Perfect bar in the heart of Dogtown! While I've only been here a few times, each time is better than the last. After an abysmal dinner, there was nothing I wanted to do more than get a proper drink and relax. I pulled up (surprisingly was able to get a spot right in front) and walked in to a lively inside. The bartender was super friendly, as were the other patrons. After scanning the spirits, I started a tab and got my favorite three olives grape with sprite. A friend ended up joining me and after staying in the inside for about 10 or so mins, we ventured outside. It seems like this is where majority of the people were and then again, why wouldn't it be? They have multiple tvs, ample seating, a bar outside, and a fireplace! We made our way to one of the high tops and people watched whilst sipping our drinks. Eventually, we started chatting with some other patrons and the rest is history. This is an ideal spot for any day of the week, especially on game days! The pictures I have don't do this place justice as it's truly a Dogtown favorite. I can't wait to come back.

One of my very favorite bars! I've been here multiple times and I'm always happy visiting and spending time here. The vibe is upbeat but chill, and they have a great year round patio. This visit in particular was on Mardi Gras, which was a great spot to have a couple drinks without actually heading down to Soulard. We sat on the heated patio and had a couple of drinks and were able to chat while still hearing one another. Bartenders are always helpful and friendly, and they have a good selection of beverages. I typically go for the 4Hands seltzers since they're my fav. It got to be super packed full of Mardi Gras go-ers, so we headed out after about an hour and a half. Always a good choice!

Ambiance here is way cool. The service was perfectly acceptable. Reason for not 5 starts is that Bloody Mary could've been SO much better with some additional accoutrements... The flavor was GREAT, but for the price paid, I think it should've been dressed up a little more. Just my opinion... But I'd come back.

I was mostly on the back mostly covered patio... Just follow the path to the left of the building with the K-9 sign. It was a dog friendly patio and kids showed up and listened to DJ Stan the Man. The main area patio behind the actual Tamm Bar has tables and a bar to order from. Down a few steps you walk into bar/restrooms area. This is were I saw the mirror telling me to "Dive in" Opposite of the Tamm Bar across the patio is a large room. There is a covered room with games including a large connect-4 game, video games and a general place to play and hang-out. The set-up is nice place to relax.

Casual dining in Dogtown, but really special offerings and not your typical pub grub. Best salad, kimchi brussel sprouts to name a couple of dishes. Served hamburgers as well which looked amazing . The fries were really tasty! Nice bar service and choices. Orders taken at register and brought to your table by number. Great pub !

I love Tamm Ave's patio ! While they may not have the beer you want on tap, they will have a can of something you'll enjoy--such a large selection. Occasionally have live music. Connected to Nomad; you can order food from your table.

Orders: Local Craft Beers | Nomad Cheeseburger & Kimchi Brussels Sprouts Love this bar!! Have only ever enjoyed the outdoor seating (with a fire going during winter to keep cozy, so expect to smell like campfire, but hey that's winter lyfe) & am such a fan. Patio is dog-friendly, has a smattering of tv's to enjoy some sportsball if that's your thing & tons of great beers and delicious grub! I've always found the bartenders to be pleasant & patient with me as I choose the funnest looking canned beer - a strategy often not appreciated in the craft beer scene. But I go where the art goes! & they've always been really great in helping me find my faves. A semi-regular spot for me! Highly recommend!! Ps they have a sweet indoor/outdoor barcade park it's skiball & stuff. Way fun!

Kitchen not open on Monday nights, they should post this somewhere so people won't come down expecting to eat. We sat for about 5 mins, no one came over and said anything to us, so my husband went to the bar to asked about the kitchen. That's when we found out the kitchen being closed on Mondays

Some of the best bartenders in STL. Good prices, great vibes, and good drinks! I would for sure recommend coming here with your friends.

Expensive drinks with bartenders who don't understand mixology. And no food. Definitely not a community bar. Like Seamus or Pat connolys

Living in Dogtown I visit Tamm Ave far more often than I probably should, as I frequent it every few weeks.

From occasional piano bar to karaoke. This is probably hands down one of my top 3 favorite bars when it comes to having a consistent tasting cocktail. We had several shots that night and surprisingly they had pizza! So, we ordered a sausage pizza as well. The bartenders are amazing there and I always have a great experience!

The bartenders were helpful and I appreciated how they had a specific spot to stand if you wanted to place an order. Genius! They had live music when we got there and it was quite loud so it was hard to talk to people at our table, but we managed. They had some bar games that some people were playing and the atmosphere was just right for a chill Friday night. Some of my friends were hungry so they ordered a pizza which looked good. It was typical bar food so they said it was just okay, but since they were hungry, it was enjoyed! They have some seating outside, but it was too cold to be out there. But I can see this being a fun spot in warmer weather! Bathrooms were clean which was impressive for a Friday night.

We came by to grab coffee and dessert one night…read more They have a small bar area in the front of the store to let folks sit and enjoy the view. We ordered 2 desserts and a coffee. The desserts were both tasty and well balanced, the coffee was fresh and screaming hot! The ordering process is a little clunky l, as we had to wait for the ladies behind the dessert counter to be available (they also seat guests in the restaurant it seems) and they didn't see us for a minute. Then you go to a different spot to order coffee and pay. The cashier wasn't sure what the desserts we ordered were called, so she had trouble finding what to ring in. Just made it seem a little unorganized. We were also surprised that tiramisu wasn't an option. But tasty either way! Be sure to stop in and try them out.

The appetizers, artichokes, zucchini fries and Burratta were amazing and the whole party enjoyed them. This was a birthday dinner for me so I was excited when I got there (my former review was about our amazing lunch there so I expected so much more). My mother ordered the pork chop which she enjoyed, she said it wasn't special but it was a good pork chop. My brother ordered the crab enchiladas which he hated. He did admit that it could be a taste thing as he expected sauce and there was bone, just cheese and noodles and crab and not enough cheese. My daughter and I both ordered filet and lobster with scalloped potatoes. I overlooked that it was served with sauce, which had it been flavorful sauce would have been okay but it was as if they took milk... just milk and poured it over each plate. The steaks were not medium as expected... more like a medium well and the lobster... well it is weirdly shredded partially with a bit left in the tail... my daughter complained hers was chewy and mine was ungodly nasty fishy. I even gave my daughter a piece of mine which she said tasted nothing like hers and she couldn't even swallow it. I am not a person to eat a significant portion of a meal and complain so we just ate what we wanted but it didn't take a lot to eat a significant portion because there wasn't much there. For 75 a plate I expected at least quality food and what I received was not quality food. The potato was not bad to me but everything on the table was served tepid and not at all hot. However there were some things warmer than others... my steak was warm, my daughters was cold, her lobster was warm and mine was not. The pork chop was just tepid and the potatoes were just cold. The same went with appetizers, fried artichokes were cold but zucchini was so hot I burned my mouth.... It was much busier when we went last night than when we went for dinner and i left feeling as if they either need more cooks or one that can handle a busy restaurant because the food was just not good. A big disappointment as it was my birthday dinner and one I had really looked forward to. If I were to go back it would be for the lobster roll which was the amazing lunch I had some time back or for an appetizer and a drink and that simply because the staff really are great and the little store out front so cute and J love Italian Grocers... If you go here I recommend asking questions and taking a look at reviews of what you would like to order. Again, I recognize everyone has different tastes and this review speaks to my thoughts on the food last night not on the restaurant as a whole which I feel tries very hard to be a good experience for customers.
