Stopped by here and snagged a seat at the bar. They were running a Bocci ball tournament and had a variety of raffles throughout the day. Even though the place was packed, the service was quick and the regulars at the bar helped us feel welcomed. We had great time getting to know them while also watching a wedding across the street at the church. Tight knit community feel that is also welcoming for newcomers or people who don't live in the neighborhood. The wings were good and I love their fries. Milo's is a staple on the Hill for a good reason. It is a place where you can gather with friends for traditional pub fare, cheap pitchers of beer, and some bocce ball. Of all of the bars/restaurants I've been to on the Hill, and there have been many, Milo's is the closest I've come to a neighborhood bar. In a lot of ways it felt like a college bar. Pitchers or buckets of beer, cheap(ish) food, and a laid back vibe. The staff are always very welcoming. The inside service area is relatively small, but there is a MASSIVE patio. You can also reserve the patio for group events at no cost. You just show up and then order off of the normal menu or can do catering. I noticed that the staff were good about turning over tables and generally they were pretty attentive. The food is pretty traditional for a bar setting on the Hill. Wings (half price during happy hour), St. Louis style pizza, toasted ravioli, and the usual fare make an appearance. All of it is pretty good, and all of it is reasonably priced. Keep it mind though that the place skews towards bar more than restaurant. This is a great happy hour location, but it isn't where I'd take my wife for an intimate anniversary dinner. read more

I had lunch at Milo's on a weekday. I ordered the small Quattro Formaggi pizza with bacon and a small house salad with the creamy Italian dressing. I enjoyed the pizza very much. The toppings were great. Love the gorgonzola cheese and the bacon. My lunch date ordered the chicken parmesan with spaghetti. We were both happy. The service was friendly. We'll be back! read more

Milo's is a great restaurant with an amazing patio. The weather outside was a perfect temperature, and the whole block was popping, but Milo's is where it seemed everyone was. The service was great, and the typical bar food favorites were all wonderful. We had pizza, wings, a garlic bread, and toasted ravs. People were playing bocce and were having the time of their life. The vibes here are great, and so is the whole neighborhood! Parking is challenging but you might get lucky if you drive around the block enough times! read more

We were mixed on deciding to Milo's Tavern given some of the reviews, but we went ahead and gave it a try based on the menu. As it turns out it really wasn't what we were looking for, but it is exactly as expected a bar. A busy local's bar with different food options along with the usual choices. Alyssa was our welcoming and friendly server who cares about Milo's Tavern. She was apologetic about the delay on the Toasted Ravioli. They were plenty hot when they were delivered and she made sure we knew that, but unfortunately they lacked the flavor we were hoping for and they were more breading than filling and a tad bit overdone. We had the Chicken Spedini with salad which were both good, we just wanted better. Each roadtrip that had us go through St Louis has a planned stop for Italian food on The Hill and we haven't been to all yet. read more

Not quite ready to meet my manager and director for dinner at a restaurant nearby, I was early and stopped at Milo's for something to calm nerves and wind down after the workday. Friendly service at the bar where I was able to order a beer. In the back room next to the golf arcade game, it was quiet. No baseball game going on today so the place was a low level of rowdy as opposed to the usual. This is a nice, neighborhood bar in The Hill. The Food: I've eaten everything on the menu at least once (I can only say that about 5 restaurants). My top 3 favorites in ascending order of yummy-ness are: - Milo's Burger (on garlic cheese bread) - Grilled Chicken Pizza (olive oil-based sauce, basil, tomato & cheese) - Grilled Wings (tossed in a house made hot sauce and grilled) no blue cheese or ranch dressing necessary Actually, there's one item I've never had--the Antipasto Tray. Only because I rarely order antipasto from a restaurant. I live on The Hill and often make my own trays at home from the local shops in the neighborhood. I heard more compliments from my family about how she remembered everyone's order and their names. My entire family was impressed by Lexi's help throughout our event. The food was great! We had salad, ravs, chicken wings, and several types of pizza. Lexi checked with us to find out when we wanted food served and stayed attentive to what we ran low on. She is a great communicator so there were no surprises. And we played bocci, which the team had reserved for our party! Couldn't have been a better event. I recently tried the pizza and yum! The Florentine pizza toppings had grilled chicken, artichokes, olive oil tomato and cheese. So good! First time here and not sure what to get? You MUST try their wings! Perfectly crispy and tender with so many dipping sauces! Not hungry, no problem! I came here with a group of friends to dine outdoors on their patio and play bocce ball. Parking was tough and I parked about 4 blocks away, but that's expected for a weekend night in the Hill. It ended up being freezing outside so we really wished there were heaters in the patio! The food was delicious; we ordered pizza, Italian sandwiches, toasted ravioli, and my favorite of the night, hot pepper cheese balls. The cheese balls were SO addicting, crispy, with some heat to it. Terrible name, but they are great. fried, sauced, then fried again. You'll also find out, if you head out for a game of bocce, that you might have been playing it wrong. It's not alternating between the teams. Read the rules and make sure you're there before 6pm so you don't run into league play (they take over the courts when they arrive). I was skeptical or coming here if it would be to old and just ok bar food. But I was pleasantly surprised as it was elevated bar food which I would go back to again. Everything was served on paper plates and was real casual. Ambiance was nice though bocci tournament happening and great service. We saw that the wings were really good and they were we asked for regular extra crispy and they were hot but sooooo good! Also got salads and the artichoke chicken pizza. First time at Milo's and I wasn't disappointed. I tried one of the lunch specials, chicken Parmesean and a side salad with their creamy garlic salad dressing. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The parmesean sauce was good but not anything special. The lettuce in the salad was fresh. I liked the string mozzarella cheese. It was light on shredded carrots and radicchios. I was surprised the meal was served on a disposable plate and utensils. It has the Hill vibe and ambiance which I enjoy. Parking can be challenging since they didn't have a lot. You get to test your parallel parking skills with street parking. They have a nice outside patio and two dirt bocce ball courts that are covered. If you're eating on the Hill, you've gotta have/try Toasted Raviolis (homemade meat raviolis served with marinara); a STL exclusive tradition, which are excellent at Milo's! Also shared Trashed Wings, crunchy outside and tender chicken cooked perfectly inside; you may ask for some extra hot sauce if you prefer them extra spicy but their Wings are superb. And their fried Green Beans are good for a veggie app. Definitely ask about their daily specials. Today we had Chicken Spiedini with house salad or choose a pasta OBG (oil, butter, garlic) or marinara. All are great sides with tender, flavorful chicken Spiedini, but I personally enjoyed their OBG. They also had a Florentine (Chicken, Spinach, Tomato, Cheese) Pizza (STL thin style) special, which was ordered to share in our group, yummy! Plenty of other options for Pasta, Sandwiches, Burgers, Pizzas or Salads. Heard the Italian Roast Beef & Cheese with Au jus was supposed to be outstanding, so I may try that one next time. Decided to try this place out first time , entrance is through the patio only grab a table I have my service animal w me as I have a medical issue that I'd rather not disclose nor do I have to per HIPAA , someone came out and said no animals allowed I informed she is a licensed service animal then asked if I had her paper work / credentials which I had on hand the owner approached me wouldn't even look at my medical records / doctors note and I quote "unless you're blind" service animals are not allowed and asked my group and I to leave .. happy we took our money else where so unwelcoming and discriminating .. also maybe they should have a sign before entering saying no animals even service animal allowed instead of embarrassing their patrons read more

There were a TONNNN of people because they have a bajillion tables outside, and outdoor games. We snagged a table inside and were actually helped pretty quickly, which was nice. Food is pretty good and seemed fresh. would put it on par with most of the Hill considering they're way more casual. Everything came on paper plates and felt very much like a backyard family meal.
