The Asheville Outlet Mall gets a rating of A-OK from me! It's definitely an interesting place... It's smaller than many of its Tanger and Premium outlet mall competitors. It has a lot of core outlet mall stores - American Eagle, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Carter's, Coach, Cole Haan, Gap, J. Crew, Nike, and Vera Bradley - but also has some more unusual options - Abercrombie, Dillard's, Field & Stream, Restoration Hardware, Vineyard Vines, and West Elm - that I had either never seen or not often seen at other outlet malls. I've been to many outlets. I'd class the ms. As a shopaholic but truth be told I can do my fair share given the right place. Honestly I was not impressed with these outlets at all in comparison to the Simon and tanger ones we have visited. I guess if you're in Asheville and have time to waste check it out, but if your used to SC and GA outlets you'll probably feel let down going to this one . read more

I really only go in about 5 of the stores here, and don't even know what the other stores are.. Parking/getting in/out of this lot is a nightmare. Clean facilities. Not a lot of food choices in the food court. It's a great place to shop on a nice day, Def choose this over a mall on a sunny day. read more

I've seen my share of outlet malls and this one is probably the weirdest experience. There aren't a lot of stores and some of the stores are odd choices. I really like the setup of the outlet and I like that its dog friendly. The stores are really hit or miss. Some of the stores do not have the outlet prices and felt like I was in the mall. The Express Outlet was wonderful though. A lot of good deals in a clean store. The Forever 21 felt like I was in a regular mall. It seemed like half the stores were traditional outlet style with low prices and different styles than the mall with the other half being identical to mall retail shops. I didn't check out the food court but they do have a chocolate store and a beef jerky store. There is also a Starbucks- yay caffeine! Overall, if you are looking for traditional outlet prices and stores- this isn't your place to visit and go crazy. I will say that I enjoyed this outlet more than the local mall. read more

I find it hard to believe that in 2021 this place marketed to tourists and locals alike does not have a nursing room for mothers. We recently went to the outlets in pigeon forge, and they had a lovely room with a lamp, changing area, and rocking chair. All located in a separate area near guest services: Asheville outlets offered me the family restroom and a chair. Come on, would YOU want to eat in a bathroom? If a place is going to cater to families, especially traveling families, they need a nursing station that's NOT where other people poop. read more

Asheville got an outlet mall. It's brand spanking new and has a nice classy feel to it. So far I've been to Restoration Hardware, West Elm, American Eagle and of course, Starbucks. That just scratched the surface - plenty more to explore! Located right off I-26/74 = easy access + tons of parking. Be warned just like all the other outlets you run into, they're not giving anything away. The era of REAL outlet prices is long gone. West Elm did have some pretty good deals though! I was pleasantly surprised to see that there's a Security Officer that consistently patrols the parking lot. If malls are your bag, this is a nice one! read more

I think there's real potential here. We've already been a couple of times, and I can see that this is going to be a shopping hub for a while. My immediate first impression is that it's not as big as I expected it to be. I guess I'm used to the Tanger Malls around the country and Concord Mills near Charlotte. I also probably should have realized how big it was, since I used to shop at the Biltmore Square mall all the time, but I digress. The place is very clean, the selection of shops is good, and the layout is pretty walkable. I'll be interested to see what kind of food options they can attract, as at the moment it's only a pretzel stand and the candy guy (both of which are great, don't get me wrong. Outlet stores are my guilty pleasure. I think there are some inherent issues with them as far as inventory, but that's not specific to the Asheville location. For better or worse, I feel like I'm walking around in Florida when I'm here. Having been very familiar with the Biltmore Square Mall that was previously on this site, it's amazing seeing this area revitalized, and that's probably the best thing the Outlets has accomplished. There is a good variety of stores in the center, with a few still under construction. A lot of major retailers now have options in Asheville whereas before you'd have to travel to the Piedmont or Tennessee to find a brick and mortar location. I think it's yet to be seen how businesses fare here through the long term. There is a lot of excitement on the opening of the Outlets that has brought many, many folks through. I see myself making quarterly visits mainly to check out the newly rotated stock. The food court is yet to be completed as of this writing. read more

Tanger Outlets Asheville - Outlet Stores Near Me - Asheville, North Carolina

I needed to find some comfy work shoes, and I needed it now! My coworker said to go check out the Outlets, so I pulled out my GPS one Tuesday morning and I was on my way! The outlets are very easy to spot- right off of the freeway. I love how there's so much parking! I walked up and accidentally into Dillard's. After getting out of there I got a map to find the shoe stores. This outlet has a very wide variety of stores! Only thing is that some stores don't seem to really have outlet pricing and as someone else had mentioned, maybe more of a regular mall feel. Also, I checked out their food court and it only had maybe 2 restaurants and LOTS of empty space. After searching around, I found my shoes in a Sketchers store. Talk about variety! Sketchers makes everything now! I explored a little more and ended up buying some candles at Bath and Body, and a pretzel from Auntie Anne's as a snack for the trip home. Would definitely go back to do a full lap and take my time looking at all the stores. And hopefully their food court will be finished! read more

When I first came here years ago, it was just a Dillard's outlet center. Now, there is an entire series of high-end shops and they are visible from highway 26. I shopped at GH Bass, Cole Haan and passed by the Lindt store. The shops remind me of Mebane but are not run by Tanger. The food court area has a Starbucks and a Chinese restaurant and a welcome center. Everything was very clean and there was plenty of parking. Dillard's opens at noon on Sundays whereas the rest of the stores open at 11. read more

This outlet mall saved us on two separate occasions. Driving on vacation, I had packed an overnight bag with (I thought) plenty of outfits for my two year old; the rest of her clothes were stuffed in our luggage. And of course, she got both outfits dirty. Thankfully, we found the outlet mall staple: Carter's/Oshkosh. And then on our drive home from vacation, in the midst of an epic meltdown, we stopped at the mall to give our daughter a chance to run around for an hour (and for us to spend plenty more money). This is a nice outlet mall. Good location, easy parking. The staple stores are here with a few bonus places like Le Creuset and West Elm. It's laid out nicely too. Should we ever be in the area again, we'll be sure to stop here. read more

Okay, so this was cool, I was skeptical at first because the old mall was my childhood safe place. I'm not sure destroying an entire building and starting from scratch was the answer, but maybe keeping stores filled (no matter how low the rent was at first, some money is better than none) and keeping CRAP like "Christian karate" the hell out might have been an easier solution. That granted! ...This place is really cool overall. Needless to say there are a couple things that need to be added, a big one being more than one food place that looks meh. Not sure why the chickfila wasn't there anymore? I felt as though that was one of the biggest stores making money there. Not that it's a huge issue, with tacobell within 30 steps of the mall, it's a no brainer for now where to go lol In any case, the only big problem I can see is that nobody wants to drop when the weather becomes extreme, and to add to that, outside venders are gonna have issues with weather. Example: oh you want a massage? alright! -5 minutes in- ohhh it's raining, well now how am I going to pay for a partial massage? weird right? All in all, it seems as though life has been breathed into this place, for how long? I can't say. Start raising rent costs or opening places that practice specific religious undertones on oriental forms of combat, and we wont see much longevity from this place. Also, if things do go south, please reframe from turning the parking lot into a car dealership? That was literally the most tacky thing I've ever seen, ever. A nice little outlet store grouping, much better than many you find along the interstate and at least from my perspective some true outlet pricing, especially at the Dillard's store. Guys, if you want out of here early don't let the ladies into that Dillard's, they will be there for hours! As for others, the Under Armor and Mew Balance stores are okay, a few deals. This outlet is fabulous if you love Vineyard Vines. There aren't many Vineyard Vines outlets so we made sure to stop will passing through and stocked up on school clothes! The typical $65.00 polo was a mere $20 something! We would definitely stop again. The associates were all very friendly. We also stopped at Brooks Brothers just to check it out and ended up walking out with two suits. This was a great stop while passing through. There are not a lot of food options in the particular shopping center but we weren't there to eat. read more

This is one of our favorite shops in Asheville and it's a must-visit when we are in town. Our shopping experience here was great. Gracious, Southern hospitality at its finest. Caitlyn and the rest of the sales staff is very helpful and will answer any questions you have about the items. They will also give you space to browse if you prefer to look around on your own. I'm accustomed to the Tanger outlets which truly offers outlet pricing. We visited a vast majority of the stores to find out that they were not priced to move, which was a huge disappointment. The Vera Bradley store, however, did offer 50% off everything and an additional 20% on top of that which was phenomenal! read more

A nice addition to the Asheville area. I was able to let my wife hang out at Restoration Station or whatever that place was called and kept her busy and just walked around and it was super nice. I did a little Pokémon Go and wasted a little time and was actually able to find a good deal on some jeans while she did not spend too much. A win win as they say. Yes, outlet mall is kind of a used up oxy-moron nowadays but really this place was still superclean and there was live music in like 3 different areas which is not the norm at these type places. Outlets...a female's fuel. Nothing to complain about there. Some are open, and some are not as of yet, so check it out first via phone or web to avoid disappointment. Speaking of disappointment, let's move on to the food "court". Upon entering, I had full expectations that my hunger would be abated by a fast food chain. This was not so. Alas, the food court is more like...shall we say...a food "desert". It was so quiet I could hear an unfilled, newly purchased "Vera Bradley" bag drop. When I turned to the left, I saw a buffet of candy. When I turned to the right, I saw Chinese food. When I went straight ahead, I saw a small nacho stand. That's it- gummy worms, Chinese, or nachos. I was stunned. My guess- rent is high, or they want to see how food businesses do, what with several already established fast food chains adjacent to these outlets. My husband pointed out that the giant food court photo of the women having coffee against a stylish brick wall was not a reality for us. Thanks, sweetie. I am also aware that my fried rice was "Minute Rice" with little flair. And that having to get up for extra napkins is a tad wearisome. Anyway, the food court is big, modern, and very clean. It feels like Ikea. The trash cans feel Japanese, and I like that. There is an ATM, customer service, bathrooms, a snack machine, outside tables, and kiddie rides in this area. Moral: Go for the goods with a full stomach. Update on 9/11/16: The nachos and candy is gone, but a Starbucks has landed. It is right off of the food court. Just look for the tables with umbrellas. Yes, umbrellas. If you have Triple A, remember to show your card to get a further discount. read more

I stopped in just for lunch only to find the food court had an overpriced Asian place. No better than any other run of the mill Asian food court place. Other than that, you can buy a lot of candy. Hopefully some other choices, but I have to say I'm a little concerned given how long the outlets have been open... read more

The Dillards Clearance Center has amazing deals. Gap, Banana Republic and Lucky's stores are also pretty awesome. Plenty of parking. Not too big but has a good amount of stores and super clean. I particularly like the Jerky store for a huge variety of jerky. Right off of the highway so it's easy to hop in and out. Overall, a good little outlet! read more

Pretty much exactly the same stores as the mall- with a few exceptions like West Elm and Coach. Some stores aren't even outlets, which is annoying. My fella finds things at the Gap, J Crew, and Banana Republic, but I rarely leave with anything. Wish they built the premium outlets that have Saks on Fifth and more higher end stores so I could find special occasion clothes at good prices. However, it's still a vast improvement over the old Biltmore Square Mall and it created some life off of exit 33 again. read more

These our your typical outlets. My husband and I love to go to outlets and this definitely a nice one to visit. It has a good variety of stores we liked and some that we don't have in Florida which is always a plus. The parking is ample and it was not packed of people. The only downside is that there wasn't really any good sale when we went but that could have been a seasonal thing. read more

I really like shopping here especially since I've got two children. I frequent Carters/Osh Kosh and Children's Place. It's very nicely done with rock and water fountains, always very clean. Glad they put a Starbucks in too! My only complaint is they definitely need more of a food court/food options. Plenty of parking. read more

This outlet mall was near our hotel, so we dropped by while out to dinner. It was a nice atmosphere and definitely clean which was great. The stores are pretty much your typical outlet stores, although they did have a few stores that seemed to stand out, like West Elm and Restoration Hardware. They had a Vineyard Vines which had some awesome deals the weekend we visited. The New Balance store actually had shoes in a narrow width, which are super hard to find in store, so that was a plus. Unfortunately the Dillards was closed when we visited. Not sure how they operate, but their sign indicated that they would not be open until Monday (we visited on a Friday evening). They could also use a few more what I'm going to call higher-end outlets just to make sure their is something for everyone. Overall, I will say it is a great place to shop. read more

BEWARE! I made the huge mistake of signing up for a West Elm credit card to get some savings on a large purchase was DOUBLE CHARGED - to the tune of nearly $1,500 in error at the West Elm Outlet store in Asheville. This happened in July 2015, it's January 2016 and I am STILL trying to get the issue resolved. I am horrified by the incompetence at the store. The West Elm card folks acknowledge the obvious error, but they can't get the store to provide whatever authorization necessary to reverse the charges. Unbelievable. read more
