The portions were incredibly generous; we couldn't even finish our meals and ended up taking more than half of the food home. What impressed us just as much as the food was the outstanding service. Our host checked on us several times throughout our meal to make sure everything was perfect, and toward the end of our visit, the restaurant manager personally stopped by to ask how we were doing. That level of care and attention made us feel truly valued as guests. You can tell it's a family-run restaurant, which gives it a welcoming feel. The restaurant itself is small, and the food did take a while, but it was worth the wait. I've been wanting to try this place for quite a while. Tonight my wife and I made the trek. We were warmly greeted as we walked in. After being seated, I believe the owner (Del) came to our table. We told him we'd been wanting to try this restaurant for some time and decided tonight was the night. He brought us an appetizer (on the house) and after talking to him, we decided to get some hummus, plus rack of lamb and chicken thigh skewers. The meal was brought out on a large platter. The presentation was awesome (see my photos) and the taste of everything was exceptional. We had plenty of food to take home and our bill was only $66, which I feel is a great price for all we ordered. I highly recommend this place. Stopped by for dine in today, just about 3 other people dining, but plenty of pick ups even catering pick ups. The place is small in a plaza, plenty of parking and seating. Quiet place, clean, family owned. I asked if they use msg since I'm allergic and he said no they only use saffron. Super nice cook & waiters, very attentive. Food is obviously made fresh becuase it took 15 minutes to be served and the food was hot, plate was not ;) the pita bread(?) was like a flour tortilla. I'm mexican & it tasted just like it! I don't know if the food is authentic, but I thought it was delicious! Flavorful and juicy chicken, rice was abundant. Turkish coffee was great too! We literally drove up from the South Bay just to try this place out in person (rather than through an event). Coming from LA, we have a ton of Persian restaurants. Nami-No is top-notch and puts a lot of them to shame. The koobideh is properly offered with a mix of lamb and beef, the chicken was grilled to perfection. Breast pieces, juicy, filled with a flavorful bite. A small hole in the wall operation ran with skill and professionalism. This is a gem in Turlock because this cuisine, done right, is not easy to find. Amazing is all I can say. The staff is so helpful and welcoming. It has easily become our family favorite and we enjoy coming here for date nights too. This is a family ran business that we need more of in the valley. They care about your experience. Cute interior with paintings on the wall and take out available too. The flavor profile is complex and layered. - Lulah kabob served with roasted peppers, purple onion, herbs, and roasted tomatoes. This place used to serve authentic Persian food. It has retained some authenticity in how hey prepare their meat. However, the fact that lavash bread and pita bread, essential staple of middle eastern cuisine, were replaced with over toasted tortillas! Grilled tomatoes were also missing. I understand cost cutting can help a business but that doesn't seem to be reflected in their prices. There is better Persian food out there! The people were very courteous and likeable.
