Great little leather store! I'm not a leather artist, but my shoe repair guy sent me here to look for a part to fix a purse which they didn't have. However, they had tons of leather and suede in rolls that looked gorgeous. Also had cowhide rugs that seemed to be priced well and well sized. read more

we went there last weekend. they wouldn't let us in because they said they were limiting customers to 5. It was 115 degrees outside! we stood by the door forever! we looked inside the window and we could only see one person on one side of the store and another person on the complete other side. this was ridiculous !!! It was way beyond social distancing and wearing masks !! we finally left !! Sweating like crazy! i felt like i was going to pass out. we won't go back! just stupid and ridiculous ! no way to treat customers! read more

Went here Sunday for a big sale. Store is nice and well laid out. They offer both free and paid classes from beginner to advanced crafters. Employees are friendly and helpful. Good selection and sale prices are great! read more

I have been shopping at the 35th and Greenway store for about 5 years. The employees there have been very helpful. They know their inventory and can locate or point me in the right direction no matter what I need. They often answer any questions & give suggestions that help with projects. I walked into this little shop awhile back but felt it deserved a review as I am now in there several times a month. If you are new to leather and want to try out a few things or just want to see if you would even be interested then I highly recommend dropping by. The staff can help answer any questions with no pressure to buy anything and I even found that the customers in the store are very willing to help point you in the right direction. They have a table up front to try stamps and individual tools as well as a big table in the back that they run classes on. I have gone in for the basic tooling class and I was really impressed by the knowledge of the instructors. Keep in mind that some of the classes are free and some charge you a small fee for materials but you will need to bring very minimal tools. They have starter kits for sale that work as awesome gifts for anyone that has voiced an interest. read more

Had a bad experience 12/03. Employee asked if my husband or I were veterans, answer-no. She asked if we are from Sun City, answer-yes. She said that qualifies us to pay the lowest price on the sales ticket. We shopped for half an hour or so and then took our purchases to be checked out by the same employee. She asked the same questions, we gave the same answers. She now said we have to pay full retail, the highest price. I pointed out that she told us we would pay the lowest price, she said she knows that but she was wrong. Won't be returning. read more

As a normal procedure I would not wait 8 months to write a review. However I wanted to see the results of my purchase. I had a split leather belt that I had not worn often that split apart. It was not a cheap belt so I looked around on the internet for a place I could get advice on how to fix it. I had heard of Tandy Leather before so when it popped up I decided I would give it a try. The day I went in they were short handed because of a show in Wickenburg and there were several customers in the store. When my turn came up it was like I was the only person in the store. The gentleman who waited on me looked at the belt first to make sure it was worth repairing and then walked me back to the adhesive area and presented me with several options. One of them was a water based product that was like the way leather was glued several decades ago but it would be slightly harder to deal with. After choosing that product he explained to me how to make the repair and why my original idea might not work. After following his instructions I am happy to report many wearings later the belt repair has been a complete success! read more
