I had a delightful time at this spa. I booked a mother-to-be 50 min massage and enjoyed every minute of it. The masseuse was really great and I loved that it was a side lying massage instead of the cut outs. Had a very pleasant convo during the massage and had good pressure (can't go too deep when you're pregnant unfortunately). The rest of the place was great. A little slim on the snacks, just green apples, but I LOVED that they had self serve tea. I spent over an hour in the relaxation room doing crosswords and drinking tea. A delightful way to spend some time while it was raining outside. There's also a hot tub, sauna and steam room that I'll have to try out after the baby. The only thing that would stop me from booking again is the price ($193 with no add ons). But I did very much enjoy it. read more

I like this spa very much. The service is friendly and the architecture gives you old money Native American vibes. There's a steam, sauna and hot tub that's broken out by gender. They also have a relaxation room, which is nice for reading a book or just day dreaming. Their spa menu is a little pricey but the experience is stellar. read more

Superb Valentine's treat. My wife had a deep tissue massage which hurt but it was good pain. She took a nap when it was done. I had a facial which included hot oil for the hair, feet, arms, etc. Great relaxed atmosphere in a wonderful atmosphere. Fortunately we are local so we can come back. Highly recommended. read more

Had a spa day here yesterday. I received a CBD massage, facial, hair cut and manicure. They have amenities (hot tub, steam room) which I did not partake in on this visit but definitely will next time! The services were amazing! The staff was very friendly and professional! Absolutely ridiculous. I scheduled a facial appointment online created an account, I noted this was a gift my friend for her birthday. I had to put a credit card on file on so I could book the appointment. When my friend goes to leave after her facial she is told there was absolutely no card on file. The account I set up had my contact information and in order for me to set up the appointment REQUIRED a credit card. My friend was not asked if she'd like to use the card on file, I was not contacted, and she was forced to pay. When I called and spoke to the manager she was absolutely no help and said the card was used to hold the appointment but wouldn't get charged. I'm unsure why they would not charge the card. After stating this again the manager said "well you can just give her the money". Absolutely abysmal customer service. Will never book with them again. Do not recommend. read more

This spa is one of the best spas in New Mexico! The last time I came here, which had been a few years, I received the Lavender Dry Brush Therapy. It was an amazing service and I have performed a body treatment like that at previous spas that I have worked at (I'm a MT) and they gave you the body brush to continue at home. I booked my 80 minute Tamaya Signature massage with the deep tissue upgrade for Tuesday afternoon. I popped in the spa the day before and I had no problem getting the time I requested. Tristan greeted me and gave me a tour of the spa and rundown of everything that they provided. Everywhere I went was well stocked and clean except the whirlpool which had a few dead bugs and debris in there, which is no surprise when it's outdoors. You also have to go outside to enjoy the dry sauna and steam room. And it was a little chilly and real windy that day, thank goodness for the super insulated robes! After that I headed to the relaxation lounge and made myself some Tazo chamomile tea and munched on some red Chile chocolate;dark chocolate with a little spicy kick. There was also green Chile granola, dried fruit and pecans. My massage therapist, Sooz, introduced herself and escorted me to one of their couple's suites. Sooz is an awesome MT! Now I have a therapist to request for next time! She had great flow, pressure, conversation (which was very minimal ) and she loosened me up and attacked my adhesions so well that I was a teeny bit sore the next day. Tristan also checked me out of the spa. I do need to comment that their credit card machine is so finicky! I had to try 3 times for it to go through and the third time Tristan did the majority of it. Whenever I stay at Tamaya Resort, usually once or twice a year, I try to escape to the spa and de stress. Tamaya Mist Spa is clearly one of my favorite spas and I always look forward to coming back! read more

Very disappointed at last visit. Hot tub was not working, no usual teas or snacks. Just generic bottled water. Shampoo and conditioner poor quality. Not worth the price . But, massage was great as usual. read more

I had a craniosacral massage with Tatiana (I hope I remember her name correctly). It was amazing, I've had pain in my lumbar spine for over a year that I thought would require surgery at some point, she made it disappear. She's amazing, and the Spa is nice as well. read more

I enjoyed the facial very much as well as my massage . Both of the ladies that performed the services were great . As for the actual spa it was just ok , the hot tub was not well maintained and didn't have a soothing spa vibe to it and the locker rooms in my option were not well designed how the showers are etc. The issue I really had was the front desk staff and how the bill is handled , they don't go over it well or explain charges and the FORCED 20% gratuity is listed as a "service fee" . I may have tipped more because my services were great but what really irks me is that it's not disclosed that it's already included it's not optional and it's misleadingly labeled service fee instead of not optional tip. That kinda ruined it for me . read more

The therapist actually made me worse despite the fact that the massage was pretty worthless. She spent a inordinate amount of time holding my feet and rocking my body back and forth. The next day and for a week my lower back and hip were hurting me...both had been fine previously. She was also late starting the treatment which put me under pressure for my next appointment. We were spending a few days at the Tamaya to relax and went to the spa for a message. This wasn't the first time we had been there, so we thought we knew what to expect.....alot has changed over the few years since we were there...the outside area where the hot tub was (and it's broken) was very dirty. found floating water bottles in the hot tub, and old bird poop on the small desk around it. The 2 chairs and table were also full of poop. Between the poop and the dead bugs, you didn't want to walk around there. Inside was better kept, although I was surprised that people could bring their own music into the bathroom area....if you wanted a relaxing spa experience, this is not the place. loud music and various types. The only area that seems to be relaxing was the waiting area for treatments. Our masseuse was however very good..else I would have given the place 1 star. For a Hyatt Spa, i was very disappointed in the experience. read more
