Please go to any other salon. There is no reason politics should be discussed loudly in any public space. Especially if it is hateful, and they are. I have heard slurs, and very very racist comments said very loudly in the salon by the people who work there. Things that should never even be said. The owner only makes excuses for this behavior. I'm so sad to leave one star; however, I was so disappointed from my hair color and cut from my appointment last week. I even had a photo of what I wanted and was told "sure thing". I have short hair anyway but wanted a more structured look. After spending $305 I left so disappointed. I recently brought two teens in for haircuts. They each had different stylists and both of them were very happy with the end results. The atmosphere is very comfortable and everyone there was friendly, chatted with the girls, complimented them, and made us feel very welcome. Both were asked what they wanted to be done, and after showing pictures of the styles they selected they were asked what was about those styles that they liked. I was impressed. I could see they wanted to make sure they understood exactly what they wanted and why. We have already made follow up maintenance appointments. read more

Had a wonderful experience here! Was a walk in for a Wednesday, and wanted an ashy blonde balayage, and the receptionist/counter lady got me scheduled then and there for two hours later. A cut and color balayage immediately booked for that day is usually once in a blue moon kinda deal, but they worked me in. I was greeted by Jade(sweetest woman you'll meet) and she did a beautiful job on my locks. She didn't burn the ends out like most salons do(but I must admit I was a darker blonde to begin with so it was only a few shades she had to lighten) regardless, the outcome was perfect and I'm beyond pleased with the final results. I recommend jade! She's been in the hair business for several years and is very educated in her work. Will be going back for touch ups when needed! read more

I called for a appointment and so very lucky they fit me in same day. I had my hair cut the day before at a different salon, and the stylist, if you can call her that did a chop block on my hair. I had a Brazilian blowout done. It was 250.00 barely lasted 3 weeks. I notified them, had a second one done (no charge). However it wasn't any better. I realize the product is expensive although I do not believe you can skimp when putting it on. I will not have another one done there. read more

I've been here about once a year for the past three years and I can honestly say every time has been a good experience. I came in this past Friday, after requesting a last minute appointment, and they nicely fit me in. Melissa Stone gave me a lob cut and I love it! She was also super sweet and friendly. AWFUL. I got a deep conditioning treatment by Cristy and my hair turned out 10 times worse than what I came in for. She had me order a pizza she told me she would pay half for and then never paid me. I was in such a rush and she was super rough with my hair, she would complain every single time I had a knot in my hair. I paid 150$ for the treatment and cut but never got the cut. I called the next day for my money back, the receptionist told me that she would have cristy call me but cristy never called me. Worst salon experience and I will never be returning. Kymberli is an absolute professional. I've been waiting years to review a place when I finally got the cut I wanted. She understood exactly what I was going for, and executed it brilliantly. I am so happy! I'm bewildered by the content of the two negative reviews. I find it hard to believe those people actually had that terrible of an experience worthy of 1 star. I came here not too long ago after I had made an appointment and when I arrived my stylist was pulled to the side and fired in front of me. It was not even communicated to me by the owner but rather my stylist who was on the verge of tears. It was very unprofessional of the owner and left me waiting and confused for about 30 minutes. I gave up on getting my hair done after never being helped and decided this place is too unprofessional and tacky anyways. I've also heard multiple stories from friends that have been here and have equal horror stories. Many of them got something completely different then what they asked for due to the owner hiring not very good stylists. Do not expect much if you decide to come here. read more

Hello, i'm giving Tangles a 4 star because I went here my junior year of high school and the person who did my hair literally chopped all of it off, when I just wanted a trim to my shoulders. I had an A LINE BOB. I was so depressed and felt ugly for months after this happened. I recently went back to try another hair style/ color, and it went wonderfully. The person who did my hair is Sara Taylor. I highly recommend going to her because she understood what I wanted and really listened to me. Having been new to the area I decided to wing it and choose tangles. Good salon atmosphere, bad stylist. I went there about 7 months befoer my wedding to get a trim and a color, to my shock the stylist cut off 3 inches off my shoulder length hair. I was very angry and it ruined my hair for my wedding. The color was good but I would never go back to that stylist. I found a better place in OKC, a little bit more money but they are miles above Tangles! read more

Scheduled a haircut not realizing they don't dry or style it unless you specify that when scheduling?! Really?!!!??? Will NEVER go back.

The stylist was decent enough, she asked if I wanted my hair washed, and I said yes. And then she cut it, and asked if I wanted it to be dried. I thought that was odd because not only was it 20 degrees when I got my haircut back in January, but I wouldn't want to walk out of a salon with wet hair and not get to see the haircut styled. Apparently it costs extra. I've never experienced that before. I wouldn't go back or recommend them to anyone. Maybe for children. read more

I went in for an appt. recently for shampoo & blowdry. A few days BEFORE my appt. I viewed their website to see their pricing. Their website price with a (Stylist) was $20.00. To be absolute sure about the pricing, in addition to viewing their prices on their website, I called the salon and asked about the pricing on their shampoo & blowdry and was told the same exact price that I saw on their website - $20.00 with a Stylist, but that the price would go up if I made appt. with a Master Designer, Senior Master Designer, etc. After clearly verifying the $20.00 price for shampoo & blowdry with a Stylist, I then made an appt. with one of their Stylist"s for a shampoo & blowdry. So then, after all my inquiring about pricing BEFOREHAND, this is what happened on the day of my appt., I came in for my scheduled appt. and after the Stylist was done with my shampoo & blowdry, I was charged $30.00 (NOT the $20.00!!!)!!!!! I asked why the charge was $30.00 and NOT the stated $20.00 and they said, well... the shampoo & blowout was $20.00 but the products used in your hair was an ADDITIONAL $10.00!!!!!! WHAT???? In ALL the years that I've gone to hair salons, NEVER have I EVER been charged an ADDITIONAL price for the products that the stylists used in my hair!!!!!! I've lived in 5 different cities over the years and have visited many different hair salons in my lifetime and I have NEVER EVER been charged an EXTRA fee for products that they use in your hair!!!!!!! Tangles, this is definately MISREPRESENTATION!!!!!! Shame on you!!!!!! I will never step foot in Tangles again and will share this important information with anyone and everyone!!!!!! The first time I went here I had a pretty good experience. I got 15 inches cut off by Lindy. I was happy with how it looked, even though when I got home I noticed a small chunk of hair near my jaw was uneven. Oh well, it hardly showed so I didn't really mind. I went back for a trim two days ago, and requested Lindy again. She trimmed my hair and I went on my way. When I got home, I realized that one side was over an inch longer than the other. In addition, it was very choppy and I had some strings of hair that were just hanging down. I looked utterly lopsided. I went in the next day and said I needed it fixed. They saw me right away, but the woman who fixed it STILL left it longer on one side. Now, I've lost the slight A-Line style I liked, and it's way shorter than I wanted. The worst part is I will need to have even more taken off to get it evened out. I'm not happy. I paid $40 plus a tip for this? I'll be requesting my money back and never returning--I can get a crappy hair cut at Super Cuts for a lot less. read more

I really like Nancy, my haridresser, but the salon is strange. They do not routinely wash and style you hair when you get a haircut, they charge you seperately! I have never been to any other salon that does that. I do think that if you are getting your hair cut you need to start with clean hair, and if they dont style it while you are there how do you know if there might be a problem?? ?Also, they will not let you include a tip if you are paying with a credit or debit card, you have to have cash on hand to tip which is inconvenient for me as I seldom carry any cash. I do like Nancy but am looking for another salon that is a little more customer friendly. read more

I've been to Tangles twice. It is conveniently located so I tried it more than once. The atmosphere, staff, and stylists were awful both times; arrogant and unfriendly. The cut for my 4 year old son was ok. The cut and color for myself was ok. When are these stylist going to learn they are selling themselves, not just their skills.
