There are not many tables for dining there, but there are a few - while we were there the restaurant was doing a brisk take-out business. The food was truly delicious. Hubs enjoyed his drunken noodles with chicken (Thai hot!), and I loved my Penang curry with tofu. I ordered mild to medium and it was on the upper level of my heat tolerance (ordered mild when I returned the 2nd time and just added some heat myself). Brandon took our order- he's part chef, along with his wife and his father in law and his kids are back there helping as well (they're 18) so it's definitely family owned and operated. Brandon's wife's family is from Laos. The restaurant has been open about 6 years. Why did it take me so long to come here?? It was my dad's birthday. So we went to lunch and shared the papaya salad with Thai style dressing, the summer rolls with extra peanut sauce, and he had the pad Thai w shrimp and I had the pad see ew with chicken. Dad had a Diet Coke (can) and I had a Thai coffee with extra ice. Everything we ordered came packaged in to go boxes- so if you don't finish- it's ok! It's ready to take home. But since we were eating there, they gave us two plates and our choice of chopsticks/fork/spoon etc. The food is made to order but still came out fast. Two to go orders were processed while we perused the menu and another to go came in while we were eating. A table for three came in during that time as well. So this place is probably more take out than dine in. The iced coffee was as predicted - sweet. But not overly sweet. The extra ice toned it down a bit. The summer rolls were huge. He was right to suggest an extra sauce for $0.50 because my dad pretty much used the entire sauce ramekin for himself. The papaya salad was great. Lightly dressed. Lots of shredded papaya with a chunk of cabbage in it, some stewed? Tomatoes. They have the option for Laotian dressing but I am not familiar with that fermented fish sauce? So I went with the Thai style which is regular fish sauce. I probably should have been more adventurous. We got the salad mild so no spice. For my dish I went with level one spice which is mild medium. You could definitely feel the heat after you swallowed the bite. I can't imagine what level 6 spice is like! Pad see ew was delicious. Those chunky soaked noodles in brown sauce with lots of big veggies. I got the chicken. Next time I'll do double meat. I like more meat. Dad had the pad thai w shrimp medium spice. It was definitely more spicy than mine but tolerable. Again- I would get double shrimp, but that's my opinion. We did not get dessert. We thought about ordering the beef waterfall- that will be my next dish. And they had some new specials! So I will definitely be back. I love the Christian atmosphere- not overwhelming and honestly you could go in for take out and not notice it. They do a great job with the food and customer service. In fact, they gave us a discount because my dad is a veteran and he was wearing his hat which reflected his service, and the owner noticed it. Dali's Laos in Sanford is one of my regular go-to spots. It's a small place inside with a few tables if you want to eat there, but not a ton of seating. They package everything to-go whether you're dining in or not, which honestly makes it really easy to take your leftovers. I order the same thing almost every time because it's that good: the drunken noodles and the fried spring rolls. The food here is always incredibly fresh, and you can tell everything is being made to order. You will wait a bit if you order at the counter (because they are making everything fresh like I mentioned). If you're in a hurry, order online for pickup. If you like drunken noodles, you absolutely need to order them here. And if you've never tried drunken noodles before, this is a great place to start. You can choose your spice level with every dish, from no spice all the way up to super spicy, and their spicy is actually really spicy. I've also tried the massaman (yellow curry), which is really tasty, even at the lowest spice level it has a little kick to it. The wonton soup is good, the pad thai is good, and honestly I firmly believe that anything on the menu is probably going to be good. He was very polite, well mannered and knowledgeable about the ingredients in each dish. I absolutely love all of the plaques and art pieces on the walls which consisted of positive Christian based words. I read them all as I waited for my food and it was truly uplifting. Dalis used to be our favorite Thai spot until they sold and some things changed. We stopped going for some time to let things settle. After a long time we decided to try it again. The ambiance has changed a little since the new owners have taken over but it's still a nice friendly to go spot with a few tables inside. Thai food is one of our favorite cuisines and our typical order includes curries for the main dish and summer rolls and papaya salad. The food was excellent but we really misjudged the heat scale. My wife got medium Shrimp panang and I got regular hot NOT Thai hot chicken panang...well her medium was hot and my regular hot was like Thai hot... Dalis was one of my favorite Thai restaurants. They're still good but new ownership as of March 2024 and there are some changes. We got our usual to go order, packaged well and ready right on time. Nothings changed inside, staff still friendly and order was all correct. Their summer rolls were never my favorite and unfortunately they didn't improve. One roll fell completely apart and had huge slabs of cucumber that slid out when we bit in to the intact roll. The peanut sauce was watery and bitter, I prefer mine a bit thicker and a better balance of sweet and funk from fish sauce. The Penang / panang curry was good but a few changes from the one I loved. The menu says it has peanuts and bamboo shoots but mine came with neither. The sauce had a nice heat at medium and was a warm burn, not a sharp heat. The meat and veggies were cooked well. The most significant thing was the sauce tasted strangely of pumpkin? Like pumpkin bisque, maybe it had nutmeg in it? Definitely a different flavor but not bad, just not the same. My dad got masamun curry which he said tasted great and was just like he remembered. So it's still good! Just not my favorite panang curry anymore, but that just means I'm going to try new things there! read more

I ordered takeout from here today (it's been a few years since I last had it), and I just want to start by saying how refreshing it is to see a restaurant in Sanford proudly proclaim the gospel and share the Lord's love with everyone they serve. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai with extra sauce (I was nervous it might be dry like at other places I've tried--but it was definitely not dry at all!) along with the veggie spring rolls. The veggie spring rolls were hands down the best I've ever had in Orlando, period. They were packed with flavor and stuffed with fresh, crunchy veggies. Not only were they delicious, but they were also much bigger than the typical spring rolls you usually get. Honestly, I could have eaten five of them. Texture and flavor? A solid 10/10. The Pad Thai was also delicious! I swapped out the traditional noodles for wide noodles (+$1) because I wanted more texture, and it did not disappoint. They followed my notes perfectly--extra sauce, no peanuts. The only thing I'd mention is that the mild-medium spice level leaned more toward medium than mild. If you're spice-sensitive, I'd recommend going one step lower (no spice). For me, though, it was perfect since I love spice. I'd give it an 8/10. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes and to continue supporting my brothers and sisters in Christ. Super welcoming and a great customer service experience. I had Pad Thai many times with previous owners and I can say that the new owners can cook it up just as good as previous owners did if not even better.
