    I am new to town and I have never been to this GLO location. I have been going to the ones more…read morenorth in Dallas where I used to live. I walk in to tan and a little girl with dark hair and eyelash extensions standing at the counter was clearly irritated at my existence in the salon. I scan my card and ask about what beds and options they have at this location and she starts rattling off the names of the beds/ services... ok that's great in theory but I do not work there and I do not know what all the names of the beds mean... so I ask her again to explain them and she just stares at me like I'm from another planet. Another girl named Jaden (maybe Haden??) walks up and witnesses this. I say to the mean girl, "I'm leaving, you're being mean" and Jaden speaks up and starts trying to help me. I asked to talk to the manager and she was so sweet and then Jaden walked me through the salon, gave me a tour of all services and amenities this location has and she set me up in each service I did today. Jaden saved the day at GLO and I hope she is working every time I go in. I hope management can use this as a training opportunity for the girl that was so mean, to learn how to be cheerful and helpful when you're in a customer service role.

They have to upsell or they'll get written up or have to watch videos and do a write up. But clearly they have no idea what some of the products are they're trying to upsell. I thought Glo Tanning was all about customer service and knowing their products, but tonight was a massive disappointment. I was heavily trying to be upsold on products by a staff member who clearly didn't know what she was doing just to get her commission credit for the night. They sold me on feet pads for my spray tan but gave me zero instructions on how to use them properly. I was simply told to stand on them after I got out of the spray tan booth. They didn't even walk me to my room or demonstrate how to use any of the upsell products I purchased! Which I was advised by others this is what they should have done. When I got out of the spray tan, I was totally confused. After getting dressed, I went to the front desk and asked the blonde employee to explain how the pads were supposed to be used. Her response? She said it was a "personal preference" if I wanted to use them during or after. WHAT? That didn't even answer my question. Why does one side have paper you take off and it's stick. Where do you stick that? on your feet in the bed on the floor on the rug? What? (She did add that the "good news" is I can use them next time). Also, a tip on basic customer service: Instead of just assuming I know where my room is, tell me where to go. Saying "if you go this direction, it's going to be the first door on the back wall" goes a long way. I am highly frustrated with the lack of training and care here. Knowing that their job is to upsell. My bad ... I was tired probably should've asked more questions. Maybe even asked for a demo. I won't be doing that again. Oh, and just as an FYI... the bottom of my feet are dark from the tanning solution wow!

That should…read morereally should have been our cue to leave, but the place was really cute and Caitlyn and Halle were very nice. Truly enjoyed our time talking with them both. We were off to a rough start when they called to ask us to come in fifteen minutes early at noon so we could have a longer consult time. We showed up early, but they didn't actually get to us until after 12:15 because they were working on other clients. Halle asked us about the colors we wanted and then they sent a girl to go buy our color. That was probably the second cue to leave. They didn't actually start on use until 12:40. So we spent 5 full hours there :( I suspected the color wasn't going to be as rich since the rinse, shampoo and conditioning was all done with hot water and there was nothing placed on the hair to seal it. I do wish that someone would have said something then about the blue only being on the bottom two inches of my hair, or the the fact that it was blue and not purple. Halle did my blow dry and when it was all done she turned me to the mirror and explain how it didn't "take". No options given for how to make it better... just a whole lot of explanation. After Halle left for the day, Caitlin did offer have us, because by this time she was to the point where my nieces splotchiness was visible, come back next weekend for a fix. The place was so cute, they do offer drinks and as long as you aren't going to fashion colors- the hair I saw in there looked great. Or take notice of the yelper that did get hers done correctly and ask for Kim. I am getting mine fixed next week somewhere else. The hairstylist suspects it was just low quality color and the hot water that played a big role

She works magic on mine every single time she's touched it. Since she's started on me I've been a red head, and most recently... a blond!!! I have naturally darker brunette hair so the color has to be gradual, if less damage is to be done. She has brightened it and brought it up to a flawless looking blonde. If you are coming off a horrible experience and need someone that can "fix" your hair, I recommend coming to see Jeannie for a evaluation. She can talk you through the process and what it's going to take to fix it. She has several wonderful hairdressers on hand to finish your color with the prefect cut!!
