I just left the Gateway location and the girl working was killing it. I didn't catch her name, but she has short blonde hair and impressive eyeliner. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. She had two young girls asking her a bajillion questions while they were fully aware that people were waiting behind them. Then the computer crashed or her server went down or something, just as the place is filling up with people getting off work and wanting to tan. Then the beds shut off in the middle of sessions. And the entire time this was happening, she was alone. The fact that she not only kept her cool, but remained apologetic and kind was incredible. I've been in her shoes a million times and I know how stressed she must have been with everything falling apart around. But she did amazing. TR desk girl, if you're reading this, I'm so sorry that happened to you. You did great in a very stressful situation and you deserve the strongest drink when you get off work tonight. For anyone reading this and wondering why I'm giving this place 5 stars when it seems like nothing works... I've been coming here for a few years now and this is the first time there has ever been a problem. I've never once had issues with the beds not working, everything has always been very clean and the customer service is SO much better than any tanning salon I've ever been to before. Today was very much a one-off situation where there was clearly something wrong with their system. If you're looking for a tanning salon in Eugene area, you really should give tan republic a try. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! I have had a membership for sunless tanning with Tan Republic for just shy over a month. You cannot make an appointment prior to going in... today I was told that there were three people ahead of me... sure.. I'm thinking 30 minutes? Why wouldn't the front desk tell me otherwise? And hour later, I was finally able to get into the sunless tanning stall, only to have the machine not work two separate times... adding another 20 minutes to my already hour of waiting, like I have nothing else to do. Mind you, I had to put my clothes back on two separate different times to tell them the machine wasn't prompting me to start. Needless to say I walked out of the salon, without a tan, and now have to be charged a whole month worth of tanning to cancel my membership. DO NOT GO HERE, unless you would like to wait over an hour for a tan. It's much more worth it to be able to actually have an appointment so that you don't waste time. And on top of all of this, when I asked for the Cancellation number and walked out of the facility, The staff made me feel as though I was The inconvenience. Completely unprofessional. read more

Came here to receive a spray tan on 6/9. I had to sign an updated waiver to tan in the beds, which was fine. I subsequently informed the attendant that I currently have skin cancer spots removed from my body from tanning in the beds so I was not there for that. No response at all. She rarely looked me in the eye, even when trying to sell me add ons for the spray tan. Front desk personnel at Tan Republic have always been very personable and kind to me in the past but this interaction felt very impersonal. Customer satisfaction should be paramount in every business setting. read more

Great customer service! I wanted to tan on my visit to Oregon and I chose this place. I was greeted instantly by a young lady I think her name was Moriah. I told her what I was looking to do, she informed me on all the beds/ services they offer. Moriah even helped me pic out a lotion to optimize my tan and she helped me pick out the best services for my end goal! She was so nice and informative. I wish we had tan republic back near me, they offer way more services than the place I use at home. Very cute facility too. read more

I went in this evening and they were swamped busy. I want to say there were 5 people waiting when I got there and all the rooms were full. Those girls working tonight were rockstars! Great service. Wanted to do a "test tan" to see how it'd look for my wedding. The young lady was very accommodating and offered some tips to preserve the tan and suggested since it's a "test tan" to do a 3. Apparently a 2 is the average, but said I may as well try a 3 and if too dark can do a 2. So glad I did. I love it! read more

After canceling my membership fully with no amount due in my account, their systems "glitched" and stole $20 from my card on the day that fees are due. I contacted customer service and they wanted to give me $20 in credit to use at their stores but I of course said no. Then they said they couldn't find any history of that transaction going through, so I sent them a picture of my bank statement clearly stating the date, time, company name, and amount taken out, so they then stopped responding to me and I still haven't gotten my money back! read more

I'm a fan of Tan Republic and this is easily my favorite location. Lindsey is always a pleasure - she really knows her stuff and is really sweet about it. TR has the best beds and I like how open and clean the lobby and rooms are. The Bose speakers are a major plus too! read more

I've been using Tan Republic off and on for years, this location hands down is my favorite. The layout is spacious, they have a great selection of products to purchase and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The stand-up diamond bed is epic, holy color. Also I'd like to give a shout out to Lindsey, without her this place wouldn't have the sparkle it does, she really offers amazing customer service and has a way of making EVERYONE feel welcome. All the hard work shows and this is for sure the best location in our area!! read more
