Tanya has been amazing throughout my Invisalign treatment, and I recently had my teeth whitened with her as well. My teeth were pretty sensitive during the whitening, but she was extremely accommodating and knew exactly what to do to make me comfortable. She was patient, attentive, and made sure I was doing okay throughout the whole process. Dr. Alex has also been great. I'm currently in the process of getting an implant with him and am just waiting for the final crown. Everything so far has gone very smoothly, and he's been very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I'm still in the middle of my Invisalign and implant treatment, but I've been really happy with my experience so far. Everyone has been caring, professional, and easy to work with. Dr. Alex is very knowledgeable and an expert in dentistry. My daughter had what she thought was serious gum disease. Kept bleeding and painful. After inspection, Dr. Alex did some deep gentle cleaning on certain areas, removed some plaque and gave her instructions on how to blush and floss. She was more than thrilled to leave with all her teeth and gums intact. Can't thank Dr. Alex enough for taking care of my daughter. The office was clean, staff was very friendly too. I am not sure who runs the office or if the owner (dentist) is even in the office. The front staff members are so high and mighty it is not even funny. They speak to you without even looking at you, really, the service is not free. Furthermore, they kept on insisting that I need a referral but I told them, no one informed me of it when I called, they were adamant that I was wrong and looked at me like I have lost my memory . On the bright side, the associate dentist is nice so at least the office does have one or two day of sunshine. read more

i went to Smiles by Alex for the first time for a cleaning just to check them out. A Hygienist named Catherine took me in and explained she was going to take some xrays which she did. Then she went on this long dissertation telling me that I had a cyst in my mouth and that I had bone loss and I was going to loose two teeth if I did not have some sort of surgery. I got concerned and asked her if I was going to see the dentist because normally the hygienist does not diagnose you, that is the dentist job. But she proceeded to tell me that she was a "professional" and that the dentist was going to agree with her. She would not stop talking about the " issues" I had ( I did not report any problems). I walked out, she was trying to sell me expensive procedures totally bogus. I went back to my regular dentist who is a five star professional, honest, top notch but very expensive. He confirmed that I had no problems, no cyst, nothing! That place including that hygienist are totally unprofessional and apparently dishonest. stay away from it!! read more

I had the pleasure of being referred to Smiles by Alex by a wonderful coworker. As a new patient coming from a dentist office that terrified me and constantly told me that I had to spend X amount to fix nonexistent problems, I didn't know what to expect here. Smiles by Alex blew all my expectations and turned out to be one of the best dental offices I have ever experienced. Their staff is well educated, extremely friendly, and above all professional. Almost the entire staff smiled and said hello to me at some point of my visit and they did their best to make me as comfortable as possible. My Hygienist, Cat, made my experience even more amazing by actually taking the time to show me what I needed to work on, how to properly brush with a demonstration, and took the time to check every individual tooth pocket and give me feedback. Cat then proceeded to give me one of the best cleanings I have ever received. I would 100% recommend Smiles by Alex, especially Hygienist Cat, to anyone who is looking for a great dental office for their families as she is well experienced, and it shows through her work. This dental office takes it patients' oral health seriously and it shows. They aren't after your money or interested in "selling" you on anything. Again I have to give a big shout out to Catherine the Hygienist. She is the best of the best. I used her for a few years and then switched dentists a few years back. I only switched because of some situations that had nothing to do with Alex. I then started to let the new dentist clean my teeth. He did a good job, but not until I returned to Catherine did I remember how good she is. She absolutely has your teeth as her top priority. She is much more that a person who cleans your teeth. She even filed off a couple of teeth, because she said that they were causing problems. She goes after the cleaning like it's her mission to make them perfect. I've never actually been able to be treated by Dr. Nguyen because the office staff was unable to be on time for their appointments. I first made an appointment for 10:45 AM. Then they called me back 7 min later, saying that the appointment was actually taken, so we rescheduled for the next day at 10:45 AM and the girl told me to come in 10 min early to fill out paperwork. I came in at 10:20 and signed in. After 50 min of waiting, I asked how much longer it would take, and a rude pixie cut woman in a pink disposable gown finally called "Erica" (supposedly me) in. When I told her I wouldn't be able to stay for the appointment since they ran late, she argued that my appointment was at 11:00, not 10:45. Perhaps their front office employees should communicate with their back office employees because they clearly told me appointment at 10:45. It doesn't matter if the hygienist has 1 hour blocks at 10, 11, etc, because I assumed my appointment would be done by 11:45, since the front office told me I had a 10:45 appointment. They offered to reschedule, but I didn't want to waste any more time to have to wait more than I need to and to be poked and prodded by the rude hygienist. read more

This review is long overdue. Dr. Alex started treating me a decade ago. When I first entered his office, I felt like I could trust him to help alleviate the tooth pain I was going through. I underwent two root canals with Dr. Alex and everything went seamlessly, or so I thought. My family and many of our family friends all were patients of Dr. Alex and we felt we were in good hands. We were wrong. I am currently dealing with a root canal infection that is close to hitting my JAW BONE the endodonist that saw the X-RAYS was appalled and furious. She let me know Dr. Alex DID NOT FINISH MY ROOT CANAL ALL THE WAY! When I called my parents to let them know the severity of my situation my mom reminded me of her implant being put in CROOKED from Dr. Alex and how a dentist in Jersey had to fix his mistakes. She also told me that many of her friends had issues arising after seeing Dr. Alex. I don't know where all these positive reviews are coming from but I want to warn ANYONE to NOT get root canals or implants done by this man. He ruined my teeth and now, years later, I am sitting on my couch on antiobiotics to battle an infection that NEVER HAD TO BE THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. read more

Ok so they are exactly what I Figured. My final appointment is this coming Tuesday. If there was a 100 Star Button this would definitely call for 100 easy. My teeth are already beautiful just with the temps I'm wearing. Tuesday they will put my crowns and bridge and I'll be forever grateful. I had an awful abusive experience. Poor performing practice. Scam. I had excessive pain during my procedure. The staff communication lacks. They are dishonest. They did not complete everything they said they would. It is a rip off. After my post op, my gums were in severe pain due to unnecessary injections. Dr. Alex excuse regarding the many injections was that I have high blood pressure. He injected my gums slowly the anesthesia. I had about 10 injections due to "High Blood Pressure". But I don't understand how I need 10 shots for 1 extraction and to top it off 3+ hours to do it . On so much pain Come on please! And to top it all off when I called back Teresa the receptionist/manager sounded like a broken record telling me there is nothing we can do about it. That the Dentist, Maxi-Facial is out of town. So the MA ordered a new prescription for my pain that did not help whatsoever. (Tylenol 3) I now have an appointment with him this Tuesday once he comes back into town. In the meantime , I went ahead and went to another dentist and this new dentist prescribed me with antibiotics for an infection. Luckily, the antibiotics have helped me and I am no longer in severe pain. Overall Dr. Alex had promised me an implant + post and crown for a total of $4000. And now I have paid a total of $4000. Where $1000 of it has gone to Dr.Alex and the other $3000 have gone to Maxi Facial who did not complete the out post and crown. Because of this situation I now have to go to a new dentist and pay over $2,800 to continue my treatment. In conclusion, I feel I have been fooled by the staff read more
