I visited to watch a World Cup game on a Friday afternoon, so it was very crowded and loud when I visited. I parked nearby on the street for free. We were watching the game on the covered patio - it's sort of an "outside inside" patio. Despite it being crowded, they had plenty of friendly bartenders so the lines were short to get drinks. I did not spend much time with the drink menu, but they had mixed drinks, beer and hard seltzers. I got a vodka hard seltzer in a can. The patio is dog-friendly, and they provide water bowls for your pup. There were lots of screens to watch the game around the patio. There was also a game room in back with Mario Cart and some others. It's basically a casual, neighborhood dive bar with Dogtown personality. read more

Perfect bar in the heart of Dogtown! While I've only been here a few times, each time is better than the last. After an abysmal dinner, there was nothing I wanted to do more than get a proper drink and relax. I pulled up (surprisingly was able to get a spot right in front) and walked in to a lively inside. The bartender was super friendly, as were the other patrons. After scanning the spirits, I started a tab and got my favorite three olives grape with sprite. A friend ended up joining me and after staying in the inside for about 10 or so mins, we ventured outside. It seems like this is where majority of the people were and then again, why wouldn't it be? They have multiple tvs, ample seating, a bar outside, and a fireplace! We made our way to one of the high tops and people watched whilst sipping our drinks. Eventually, we started chatting with some other patrons and the rest is history. This is an ideal spot for any day of the week, especially on game days! One of my very favorite bars! I've been here multiple times and I'm always happy visiting and spending time here. The vibe is upbeat but chill, and they have a great year round patio. This visit in particular was on Mardi Gras, which was a great spot to have a couple drinks without actually heading down to Soulard. We sat on the heated patio and had a couple of drinks and were able to chat while still hearing one another. Bartenders are always helpful and friendly, and they have a good selection of beverages. I typically go for the 4Hands seltzers since they're my fav. It got to be super packed full of Mardi Gras go-ers, so we headed out after about an hour and a half. Always a good choice! read more

It's a bar. But for dog lovers...it's THE BAR. The patio has an entrance for dogs and their humans. They have a stack of dog bowls and water for your canine companions. There are typically a bunch of pups with great owners so everyone can sniff and play safely. I have a standard poodle (pony sized) that has the best time there just invading the next tables space and getting all the pets. Parking is on the street so might be a touch of a walk. However, poodle loves that so it's all good in my hood. read more

This is were I saw the mirror telling me to "Dive in" Opposite of the Tamm Bar across the patio is a large room. Went here with my husband last night to enjoy a few cocktails. Had a babysitter watching the kiddos & just wanted to enjoy an evening away from the madness with my husband. Quickly realized the crowd there is mostly younger people, i'd say 20s. No big deal! We actually spoke about how we'd come back again - that was until we saw the way this bartender handled an altercation. Middle aged woman, little glasses - MEAN. I watched this woman SCREAM at a young lady about a pumpkin? Handled the situation absolutely disgustingly. The pure shock on this poor girls face mixed with the body language and words coming from the employees mouth was enough for my husband & I to close our tab and end our night. Spoke with 2 security guards outside who said they'd caught word of the situation and were also appalled by how that woman handled it. Before our uber arrived we actually saw the girl poke her head back in and tell the lady to F off. GOOD FOR HER! That woman needed a SERIOUS ego check. You don't speak to someone that way. I've never been a person who has an absolute, top favorite place to eat or drink at (I love to try new places all the time) but when it comes to bars, Tamm Ave takes the spot. Having a first date? They have tons of TVs and friendly locals who will welcome you! Not my first time here but last night I came here for meat bingo. They have a huge patio and during the winter they have half it enclosed the inside was so festive and also had a fireplace which was a nice touch! They do a lot of fun events during the week like themed trivia and meat bingo! Was such a fun event! Since they don't serve food or anything you do have to seat yourself and walk up to the bar for service but the bartenders were super friendly and quick! Since it was an event it was pretty packed but getting a drink was actually pretty easy with having a couple bars throughout the building and a bar on the enclosed patio. Prices weren't bad either and they have a very extensive beer list! TAB is a dive bar in Dogtown, that is host to Mac's Local Eats inside. They both operate in the same space individually, so you need to order and pay each of them separately. The beer menu at Tamm Ave Bar is impressive, so it is easy to find a craft beer to accompany your delicious burger and fries. They also have a menu of specialty cocktails for those non-beer enthusiast. The atmosphere is rustic and minimalist at best. I found it odd that a UK - Kentucky Wildcats flag was hanging in a STL dive bar. However, I was able to overlook that oddity when I discovered they had hook and outlets under the bar. Nice touch. Service at TAB is typical dive bar service - I'll get to you when I can. The bartender was busy talking to friends in the bar and on her cell phone, before realizing I was seated at the bar and needing a drink. Once she realized, all was good. Poor service from the restaurant next door (-) but food offering at all (+). Line at bar prohibited my party of two from ordering probably an additional four drinks. Buckets of beer, of which they have an amazing selection, or buckets of Truly are the way to go so you can avoid repeated trips to the long line at the bar. Tables were sanitized extremely well. Dog friendly. Very casual. Exceptionally friendly and informative (when there is a wait) management. Get there early and order some buckets. read more

Interesting place. The patio is very big and has a nice layout. Lots of seating options. The fire pit is super cool, good focal point. The covid precautions are good - masks, sanitizer, etc. To order food, you call Nomad and it's delivered to your table. Service was varied - a few really friendly staff with fin attitudes, but a couple less cheerful staff who were actually kinda mean. It took a long time for anyone to come over and take drink orders but to be fair it was pretty busy. There are about 7 beers on tap and lots of bottles. Not only was this place grossly overcrowded, it smelled like sewage. We also witnessed a fight break out and these random girls attacked people for no reason. They were so belligerent and just wanted to pick a fight. Security also neglected to deescalate the violent party involved and physically laid there hands on the other group of people who were victims in the situation. It was disgusting and unnerving to witness employees attack and scream at innocent people. They did not try to have any contact resolution and would rather call people "bitches" and threaten them. It was so appalling and sad to see. These people certainly did the owners no justice by acting like this and it's a terrible representation of the business. Hopefully they think twice about who they employ and who they let In the facility. read more
