Went in for a blow out and I came out with a ball of frizz on my head. Was also charged $35 extra for something I was never asked about. but to use it on me and never advise it's $35 is shady. But all around I paid $95 plus tip for nothing I was going to dinner afterwards and was so embarrassed by my hair I put it up in a ponytail. This was supposed to last 3-5 days. I LOVE Lush! My first visit here was to get my hair done for my friends wedding a couple years ago - I was immediately hooked after that. I've gone every now and then when I want to treat myself or for a date with my Mom! They also use the best hair product line (Oribe) it smells amazing! Not to mention the prices at Lush are so reasonable compared to other blow dry bars in the city! I got married this last August and booked for my entire wedding party, and both mothers, to have our hair done by the Lush team! After a little mishap with the manager just up and leaving one day - they worked quickly to get everything resolved. They made getting my hair done for my wedding so much fun. Beautiful salon and awesome blow out experience! Aubrey greeted me immediately and offered me a drink to enjoy during my services (they have wine, sodas, water). My shampoo was wonderful - she said she always washes at least twice and it was delightful - plenty of scrubbing and massaging. Seemed like she also conditioned twice. She gave me a great blow out with the big round brush and then added loose curls wIth the straightening iron. The entire process from start to finish was under an hour, and was very efficient. I enjoyed chatting with Aubrey, the other stylist, and other customers - it was a fun, warm environment. I will mention the salon was just a little tough to find for my very first visit - the gps took us to the casady shopping plaza BUT the salon is on the far end by the corner, next to Naifeh Jeweler. Give yourself an extra minute to find the salon if it is your first time. They also offer pedicures and many other services. I can't wait to come back. read more

Shout out to Casey for giving the best pedicure I've ever had. My feet felt so smooth and clean afterward. The water was warm and the set up was comfortable. I didn't feel any pain or discomfort. At one point I felt a little ticklish, so she stopped and helped me relax, letting go of some tension. The lemongrass lotion smelled amazing and the calf/foot massage felt great. Perfect amount of pressure. I've already recommended this place to co-workers and friends. The world is crazy right now, so it was nice to escape and rejuvenate. On Thursday, I made an appointment over the phone for a blow out on Sunday and received a text confirmation soon after. My credit card was also required to schedule, in case I no-showed and they could charge a no-show fee. I was there on time, checked in with one of the stylists and seated. 15 minutes into my appointment I was in the front of the salon, alone, and the stylist who checked me in was in the back with a client. They came out, I was offered a beverage, but nothing about where my stylist was. I asked 25 minutes into my appointment and the stylist called someone on the phone. She then blamed their computers or scheduling software, and told me the stylist would be another 25 minutes. I left. I understand human error, people forget, sleep in, have other responsibilities, whatever. But how long was I going to sit there, alone, without getting any work done, before the stylist who was there, who checked me in and acknowledged my appointment time, working on her client right next to me, realized my stylist wasn't there??? She also continuously called me "Hun", which is so condescending, she couldn't have been older than I. Duncan Brothers got me in immediately and did a beautiful job. read more

Courtney was amazing and handled it with ease. she asked me what I wanted and did exactly that. lots of volume and she didn't even need a curling iron to leave me with pretty waves that have already lasted 24 hours. she's great with the round brush! While my appointment was still pending, I was scrambling to try to cancel in time so they wouldn't charge me. Meanwhile, I was scrambling, someone was able to accept my appointment. I finally got a hold of someone and they told me the manager would call me...they never did. Let me start by saying I am addicted to blow dry bars! Anytime I was in Dallas, I made it a point to visit DryBar and my girlfriends and I were always discussing the need for one in OKC. Enter Lush. This adorable little shop is quaint, their products (Oribe) are uh-mazing and the stylists are super talented. I have visited all the other blow dry shops in town and this is my favorite! I think it must be because of the products and the "quaintness". My hair looks fab everytime I leave and more importantly, I feel fab! Oh, did I mention the wine. My idea of heaven! My only negatives: it is small so it isn't conducive to large groups going together. Also, the $35 service fee is the same as what larger cities charge which seems a little steep to me....but still worth it! read more

I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to LUSH. Honestly, the staff is so talented, friendly and understanding. About a week ago my 3 family members and myself had a HAIR emergency and one of the most traumatic experiences at a local OKC hair business called BLO just around the corner from Lush. We walked into BLO prepared to get 4 blow outs for my cousins engagement party consisting of 500 guests who were waiting for us in about 2 hours. This appointment was made 2 weeks prior, and my cousin had been in constant contact with Blo, regarding her makeup, her hair, everything to make sure on the day of the appointment it would go smoothly. We were 13 minutes late to our appointment and they denied us service. They have a 15 minute late policy. That they never mentioned on the phone with my cousin anytime during the past two weeks of her calling in and making arrangements for the appointment. The bride to be was to have her hair & makeup done, and the other 3 (including myself) wash & blow-outs. It was absurd. We spoke to the manager, she told us there was NOTHING she could do, and we were "Free to Leave". I have never, NEVER, in my life felt more offended by any business in my life. We live in New York City, go to blow out bars ALL the time, some of my favorites are DryBar and DreamDry, we understand that quality of the service is what is important however this was a literal emergency. I have seen girls running into their appointments 30 min late because their cab was stuck in traffic in Midtown and they had to get their hair done for a business meeting, consisting of themselves and their boss. They would still be taken in and worked on! When it comes to a business especially one that you're trying to work on a time crunch involving HAIR, 45 min per customer just might cut it especially with girls with longer and thicker hair. So the reasoning behind denying us service was - "we only have 45 min to wash AND blow your hair." Guaranteed with the kind of hair us 4 had, even if we were on Time there would be no way the stylists would have finished in 45 Minutes. We were completely new to the state, there just for the weekend, we knew nobody and had no resources to help us. It's a quite disgusting way to run a business and I highly recommend not using the services of this salon, unless run under better management. No offense to any of the stylists, except the girl at the front desk. After spending close to another 15 minutes arguing with the front desk and the store manager, the bride to be planted her butt in a seat and demanded her hair and makeup to be done, the other 3 drove 2 min down the road to LUSH hair salon! By some miracle, they had one no show at 9:30 and 2 of the other stylists had finished up their girls in a timely fashion and squeezed the other two in! Now that's how to run a business. Flexibility and understanding how to be compassionate towards the customer. From the bottom of our hearts we want to say thank you SOOOOO much and everyone at the engagement was RAVING about our hair and we are SOOOO appreciative of the souther hospitality you were able to show us. Finding it can be a bit tricky - Shop is located just around the corner of Spencer Stone (same building) - Once you round the corner, you'll see a cute lil patio set in front of a teal door and you'll know you're there. Their website makes scheduling an appt. super easy and the gal I got had mad round brush skills! Like seriously - I explained I wanted fuller beach-wave curls and without a curling iron, just using round brushes and a hair dryer, she had my locks looking stunning for my anniversary dinner. They usually charge $35 but you can buy a package that makes the blow out only $30, Also sometimes they offer specials for only $25 for a blow out. I went there yesterday for the first time. I wasn't impressed and did not have a similar experience to others on yelp. I asked to have my hair blown straight since I had heard good things about a blo dry bar instead of the normal hair dryer and straightening iron.The girl asked me if i wanted volume on top and of course i said yes. When she showed me my hair initially it had volume on top with a curl throughout and i looked like a 50s house wife. When i expressed my disappointment, she used a straightening iron to straighten the rest of the hair. I'm not sure what the use of a blo dry bar is if they are using a straightening iron. No drinks were offered during my visit. I was there less than 40 minutes for wash, blo dry, and straightening iron. read more

This place is so GREAT!!! I loved it so much I went twice in one week! It was so easy to make an appointment and when I got there it was really cute inside and I was immediately offered something to drink, I of course took them up on the yummy mimosa, (don't judge me) and settled in for a fantastic hair wash complete with a head massage that made me wish I could go daily! After that I had a wonderful blow dry that made my hair look and smell amazing thanks to the wonderful Oribé products they use and sell. I went for some messy beachy waves and was not disapointed! My hair is naturally frizzy and wavy but not in a good way and it looked good for two days and on the third day it was top knot perfect! I recently moved from OKC to LA and I will go back to this place over and over when I am in town! So glad that Oklahoma City FINALLY has a place that offers this service....it's a fun experience that would make any girl feel fabulous!
