Garlic Naan: Garnished with cilantro & garlic Shahi Paneer: Cheese cubes in a creamy rich gravy with onions, tomatoes and cashew nut. Visiting from Los Angeles and decided to finally try this place out, family and friends had mentioned how good it was. Kept our order simple, Tandoori chicken, Garlic Naan, Paneer Pakora, and a mango lassi. This was the best chicken I've ever had, deep flavored and super moist. We drive about 30 miles to come here, the food is (mostly) delicious and served like a high-end restaurant instead of what you'd expect to see attached to a gas station off a major highway. The staff is friendly, helpful, and service is excellent. First time we came we were super impressed with the samosas which were nice and hot all the way through and perfectly crispy on the outside. The butter chicken was good as well, but there's another restaurant we found to like better for that. The other day we came for dinner and saw they had more options, so we were super excited to try the butter chicken pizza! Sadly it wasn't as good as we were hoping. But that's ok, we've got a favorite spot for that! I like that they now seem to have a case for grab and go stuff, like the mango lassi (pictured) and sweets (sorry, didn't take a pic of that.) we came late in the evening so the case was fairly empty, but I think they may have more items during the day. read more

I recommend Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, chicken curry, Aloo Gobhi, Mixed Paranha, Makki Roti with Saag and Vindaloo,Veg. Samosas, Paneer Veg.Biryani, Chat Pardi and Garlic Naan, freshly made and still hot by the time I arrived at home. It was all for a get together meeting, everyone including myself we're stuffed not leaving any left overs it was that delicious. I'm ready to return and try more of their dishes. The food is delicious and staff provide prompt, friendly service. We order mostly take out. My only critique is how they portion the tandoori chicken. They state a half chicken on the menu but serve less than a half chicken. The meat portions are a little skimpy for the money. I don't consider a drumlet of a chicken wing, a normal piece of chicken. Other than that, I love this place! We ordered at least 6 different dishes and all were hot and delicious. This is a home run for Patterson. read more

Not sure who is giving this place 4.5 stars. Food is below avg and service is worse. If you're heading on the 5 fwy and are feeling like some Indian food just keep passing this place. You will find better. If you never tasted good Indian food than you might like this place. Service is horrible. I called in an order he tells me 15 mins. We got our food an hour later. No apologies, no nothing. I'm not accusing the place of being biased but 3 Punjabi Indians came in after us and they got their food before us (makes you wonder). Oh well! After a long road trip from Oregon we read reviews for restaurants near our hotel stop. Being in the middle of nowhere we didn't expect much but then we came across Tandoori Flame. All the 5 star reviews made me skeptical since it's connected to an am/pm but seriously, it was terrific. We ordered the shrimp skewer, 2 appetizers, and 2 entrees as well as kheer for dessert so I feel like we got a pretty good sample of the menu. Everything was made fresh and spiced to perfection. The curries, aromatics, vegetables, and chutneys were all on point. The garlic naan is made fresh and is an excellent add to all the dishes. Well do yourself a favor- if you're on a road trip or just stopping through. Definitely stop by! The food was SOOO GOOD! And satisfying! I'm normally not keen on eating Indian food out (it's just not the same as when mom or aunties make it) ..... but as we were stopping in town to charge our car ... the Yelp reviews sold me and I figured we'd give it a try! It was a hot day and chaat sounded like the perfect lunch option ... we also got chaat papdi, aloo tiki, veg biryani and chili chicken. High recommend all of it! I totally understand walking in 7 mins before closing but I really don't understand the reason of being rude to a paying customer. I came in during the week to place a to-go order and the person that took my order was short and impatient. I love Indian food but I'm not familiar with the menu items so I needed help with my order. Not only was he rude, he made it a point to keep reminding me that they were closing in a few minutes. I showed him pictures from Yelp and he didn't know what the menu items were. I ended up looking at the menu description to figure out what I wanted. Mind you, there was 2 other people waiting for their food so I wasn't the only one in the restaurant. After I received my total for $85ish dollars, I was annoyed with him and just wanted to pay and get out of there as fast as I could. If you don't want a paying customer, then go ahead and close your doors at 2:50 so that you don't get anyone walking in. Simple as that! As far as the food, we ordered butter chicken, tandoori chicken & paneer curry or masala (I don't recall the exact name). Naan: 3/5 Butter chicken: 3/5 Chicken was moist and sauce was oily. Taste was good and not overwhelming. Paneer: 2/5 Paneer chunks were a lot bigger than I prefer. I had to cut the chunks to make it smaller. I added a lot of hot sauce to make it more spicy. Doesn't stand out much when you drive by, but the food was the best Punjabi style Indian food I have eaten. Every dish was authentic, freshly made and mouth watering! We ordered the Gobhi Paratha (they were so thin and tasty), Garlic Naan, Aloo Gobhi and Tandoori Chicken tikka. Every bite left us wanting more. I would totally recommend trying the Gobhi Paratha. We did ask for spicy which was slightly higher than our spice tolerance. But that didn't stop us from finishing up the food. Highly recommend eating here! read more

Tandoori Flame raises the bar when it comes to truckstop restaurant food. OMG. You really don't understand what a difference it means to have excellent food in a truckstop town until you have eaten here. This changes everything. If I ever have to go up and down the 5 again, Tandoori Flame is where I'm going to stop to eat real food. I also eat mostly plant-based food, so this makes a huge impact on my experience of travel. Most of Highway 5 is really boring, but this restaurant at an Arco station is a destination in the middle of nowhere. The service was great. The menu was long.
