I'm 53 yrs old and have a 17 yr old daughter. I've always been an active person, walking the dogs,…read moregoing to the gym, and a plumber. In 2024 I started feeling really fatigue had shortness of breath. So I started seeing specialist from pulmonologist hematologist, my primary who referred me to.Dr. Leo. After a year and a half of echo tests, stress echoes, ultrasound, X-rays, blood samples,, etc.. my fatigue and shortness of breath, progressed to the point where I felt I couldn't even take the trash out on my home, I'll bring groceries in from the store. . During the 2 years I was not the best patient. I was confused, frustrated, and scaredto leave my daughter. I wanted urgency Immediately. if I didn't get it then I made sure I made it hard on everybody at his office Until I did get it.(btw everyone in his office are great and I apologized to all of them) Dr. Leo handled it professionally as he always does, brutally honest lol and that's what I liked from day one. it was a scary two years for me but Dr Leo and his staff were always there, especially Gigi. Eventually Dr. Leo did an angiogram on me and we found out my heart rate was at 15%.. Dr. Leo immediately that day requested for a life vest rep go to my room at the hospital to fit me for a life vest defibrillator then I would have to wear 24 hours a day until an ICD would be implanted. Now it's May 2, 2026 it's been two days since the implant and I feel very lucky to be alive thanks Dr. Leo you're a Rockstar!!!

I said Sharon was really helpful the other day, meaning when I called for an appointment. Sharon led me to the medical room, took my blood pressure (120/74?), gave me an EKG. When she left I raised the curtain to check the view. Somehow the wide windows and trees make the freeway and onramp look attractive. While waiting, I skimmed the "Good Nutrition" brochure. When Yesenia arrived she gave me what I most want and need: information. Other professionals often just sit typing at the computer, silent. Yesenia kept me fully apprised; admitted she was consulting AI. That's okay with me, I said, as long as an intelligent mind is sorting the response. Yesenia does all those things, so when searching for a word of thanks, I could only acknowledge her as "Exceptional." You run a great office, Dr. Shenkman.

I met him in Northridge hospital ER exactly a year ago when he took care of my elderly mother, admitted with a recurrent upper GI hemorrhage. She had been scoped before, and no source of bleeding had been identified. We had almost lost hope in obtaining a valid diagnosis let alone stopping the bleeding. Providers had given up on my suffering mother and were treating her like a hypochondriac... Then came that young yet fearless Dr. Naim. He acted like the person in charge. He is not someone who will accept missing a diagnosis, and this is a trait so rare nowadays. He studied my mother's extensive imaging history. He also called me and explained elaborately his assessment and plan to me. He is a natural teacher. He scoped my mother and found a 3-mm gastric ulcer that he clipped, and we never saw a trace of that again. So thankful for Dr. Naim's care of my mother who soon later passed away for an unrelated reason. Physicians need to remember that how they treat a patient may be the last act of mercy or battery in the patient's life, and one of the last memories the patient's survivors are left with. God bless your hands Dr. Naim.
