might save some money by doing that. See pics.
