Upon picking up my dog, I immediately noticed she was shaved completely.... obviously FAR from what I had asked for and I mentioned that I was not happy to which I was immediately dismissed and told "she was matted so we shaved her". My dog was not matted, never has been as I wash and brush her once a week... even then, shaving her was never discussed. When I started to talk to a manager I was immediately asked "was she matted" rather than a slight concern. All of them were loaded with algae (you could hardly see in some) and pest snails. I saw multiple tanks with dead fish that needed to be removed. I feel compelled to write this review on behalf of those poor fish. Have some pride in your workplace and clean it up!

We…read morehave always been happy with the care our boy, Tommy Lee, receives here, but what happened yesterday showed us exactly how exceptional this team really is. We dropped Tommy off for his grooming appointment as usual and headed home to wait for the call that he was finished. Not long afterward, the salon called to explain that while grinding his nails, Tommy had bumped his foot against the wall and landed directly on a skin tag. In a wildly unfortunate twist, because apparently a regular skin tag would have been far too simple, it was connected to an artery and began bleeding profusely. The salon team acted immediately. They bandaged his foot, transported him directly to Loomis Basin Veterinary Hospital, and contacted us so we could meet them there. When we arrived, they were already checking him in and making sure he received the care he needed. PetSmart placed the urgent care visit on its account and covered the entire cost without hesitation. Before leaving, the team even asked whether we wanted them to remain at the hospital with us during the appointment. That was far more than we ever would have expected. By that point, they had already exceeded our expectations by miles through their quick response, transparency, compassion, and willingness to take care of absolutely everything. Any business can provide good service when everything goes according to plan. You learn what kind of people you are truly trusting with your pet when something unexpected happens. This team treated Tommy with the same urgency, concern, and care that they would have shown their own pets, and that means more to us than I can adequately express. I wish I knew the names of every employee who helped so I could thank each of them personally. Brooke called today to follow up and ask how Tommy was doing, once again going above and beyond. We had booked the appointment with Koaleen, Tommy's favorite groomer, and I'm sure she also played a part in making sure our boy was taken care of. We were already loyal customers, but the way this team handled such a stressful situation has earned our loyalty for life. Thank you to everyone involved for acting so quickly, taking full responsibility, keeping us informed, and caring for Tommy Lee so genuinely. We could not be more grateful.

This six-week class teaches all the basics to train the owner in how to get positive dog behavior. The small class size makes it possible to focus on you dog even though it is a group class. Zander, the man who teaches the class is very knowledgeable in dog behavior and helps to explain why we do what we do with the dog to get the desired behavior. He also teaches what not to do so that you do not enforce the wrong behavior. I would highly recommend this training.

He is a recent rescue in our lives with a traumatic past and Maddy was very understanding. Even though the hair cut did not work out, she was so kind and taught us how to do it at home where he would be more comfortable with us. We were able to successfully do it at home! If you have a doodle, you know the coat can be a lot to manage. My doodle has a pretty curly coat, so having a careful, experienced groomer really matters. Susie (the owner) and her team always do a great job with her. I try to stay on top of brushing at home, but sometimes she gets into mud or water and I don't dry and comb her as well as I should... so she occasionally shows up a little matted. Susie and her team are always kind about it and get her looking great again. I also really appreciate that they communicate, like when they've called to let me know she was more matted than expected and that they might need a little more time to take her coat a bit shorter than planned. The biggest sign that this is a place that truly cares about dogs: my doodle is excited to go. As soon as we park and I open the car door, she pulls me straight to the shop door. No hesitation at all. Everyone here clearly knows and loves dogs, and it shows in how comfortable my doodle is there. After five years of bringing her here, I wouldn't take her anywhere else. My little love bug always comes home looking fantastic and happy. The photo I added here is post-zoomies shortly after we got home from grooming this afternoon. The groomer did a great job & was very friendly, so I scheduled an appointment for a full groom on 4/19. The staff & groomer were very friendly during check in & I was nervous bc my golden can be a little rambunctious (he's still very young) & has only been professionally groomed one other time at Petco. I asked them to "clean up his edges" & we discussed trimming and evening out the feathers on his legs, abdomen, tail & buttocks + nails/paw pad shave. I didn't really inspect him when I picked him up (why would I? He looked clean, fluffy, not injured & eager to leave so no need to do a full inspection right then & there) - but when I got home and took a closer look I'm very disappointed. They literally accidentally shaved a chunk of fur off his back, they didn't trim his tail or butt at all and the trim job on his abdomen/leg feathers is so sloppy and uneven! I included photos. I'm sad to say Petco did a better job than this and even I myself have done a better job trimming him at home. When I picked him up I asked them how he behaved & they said that he was good/no issues, so not sure why this haircut happened (I'd understand an uneven haircut or a chunk of fur missing if he had been a nightmare and not cooperating but I was told he was a total sweetheart). For what I paid I'd expect at least even cutting & not a chunk of his fur missing. The fur on his chest was evenly trimmed & his paw pads/nails looked nice so at least there is that. I don't like writing negative reviews, especially when staff is friendly & I otherwise had a good experience - but really this haircut is so bad/uneven/they don't even trim half the areas I asked - for $150 (with tip) I feel cheated.

The shop is super cute With all the dog treats and the different designs. They have everything from fresh dog food, dry dog food, specially needs dog food, plus raw hide treats, clothing, leashes and collars too. Came back the day before Labour Day about 11am to drop our dog off for a full groom. The lovely Maddie did our dog's nails last time and this time she was grooming him. It was nice he was someone he was familiar with. As soon as he was ready they texted us to pick him. He came out looking so amazing and smelling good. And what a cute bandana he got from them. We love the staff here they're super nice. We will definitely be back again with Sir Bear. We definitely highly recommend this place for all the dog lover
