Dali's Laos in Sanford is one of my regular go-to spots. It's a small place inside with a few tables if you want to eat there, but not a ton of seating. They package everything to-go whether you're dining in or not, which honestly makes it really easy to take your leftovers. I order the same thing almost every time because it's that good: the drunken noodles and the fried spring rolls. The food here is always incredibly fresh, and you can tell everything is being made to order. You will wait a bit if you order at the counter (because they are making everything fresh like I mentioned). If you're in a hurry, order online for pickup. If you like drunken noodles, you absolutely need to order them here. And if you've never tried drunken noodles before, this is a great place to start. You can choose your spice level with every dish, from no spice all the way up to super spicy, and their spicy is actually really spicy. I've also tried the massaman (yellow curry), which is really tasty, even at the lowest spice level it has a little kick to it. The wonton soup is good, the pad thai is good, and honestly I firmly believe that anything on the menu is probably going to be good. The portions here are HUGE - they are really generous with the amount of food you get. Service has always been super friendly as well. You order at the counter and grab your food when it's ready. Prices are really good for how much food you get, and the quality is consistently great. This spot is a constant go-to for me

I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai noodles with extra peanuts and Shrimp yellow Curry with white rice it was really tasty. A young man who seemed to be a teenager took my order. He was very polite, well mannered and knowledgeable about the ingredients in each dish. I absolutely love all of the plaques and art pieces on the walls which consisted of positive Christian based words. I read them all as I waited for my food and it was truly uplifting. If you want some great authentic Thai food please visit Dalis! This family operated business is such a wonderful restaurant. Also, they included a note in the order thanking me for my business and also a few stickers with words of encouragement. I love that they love their customers.

Dalis used to be our favorite Thai spot until they sold and some things changed. We stopped going for some time to let things settle. After a long time we decided to try it again. The ambiance has changed a little since the new owners have taken over but it's still a nice friendly to go spot with a few tables inside. Thai food is one of our favorite cuisines and our typical order includes curries for the main dish and summer rolls and papaya salad. The food was excellent but we really misjudged the heat scale. My wife got medium Shrimp panang and I got regular hot NOT Thai hot chicken panang...well her medium was hot and my regular hot was like Thai hot... Everything was good but not the spice level we were expecting. The summer rolls were really good and papaya salad was delicious! (We get ours without fish sauce, we don't like the overly fishy taste)

We ordered this for pickup so I can't say how the service is or the ambiance. But the food here is amazing! Great Thai food and the prices are good as well. Would definitely reccomend this place if you're thinking about trying it.

This place is amazing , you can feel the good energy and smell of good food as soon as you walk in. Whenever I'm craving Thai food and I'm in the area this is my go to. They are always nice and accommodating.

It's always a pleasant time visiting Dalis. They are my favorite Thai spot in the city, with friendly service and great food. Their purpose is in every aspect of their restaurant, from the staff to the food. It's a peaceful, friendly environment that I always love to come visit. The pad Thai, the curry, and house rice are always some of my favorites. If you're a supporter of small businesses, this is a great place to visit.

We ordered: Pad Thai Shrimp and Penang with chicken. Oh my goodness!!!! Sooooo good!!! I really wish we lived closer this would be our new favorite hangout!! The Penang was truly excellent and my husband raved about the pad Thai! The service was incredibly fast and the team are very kind! The music was uplifting and made for a truly fantastic atmosphere. We will be back!

I eat here any chance I can. Their food is always fresh, delicious and authentic. I like it hot and they definitely can make it that way. Their summer rolls are huge and prepared to order. I would highly recommend them!!

March 2024: Menu under new ownership

Dalis was one of my favorite Thai restaurants. They're still good but new ownership as of March 2024 and there are some changes. We got our usual to go order, packaged well and ready right on time. Nothings changed inside, staff still friendly and order was all correct. Their summer rolls were never my favorite and unfortunately they didn't improve. One roll fell completely apart and had huge slabs of cucumber that slid out when we bit in to the intact roll. The peanut sauce was watery and bitter, I prefer mine a bit thicker and a better balance of sweet and funk from fish sauce. The Penang / panang curry was good but a few changes from the one I loved. The menu says it has peanuts and bamboo shoots but mine came with neither. The sauce had a nice heat at medium and was a warm burn, not a sharp heat. The meat and veggies were cooked well. The most significant thing was the sauce tasted strangely of pumpkin? Like pumpkin bisque, maybe it had nutmeg in it? Definitely a different flavor but not bad, just not the same. My dad got masamun curry which he said tasted great and was just like he remembered. So it's still good! Just not my favorite panang curry anymore, but that just means I'm going to try new things there!

Chicken paid Thai - mild to medium spice (asked for extra sauce)

The servers were very sweet, and attentive which is why I'm giving 2 stars and not 1, they definitely deserve some recognition. The food is very americanized and when I say that, what I mean is that there are no Thai flavors in the dishes. The yellow curry was not prepared from scratch, the curry paste is from the store, which is fine in most cases, making paste from scratch is laborious but still it would be nice to have some flavor. The curry itself was quite bland overall and did not have the flavor I would expect. The pad thai was overly sweet. This is my biggest complaint with most pad thai in the US, too much sweetness. There must be a balance, a little sweet, a little sour, a little salty, and spice to ones liking. This was just one note, sweet. It was missing the sour of good tamarind, and the salt of good fish sauce.
