Had a great time visiting the store the other day. I definitely will be back. They have several options for what I was looking for. You have to take through a few things to find what you need, but you can always ask for help and finding your items

This place a sewer's paradise! The warehouse is wall to wall of fabric and clothing embellishments. There are fabrics starts at $3.99 per yard. I was able to find unique prints for making dresses and skirts. The back area is dedicated to wedding textiles and decorations. This place can overwhelming but it's a place to save money on fabrics.

    Colors of all kind!

I have visited SAS Fabric Superstore various times over the years. I come here with my wife as I did on this Saturday afternoon. My wife was looking for a specific fabric to replace some covering of our outdoor cushions, and as she began looking for the material, I look around the rest of this huge place. Now I am fully aware SAS has three stores, two in Phoenix and one in Tempe. This store is the closest to us. Some of the fabric is on rolls with the price listed inside the roll or just next to the item. Some fabric is folded on display on their specific aisle. Colors beyond what you can imagine. There is fabric for upholstery, wedding dresses, fleece material and even leather and much more. They have threads of all colors and any kind of needle to make your creation. Depending on the amount of material needed and of course color as well, you can be limited to their stock on hand. Case in point my wife found the colors she wanted and heard a gentleman ask for the same fabric she was planning on purchasing. So after the gentleman bought his amount I went over and asked the lady doing the measuring and cutting about the fabric the gentleman had purchased. The lady asked my wife how much she needed and told my wife she would have to check in the back to see if they had more. Sure enough to my wife's joy they did. So that can be a setback depending on how much fabric you need and how much is available. The employees that work here are actually very helpful and every time we have been here they have always been helpful. My photos are not indicative of how big this store is but you will generally find what you are looking for. So if you are in interested in searching for fabric and want more choices to pick from, try the SAS store.

Love the fabric and leather I found at SAS

Horrible selection. Old and dirty fabrics. $12.99 quilting cotton??!!! Not good brands even. Plus rude service. I would avoid.

Shawn, took the time to show me around and go over some Fabric choices and what exactly they do here, the history. It's good to know they've been in business for over 20 years, and they have over 7,000 rolls of fabric. It's kind of a soup to nut store. You just gotta take a look for yourself and see what your needs are. I'm looking forward to our new business relationship that will also be turning into a friendship! I really do appreciate good people when I find them. I feel this organization is a good trustworthy, a handshake type place. I will update again after my order gets complete. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Epic place for fabric! This business has been around forever here in the valley. With the closure…read moreof so many fabric shops due to the now-defunct JoAnne's, which put them all under, Fabric Depot expanded exponentially with the inclusion of regular fabrics, quilting materials, and bridal fabrics. However, what their core products have always been for over 25 years is providing us with everything you need for inside and outside of your home. Whether it's to recover or make new window awnings, re-cover your furniture on the inside and the outside, recover your boat seats, home decor, tote bags, throw pillows, make bean bag chairs, kids & adult crafts, and anything else you can imagine, even curtains. It is one-stop shopping for unusual fabrics, trim, etc., needed for stage, theater, and Halloween costumes, and the unusual trimmings that go with them. I have used it for exotic fabrics for Christmas and Easter pageants at my church. I also used it to recover the seating on a used boat, and the canvas needed to replace the top sun shade covering over the cab of the boat. Have also bought tough canvas to make a back patio cover. They also sell leather hides. Those are the types of materials you can find here, along with whatever hardware is needed to go with the installation of your do-it-yourself project involving indoor fabric & outdoor material. Bring your finished item back in, pick out the grommets needed to hang it, and as a great convenience, they will stamp those grommets in for you for a nominal price. We are blessed to have this brick-and-mortar store in our city. I just can't get used to this new online way of choosing material from a small 2 x 2 photo. Is my computer screen showing me the true color? What is the true thickness...what the heck is 2mm? I absolutely need to see and feel the material to know if it will work for me. Once it's paid for, cut, and received by you, it is non-returnable. We all know we've lost good money doing shopping this way. Please make the trip and see this store; you will not be disappointed. Please support and keep this valley icon in business.

The bridal shop or designer had sized it incorrectly or the gown was marked wrong and it needed to be let out a little. The trick was the extensive hand beading and intricate detail work throughout the entire bodice. It also had a chapel train made of tulle and I wasn't thrilled with doing a bustle. Judee suggested cutting the train off and making the entire gown one length and that's what we did. I got so many compliments on my gown - how well it fit, how beautiful it is and also everyone actually loved that I didn't have a train - bustling it would not have enhanced the gown in any way and actually would have have detracted from it. I wish I could show how much work Judee needed to do to remove the train and make the gown all one length as well as hemming it to the proper length. This gown must have had a dozen layers! I've included a close up of the gown and then a full length of it on me (p.s. the hem doesn't look even in the photo but that was either the way I was standing or it came up - it was even). I've also been to Judee to have a bridesmaid gown altered as well as many cocktail dresses. She does fabulous work on everything and is so great to work with! Judee is so friendly, easy going and accomodating! I'm not tall, have a short waist and fairly large bust/shoulders so I pretty much have needed alterations my entire life. Judee is by far one of the best I've been to and she is also very reasonably priced for the magic she does. I'm sure if I had had the alterations done at the bridal shop, it would have cost a LOT more!

Since then, Mulqueen has moved to their present location but no longer sells vacuum cleaners. However they do offer parts from a demo vacuum Miele model, which they are willing to sell. I wouldn't have bought it either and appreciate her transparency. While I was there, I browsed through the sections of the store. I discovered embroidery machines, quilting patterns, supplies and a room full of fabrics for sale. I'm sure this will be a source for goods for patrons of Joanne's Fabric and Craft stores. It is sad that Joanne's is closing 800 locations after filing bankruptcy this past January. If I sewed or did any of the above I would be excited to visit here-but I'm not the sewing type. i even find sewing a missing button on clothing a chore! I am happy for those who still have places like this to shop at.
