As a curly girl who is very selective, I found Michael to be committed to detail and the results of our appointments last through to the next visit. *he cuts it straight, so it looks good no matter how it's styled! * On Saturday I saw Michael again, this time for a Brazilian Blowout to tame my naturally frizzy hair and to help protect my hair from the harsh winter. The vibe itself is awesome, and everyone is super kind and friendly. The blowout took longer than my usual visits, but I felt like a celebrity and the time passed rather quickly, because he was so proficient. I'm so glad I got it done and will definitely do it again in the future! As well as being really awesome to talk to and great at curls, Michael also does wonderful work with color. Inconsistent pricing. I was charged three times the amount for the same haircut I received from the same stylist a month prior. I also overheard her tell the secretary to charge a person the same price for several services. I was ignored when I inquired about it. read more

I've been going to Tammy for years and I've been happy every time. She is a master at color and cuts. I've sent my friends and they have also had a good experience. If she tells you a certain cut or color isn't right for your hair type, listen up. She will do what you ask but if she warms you, it's your own fault. The atmosphere is fun and inviting but you better have an open mind, everything is open for conversation. Love this place! I trust no one else but Tammy! She knows her stuff. read more

I have gone to Tammy Blea 4 times. Last time I asked for blue TIPS and a trim, keep bangs long and hair long since it has stopped growing. I said this at time I made appt. & SEVERAL times during appt. I came out with mostly Blue hair, bangs look like dumb & dummer movie, hair cut is choppy, & I can't put it in ponytail. I stated during appt. that I was not happy with all the blue. Tammy gave me some stuff that would lighten the color, but told me there was nothing she could do. I went home & stayed in bed. Hubby came home & apologized for my hair! Next am I went to Sally's supply and asked for help. I got a color remover. I called Tammy's Edge & left a detailed message for Tammy stating how upset & what I was using. I received NO call back or refund that I asked for. I wish I could give Tammy's edge 4.75 stars, because my experience was almost perfect. I just moved to Albuquerque from Chicago for a new Career. I am very particular about my color and cut-- I have fine naturally blonde hair, but I wear it platinum cool blonde, almost white- and I am very fussy about my bangs being perfect. I am always hesitant to find a new hairstylist because my color and bangs are not easy, and I am want them done right. I found Tammy searching online for someone who can do really particular color. Tammy's website has lots of wild emo cool cuts and complex colors, with all kinds of fades and tints. I figured that if she can do complex color and more extreme cuts, she can surely do my white blonde hair and retro bangs. She did a perfect job on my double process color. nice and cool no brass, no gold or yellow, no lines. She gave me a trim and had a very steady even hand with my bangs. she textured them a bit as I asked- since blunt blonde bangs show any and every flaw. I would give Tammy 5 starts for cut and color, and for attentiveness and knowledge. Tammy is sweet, laid back, very thoughtful and friendly. I have to take away one star because the shop was busy and there were a few people having color done at the same time-- which is fine, it is good to be busy. I showed up first thing in the morning and some of the employee's were late, so there weren't enough people around when they needed to be to get everyone situated. A lot of waiting happened to people who showed up after me. The girls who were there were cool and lovely, and once everyone showed up things were running very smoothly. Tammy was on top of everything. I think you could go here to have something really wild done, or go here to have perfect highlights done, or just really great color for anyone. Don't let the hip factor chase you away if that isn't your thing. She did excellent subtle color. I just want to add that Tammy also gave me super cute Victory Rolls. read more

Had a horrible experience and wore a hat for 3 wks. They refused to refund my money because "we don't guarantee our services!!!!" They offered me another haircut which I accepted after my hair grew out about 4 wks later. I already wear my hair short with not much room for error and Tammy chopped it up horribly. It was on a Saturday and several of her stylists called in sick that day (makes you wonder why) I offered to come back during the week since I do not work outside the home she assured me that was not necessary...apparently is was. Very pricey also.....stay away!!!!! read more

I was visiting from out of town for a wedding and desperately needed a haircut. I stopped by this place just because it was close to where I was staying. They fit me in right away. Dani (sp?) cut my hair and it was the best haircut I have had in years! Everyone was incredibly friendly.
