Drove from Riverbank on Jan 15th to have pizza on my husband's birthday. We ordered one large pizza and two drinks. Pizza ordered was half chili paneer and half curry chicken. We were told by the young man working that paneer was out of stock. Half the pizza was chili paneer without the paneer. I ran my debit card and was told that the transaction didn't go through. I had added a tip to the first transaction which totalled $41.66. I ran it again and did not add a tip which totalled $37.20 and signed the receipt. Now I have 2 charges to my account totaling over $78. I called my bank and was told that Tandoori pizza should easily be able to refund the additional transaction. I just got off the phone with tandoori pizza after speaking to at least two people. They have no record of the second charge. I now have to go to my bank and dispute the additional charge. Just a hassle. I recommend cash only if you decide to visit. Pizza flavor is great although the amount of herbs has definitely changed from when they first opened. They used to pile fresh herbs on top and the pizza was outstanding. Also, no paneer? Just disappointed that we drove so far for an $80 pizza that I am going to have to take time at my bank to resolve. I was told that they don't have a way to contact the company who issues charges for them. That doesn't really make sense to me and although I was told that this issue "is not about customer service," it is about customer service. Tandoori pizza needs to figure out how to resolve issues like this or get a different company to run your credit/debit cards through if in fact they are have no way of contacting them. read more

I have eaten the lunch buffet twice. At times there has been a small wait for new pizzas to be put out and there wasn't ice for drinks either time. But, the pizza has been amazing. I love Indian food to begin with. I had some Indian pizza in SF 20 years ago which was good, not great. This is terrific. The dough is really good and the toppings are very generous. The flavors are wonderful. It is spicy, but never burns to discomfort. (If you don't eat spicy foods ever, it will be too spicy.). Pizza this good could have started in India and become a worldwide food phenomena like Italian pizza has. This is up there with Round Table and Mountain Mikes for quality pizza. The traditional (Hawaiian, pepperoni) pizzas are good. There is plenty of seating, three TVs, clean dining room and bathrooms. There could be more decorations. read more

This is our GO TO Friday night pizza. We get a large Tandoori Chicken Pizza and throw on RuPaul's Drag Race. Their pepperoni pizza is good too, but I really recommend their tandoori chicken pizza. I have asked for just the chicken itself, because it is just so good. The staff here are always kind and welcoming to everyone. The atmosphere is great too, always clean, bright, inviting. We recently tried their lunch buffet, and OMG. It's so good. It's very cheap and you can get it cheaper with no drink. The food has not been sitting out for long at all, so it doesn't feel cold or clammy. They had a good variety with the buffet as well. Definitely check this place out. read more

This was my favorite food stop along with LaMo when my husband and I came back to his hometown for a family visit. It makes sense, and it is executed well: tandoori chicken on pizza is delicious and the same oven can be used to make both! I loved the cauliflower crust that you can get--more delicious than a regular crust in my opinion and certainly much healthier. This is a healthy delicious restaurant and there is a pleasant interior and nice people working there. Turlock should support this unusual restaurant making such healthy and delicious food. The pizza was great here different from traditional pizza but it was a solid 9/10 had the chicken tikka and tandoori pizza and all meat pizza also had an appetizer TP cheese breadsticks I recommend you come try it out! Service was excellent they gave us recommendations on what pizza is mostly ordered and spice levels and all very great service. The place is very well rebuilt clean and tvs everywhere! Food quality is great and taste is delicious! Little pricey, but they are pretty generous with the toppings. They've always been pretty kind when I call in and pick up. They are never very busy, but it could just be the location, or people just ordering for pickup/delivery. Very clean inside as well. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out! I highly recommend! The pizzas here are unique and AMAZING! I highly recommend their shahi paneer pizza. It had a wonderful combination of sauce and seasonings with fresh toppings. A wonderful Indian pizza. The environment was also very clean and tidy with TVs playing different programs (only one had sound playing to avoid noise pollution). There is hardly anyone who dines in. So, until it gets more busy, you can pretty much have the place to yourself! The $10 buffet is a steal as well! Tandoori pizza was so delicious! This used to be the huckleberry breakfast café, which is now turned into an Indian inspired pizza shop. The ambience inside is very modern. They also serve beer and wine. My son had his soccer teams meeting held here and we ordered pizza for, all the picky eaters and the spice lovers. This is a very unique restaurant and is it Italian/Indian infused pizza parlor. I recommend you try their spicy chicken pizza if you love a good spicy dish. OMG! I have never tasted pizza like this before and I love pizza! This is an Indian twist on Italian pizza. This is not Guido's kitchen; it is different. I got the Chicken Tika pizza. I think I teared up. It was nice to have a fresh take on pizza. There is no crowd because folks are not sure about Indian pizza. Dont worry. I dont eat Indian food but I come here often. The pizza was awesome!.. this was the third time here and they haven't disappointed... our first time we got the Chicken Tikka and as yummy as it was I couldn't eat much because I didn't realize it was one of their spiciest pizzas. Today I tried the Tandoori pizza and the Garlic Chicken Comb. I recommend them both! The Tandoori has the flavors without a lot of heat. The Garlic Chicken has a white garlic sauce, scrumptious! We tried this place tonight for the first time based on the good reviews. Here is our experience: Service: nonexistent. Once you receive your food, that's it. It's not a "dine-in restaurant" experience. No one will check on you etc. think fast food style. One person (poor kid looking to be doing his best by himself) and a few other guys just sitting around up front. It will be hard to get the items you need such as plates, napkins etc. Atmosphere: again, nonexistent. Doesn't remotely feel welcoming or inviting or give off the feeling of a "pizza joint". Food: I actually really enjoyed the pizza. We tried the tandoori chicken and I personally really loved the crust and all of the flavors. I think it is a much better crust than many independents in our area. However our order was wrong so we had to wait longer still for it to be corrected, which at least it was without a hassle. Overall I would eat here again with pickup only if I was really craving these flavors. I do feel they won't make it if they don't match the service and atmosphere expected with price charged. Mountain Mike's is lower in price.. I really love to support family joints, but with my money it's got to hit all the marks to keep me coming back because it doesn't go as far as it used to.
