I need to rebond crown for my front tooth after chipping it from eating seeds. I looked up on Google search to find the closest dentist. I found dentist Tammy Tran in Foutain Valley dental care. from the positive reviews on Google, I was hoping I could finally find a dentist who would be able to help with my tooth. unfortunately, this will be my first and last time visiting this place. I spoke on the phone with them to explain my situation and they told me that the doctor can fix my crown at the price of $150. I decided to make an appointment to see the doctor. When I came to the office, I had already spoken with doctor Tammy on the phone. After they looked at my tooth without taking any pictures or X-rays, the doctor told me my tooth was broken. I told her I didn't feel pain nor was it bleeding. I believe my front tooth chipped off because of the tooth glue. She told me she will apply the tooth glue for awhile, and told me my crown was too thick which was why my tooth broke when I chewed on the seed. I told her my tooth was shaking and loose because I ate watermelon seeds. The doctor wanted to grind my porcelain tooth because there was apparently no problem with my tooth, just chipped glue. i didn't agree with her because the main reason i came to her office was for her to glue my tooth and make it stronger if she can. After spending less than 15 minutes with me to charge me, i was charged $150, yet my crown still the same and nothing was fixed. The only thing I received from doctor Tammy was making my tooth feel more hurt. As a doctor, she should explain the procedures clearly to the patient before doing it. otherwise if the doctor cannot do anything to help with the issue, the patient shouldn't be charged. the dentist told me my teeth was broken but still attempted to fix it without actually helping me. Why just "fix" my teeth a little bit and then charging $150 in cash only to leave my tooth to hurt even more and still shaky as before? i looked at the receipt they charged me and I didn't know about evacuation, Pat paid, Adj, and Pat port. the only thing I know that I agree to paid $150 for was to fix my crown but the doctor didn't finish or fix it. I actually really enjoyed my dental visit today and I never thought I would say such a thing. I just felt really relaxed on my appointment today because Dr Tran's team worked so well together; I just felt a real positive vibe which put me at ease. Lastly, Dr Tran seems very genuine, personable and down to earth. On a professional level, she seems knowledgeable and has gentle hands . When she numbed me for my filling, I barely felt a pinch. I've never felt so little pain from any of my previous dentists! My new filling feels great and her work was very precise. I was referred by a friend who came to Dr. Tran's office for an emergency and after hearing their office worked with her on pricing and a payment plan, I decided to come to this office after a few years of not visiting a dentist. I got a cleaning and x-rays done and it was as smooth as it could have gone. She truly cares about you and your smile and the staff was as pleasant as she was. A few years back I've had a very bad experience with a dentist, to the point where it made me very afraid of them...it traumatized me. I found Dr. Tammy Tran on yelp and read all of the amazing reviews and decided to give her a chance...plus I had two very bad cavities that needed tending to. Dr. Tran and her staff are very laid back, friendly, welcoming, and professional all at the same time. The receptionist (I think her name was Carolina) was very nice and welcoming. I initially visited Dr. Tran for a cleaning and check-up but did not get to experience her true expertise until today when I had a filling redone. And the experience? PAINLESS!!! I mean, when do you get a shot in the mouth and not feel the sting? NEVER! But that was exactly what I felt...absolutely no pain! Turns out her finesse came from working with children while in dental school and I, in the end, am a big kid when it comes to pain and dentists. My bite on the new filling is spot on too! Dr. Tran is absolutely amazing. I went into her office about 2 months ago for a general visit and cleaning. Her staff was delightful. She had her hygienist take pictures of all the different fillings that needed fixing and show me so that I knew exactly what they would be doing on my next visit. This first visit, I just got my cleaning done by her hygienist who was awesome. She cleaned the heck out of my teeth and I left feeling better than ever. I went back to her office today for my fillings. I've had my fillings done half a million times and this is by far the best experience. I didn't even feel the injection that typically stings like there's no tomorrow. And the bite? I can't even feel a difference. While at the office, I heard another patient stating, "it took us 10 years to find a dentist we love and we're sad to be moving away from here." I must say, I completely agree with them. I have gone to Dr. Tammy Tran for over a year. I had a tooth filling and at mid point while working on it, she wanted to put a crown on instead. The procedure took more than 2 hrs while she was struggling putting a crown on. And it costs me a chunk of change. In regards to her front office staff, it was abysmal when comes to customer service. They didn't clearly explained to me that she is not in network with my insurance company. Plus when I called her office for questions, the return call never came. It took me several try to get to talk to the right person. Now, I'm going to another dentist and the staff was very responsive and very informative about my treatment and teeth health. Dr. Tran performed a root canal or attempted to at least on one my back molars. The procedure did not work and left me in horrible pain. This left me with two options, see a specialist and spend a fortune or have her pull the tooth. I chose the economical choice and had Dr. Tran pull the tooth. It was the worst hour and a half of my life and extremely painful. The week after has been even worse as I developed a dry socket, which I'm not blaming on the dentist. However Dr. Tran never seemed to care I was in excruciating pain and did not or would not prescribe me proper medication to help with the pain. read more

I have to admit.. prior to going to see Dr. Tammy Tran, I was a bit nervous. In the past, I went to a dentistry on Westminster and Euclid near a liquor store (Yep, it already sounds sketchy, doesn't it? My mom took me when I was younger and this was before they had Yelp!) My former dentist was very unprofessional, inconsiderate, and for a lack of another word-lousy! Ever since then, I had always been afraid to go to the dentist. This brings me to write this review of my experience today at Dr. Tammy Tran's Dentistry. It has been six years since my last dental visit and my cousin's recent visit to Dr. Tran's Dentistry was what interested me to making an appointment. Dr. Tran and her staff were SO welcoming. I had never experienced such a bubbly staff. Upon my arrival, I had to fill out my paper work for being a first time patient and after about fifteen minutes after arriving, I was prompted to get my x-rays, meet Dr. Tran, and my dental hygienist, Jessica. (Sidenote: The x-rays are done via digital x-rays now. That's seriously how long it's been since I've gone to the dentist. Who knew they stopped using those old school ones where they make you sit in a chair wrapped up in what felt like a blanket and bite on these white, plastic things?) The best part about my digital x-ray procedure with Jessica was that it was fast and painless-much different than what I had experienced with my former dentistry, which amounted in several inaccurate shots being taken over and over. During my x-rays, Jessica, was very attentive and informative-much like Dr. Tran. The best part about going to see Dr. Tran was the fact that she EXPLAINS everything to you. I love that! With my former dentistry, they were quite unpredictable. My former dentistry did let me know what sort of procedure they were going to do for me, however, they did not give me a thorough, honest explanation that Dr. Tran and her staff provided for me today and I appreciate that a lot! I would have to say that their quality of work is by far the best dentistry I have visited. (It was such a fun and quick experience that I had to call up my cousin and immediately tell her about my time at Dr. Tran's). So I've been going here for the past 2 years or so. The office has changed a bit. I've noticed everytime that I came for a cleaning, there would be different staff. I somewhat shrugged it off and didn't think twice about it and kept continuing. However, I was due for an appt for a consultation with the Dr. that only comes in once a month. I said, ok, scheduled my first appt in December. Was called by the office the night before my appt a little after 6pm to have me reschedule. I didn't have a problem with it and rescheduled for a day in Jan 2018. Received another call the day before my rescheduled appt at 2pm to have it rescheduled again? Now, for an office that charges. Am I able to charge you for having to reschedule with me twice? The calls weren't even a 24 hr notice. I have to take time from work to make the appt. Along with having to let my employer know of the reschedules. It is quite unprofessional and inconvenient. I have to say, I am disappointed. Dr. Tammy Tran and her Staff are AMAZING!! I have not gone to the Dentist in over 6 years because of how horrible my last Dentist was. I had a chipped crown on Monday this week and on Tuesday (next day) she was able to see me to evaluate and take a look at it,as well as my other teeth. She is very accomodating with the schedule and feels great afterwards! i always thought there was pain associated with the Dentist but i felt great after walking out, besides the numbness of the Anesthesia (but thats normal). Today, (Friday same week) i was able to go in and get my last procedures done really quick and it all feels great now! Dr. Tran and her staff are wonderful and reccommend them to ANYONE, especially those that might have had bad experiences in the past.
