The bread, meat, bacon, well, the whole sandwich was perfect! I'm normally not into sandwiches but this was really good! The gouda pepper soup for $.99 more was perfection with the sandwich. Kind of like a tomato soup with cheese melted inside. Met the owner, Justin, he came out and made sure everything was okay and introduced himself. Super friendly! Odd place. Very sterile with lots of stainless steel and granite. The lighting is off putting, an odd cold tone. Seems like at 10:00 you could just hose the whole place out. That said all of our food was good. They have an interesting mix of sandwiches and wraps. The four of us enjoyed what we ate. We did not enjoy eating it there. read more

We were headed back to Salt Lake City from a few days in Moab and Price was a great halfway point to stop for lunch. Boy was I happy to find this affordable healthy option! Huge space with tons of seating, very friendly service, many menu options (with vegetarian choices), and delicious food! Their dishes consist of burritos, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and soups. Soups are just $1 if you add it to your entree! They also have many self serve frozen yogurt options! Yum. I had the veggie pesto wrap, which was super yummy and flavorful. It comes with chips and we also got their Chile verde soup for the added $1 which was excellent. It comes with cheese and sour cream. Most of the restaurants in Price are fast food so finding Tangerine Eatery was a surprise. We were on our way to Hanksville for a weekend of canyoneering and stopped here for dinner. The first thing I noticed was the lighting inside Tangerine Eatery is HORRIBLE! It is very dark inside and the color temperature of the lights was blue and awful. The restaurant would be GREATLY improved with better lighting. It was really that bad. Regarding the food, I ordered the The Cubano sandwich and the a half-size Southwest 6 Shooter Salad. The Cubano included pulled pork and ham with a garlic aioli and Utah Beehive cheese. The sandwich itself was pretty good but the pork wasn't prepared fresh and it's something they bring in and don't make themselves. The Southwest 6 Shooter Salad had grilled chicken, crispy SuperGreens, black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, tortilla strips and their chipotle ranch dressing. The salad was OK but some of the ingredients didn't seem fresh and I didn't like the chicken. Overall, Tangerine Eatery was OK. It was more satisfying and healthier then an Arby's roast beef sandwich, but has some room for improvement. read more

If I were only reviewing the food I would give them 5 stars. However, in the midst of a global pandemic the staff did not wear masks and they did not require it of people coming in the restaurant. So, there goes one star. I had the Avocado Chicken Bacon Wrap and 1/2 of a Very Berry Granola Salad. They were both delightful surprises: fresh vegetables and fruit, lovely salad dressing, wrap full of flavor and larger than I thought it would be. I was not able to finish it. My husband had the Greek Salad: fresh and had lots of kalamata olives which he loves, lightly seasoned. The Cubano Sandwich was tasty, the bread was freshly baked, and he expressed it as, all around a nice surprise. The restaurant was very clean, the tables well spaced so generally there was a sense of proper social distancing. There was plenty of off street parking. read more

I just left this place after stopping in on my way through Price. The outside and inside of this place is nice and well kept. That's what the 1 star is for. I got the turkey bacon cranberry sandwich. The sandwich was ok- not anything better than what I could make myself at home. My hubby got the ham, cheese with bacon. He said the sandwich would have been decent if the ham was actually warm. Like a grilled cheese should be. The biggest reason why I'm giving this place a review at all is because I was disgusted to watch one of the girls putting her hands in the chip bags with NO gloves on and putting the chips on customers plates. After he took our orders, we conversed about hair and helped the time pass as we waited for our food! The food was DELICIOUS. My Malibu Chicken Sandwich was juicy and steamy. If I squeezed it, it would drip from its savory flavor. It was served with chips and a complimentary cup of fruit by the nice server! The traditional breakfast was delicious as well. The eggs and meat were nicely seasoned. The server brought Tabasco out with our orders, which was perfect because I eat hot sauce with everything and normally I have to ask for hot sauce, but instead I didn't have to ask! Overall, the people were nice, the food was delicious, and the location was convenient. Turns out one of the best cubanos in America is located in Price, UT, at Tangerine Eatery. We swung through Price looking for a quick snack on our drive down to Moab. Tangerine Eatery, with its bright orange signage, caught our eye. The interior was clean, spacious, and modern, and the guy behind the counter was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome immediately. I asked him what Beehive cheese was like, and he grabbed a sample from the kitchen for us to try. (It was creamy and mild, eons above supermarket sliced cheese.) We ordered a cubano and a few cups of soup, all of which were excellent, the cubano in particular. The meat was smoky and tender, the bread was so crisp on the outside, it tasted like it had been fried, yet the interior was still nice as soft. I've eaten cubanos from Boston down to Miami, from Chicago, and in California, and can confidently say it was one of the best renditions I've had. I got some kind of chicken chili soup and another member of my party had the clam chowder - both were delicious and full of good ingredients. The place was pretty empty since we stopped in at an odd hour on a rainy afternoon - I do hope that people are coming here to eat, because if not, they're missing out! read more

It's a nice, clean, and modern restaurant. They have sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps, and froyo with a overall "health" theme. We ordered two chicken, bacon, avocado sandwiches and a red pepper Gouda and broccoli cheddar soup. The sandwich was surprising at first because it had a whole chicken breast instead of deli chicken or slices. The first few bites were delicious and had just the right ratio of pesto and greens compared to the chicken. However, after a while the chicken became too much and every bite felt like 90% chicken. I would much prefer if they sliced the chicken or increased the toppings to counteract all that chicken. The soups were very good and completely worth the 99c upgrade. The sandwich came with these weird healthy chips. Overall, I don't think the price of the whole meal justified what we got but I will say that it is probably the best option in this town for someone not wanting fast food. read more

The Good- The staff here are very friendly and the sandwiches we had were good. We ordered the italian and the chicken bacon avacado and both were tasty with a good amount of meat and toppings. The interior has a fresh modern look and an open view of the kitchen. They have a nice variety of options including breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos. We also tried the tomato gouda soup and clam chowder and both were good. The Bad- I get the impression that they are trying to be a little like Zupas and for a small town with not a lot of good options for restaurants they did okay. However, this is a home grown restaurant in a small town but they are charging higher than Zupas prices. Our sandwiches were $10 each and the only option for a side, other than paying extra, was veggie straws. Yes, the dry and nasty, grab a handful and throw them next to my $10 sandwich veggie straws. The same nasty stuff those mean moms at church bring as a snack for their toddlers. Come on people! You can pay 99 cents and get a small cup of soup as a side which still puts it over a dollar more than a Zupas sandwich with a side soup. The salads they had sounded good but we didn't try them and they are also $10 which is about $1.50 more than Zupas salads. It's definitely not a cheap place to eat but the food is good and the staff very friendly. If I got a choice of sides for my$10 I would possibly be a little pleased. They even put a restroom upstairs instead of having to go downstairs to the bar like the old place was. I would probably give it 3.5 stars if there was such a thing on Yelp but the high than big city prices keeps me from giving it a four star so it gets a 3. read more
