A few popped up - but I decided to go here bc I loved the name. Hands down, best tanning salon I've ever been in...almost like a spa day feeling! Such a variety of beds with different features, a hot tub, spray tan that automatically tans you based on settings - no more sprays by a person. :) The staff greeted me as soon as I walked in; super helpful in explaining the types of beds. I was offered a tour, and at each bed, the features were explained. The coolest thing I saw was a "leg tanner"- didn't know this existed...with a package, the leg tan was an add-on for only $7.00 (I believe while your package is active, but don't quote me.) Also, with a tanning package, you have access to the Hydro massager; again, never saw this. They also have a hot tub that you can rent out by the hour that seats 6 ppl. It was very clean and didn't have that smell (you know the smell - haha.) I went with the Level 3 Great (the KBL 6700)...this has a facial mist. Seriously--what a game-changer. Just as I got hot, I got a little mist - I think it was 3x in my 12m appointment. I'm olive complected and have a good base tan coming back from FL recently so I was curious how much color I'd get - I had immediate results, and tonight, I have a ton of color. Kudos to the knowledgeable and kind staff; representing the salon with pride, which is a clear reflection of what I'd say is the owner's vision for the customer's experience. They also have lots of tanning/health products for sale if you're interested in those things. I liked the fact that the rooms were very clean and private, and even have Alexa to give voice commands to play music, or to control the tv that's also in the room to watch your favorite shows. I did the infrared sauna "intro" and was fairly pleased with the results. I have a sauna at home but it's a big walk-in box whereas this is a lay-down egg-shaped bed that your head is outside. I was worried this would be claustrophobic but it's not at all. With your head being out, and the fact that you can lift it and stop anytime, made it super comfortable. The bed also gives you the option to engage a fan to cool down your head, as well as a vibration massage which felt great. It gets pretty hot when you do the fat burning option, but I was disappointed that I didn't sweat as much as I do at home (the main reason I went was to sweat and detoxify), which I'm thinking means I should turn the fan off next time so my face doesn't get cooled off and maybe that would help. But if you don't want to sweat or don't care about the sweat part, you'll be good to go with the default settings. The only other thing I didn't like about my experience was the confusing prices that I didn't feel were communicated transparently until I showed up. I had to drive a bit to get here, and I showed up thinking my trial was free (as it says on the website) but in order to do a full 30 minutes you have to pay $35. (After the first time, it's $50 for 30 minutes unless you buy a package, in which case it's a little cheaper) They also informed me when I was paying that I also I had to buy two garments (one reusable and one not) that were $12 total. So I went in thinking this would be free and walked out paying $47. Not very cool. I would be fine with the price if that was very clearly explained to me in advance. So just be aware (and ask beforehand) about hidden fees.

It was very typical of what you would expect an upscale salon to be on a smaller scale. My daughter had given me a gift card so I could have a pedicure. I went at the tail end of June to get an appointment before going on vacation on July 13. I thought I had enough time. When trying to make an appointment I was told that each tech/hairdresser oversees making their own appointment...? Ok, that wasn't my experience with Anjoli from Amherst, but hey who am I to tell them how to run their business? One nail tech was consulted, and she said she was booked until the 16th of July, but the girl at the desk took my number saying that the other tech would be given it so she could call me and make an appointment. I said thank you and I left. I waited, one week, two weeks, I went on vacation, when I returned, I called and left a message. No response. Four weeks later and still, I wasn't called. I private messaged them on Facebook and got a quick response with effusive apologies, "it's not a normal practice, we adore our clients, sorry that this slipped through the cracks". I gave my number again and waited a few more days and still no callback. I finally went into Blush again, stated my complaint and requested a refund. Which was denied, because that is not their practice, however, my number was taken again so that the owner could call me. Five minutes after leaving Blush, I received a call. It was from a nail tech. She had an opening that Friday and was able to finally accommodate me. As pedicures go, Ty did a very nice job. It was a relaxing experience. I enjoyed being in a pleasant room having my feet and legs massaged. I cannot find fault in the treatment. As a business, however, I think they need to come up with a better system in order to ensure that potential customers do not "fall through the cracks". Will I return to Blush? Probably not, as a potential new customer, I didn't feel valued, plus I have better things to do with my time than to wait 5 weeks for someone to call me to make an appointment.
