Came here to work since I was working from home! It's very close to where i live so it's super convenient for me. I've been a couple times and honestly I really like this spot. It's never super busy. It's a wine based bar and coffee shop and they have a decent food menu. They also have events going on like dance lessons or workout classes or trivia, which i want to try soon. I ordered the dulce de leche iced latte. The Carmel is from Argentina and they line the cup and it melts in with the espresso and gives it a sweet flavor but it's not too sweet. I think this is my favorite coffee order honestly. The service is so great here, the baristas are so sweet and helpful on getting you want you want and making sure you like your drink which is great for me because I'm a little picky when it comes to coffee! read more

It was such a pretty morning-I wasn't ready to go home-and wanted to try something new. A quick read through my saved places on Yelp-and bingo! Here we are. I snagged a parking spot along the street and strolled in. By day, this is a buzzy place for coffee, refreshers, tea and eats. I could have gone with my go to chai tea latte. But I was winging it. I asked the warm and helpful barista for help in choosing something different. She suggested mango black tea (iced). Zing! Bring on the different! This was a flavor vacation. It tasted like the morning felt: bright, light and sort of tingly. I'm so glad I took the good advice! I should have stayed and sipped. The dining space was warm and inviting, with light streaming through the many windows. There were a few tables and lots of bar seating inside, with patio seating on two sides. It was quiet and peaceful in there--with one other person, working on a laptop. I'll go back and sit-study the menu-make a morning of it. And I'll also go back at night. I'll bet it's a totally different vibe, later in the day... sort of fizzy and sophisticated. I'll grab the friends, check it out and report back. The atmosphere here is welcoming and bright with a partially open side walk up door. Plenty of bar seats abs 2 Tv's to watch sports and they are hosting every World Cup game this 2026 season. Tango Brew is a mixed purpose bar that serves up coffee, wine, gelato, and small bites near the University of Tampa. We went in just expecting your typical coffee shop experience, but it seems their bar business is their wheelhouse, as most people were socializing and having alcoholic beverages. Service was friendly, but caffeinated drinks with any sort of flavor were on the expensive side, as large iced latte with flavor was over $10. They didn't have any visible menu prices for their caffeinated beverages, and the girl working there even made a comment about how she doesn't set the prices, which came off as a little awkward. Regardless, the iced latte (3/5) I had was average at best. It may be an ok local option for those living in the adjacent residential complex, but underwhelming and overpriced makes Tango Brew the kind of place I wouldn't return to or recommend to others looking for coffee in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Tampa. read more

This review is for delivery. I ordered on GrubHub, and the food was delivered at the correct time. I ordered: a beef empanada, medialuna, crispy vegetables, and cold brew. The food was reasonably well packaged (all paper bagged except the drink and the veggies, which were in a closed plastic container). The empanada was fine. Nothing fantastic, and I wish that the dipping sauce was included rather than extra. Or that hot sauce was an option. The cold brew was fine. The medialuna was fantastic. I did not opt for the dulce de leche drizzle, and it was sweet enough as it was. Very light and airy. Great with the coffee. The crispy vegetables were vegetables, but they were crispy. Also, because they were likely packaged in the plastic while hot, they absorbed a plasticky, carcinogenic flavor. I tried a couple and decided that it wasn't worth the calories or cancer risk. From what I could tell, they were also underseasoned. So do not order the crispy vegetables unless you are eating in! I think I'd like to go in person to drink wine (or coffee) and get fresh food. I pass this spot often and finally had time to visit, on a Saturday morning at first opening. The ambiance is very art deco and cozy for coffee or drinks. My barista was very nice and offered great suggestions. I tried the boba tea. What I enjoyed is that I was able to make changes to my flavors and I added the hibiscus flavor. Terrible experience. Waitress clearly didn't get my friend's order in and tried to act like they were having kitchen / oven issues for making fries and wings. Wings came out lukewarm like off a heating tray. Food was meh, good space, but they didn't even offer to take the wings and / or fries off for my friend after the terrible service. The website advertises curbside pickup and even asks for details to identify your car. I waited outside for a while, but no one ever came out. I tried calling the phone number multiple times, but it didn't work. When I finally went inside, an employee told me they don't offer curbside pickup at all--and that they don't have a working phone for customers to call. Had I known this, I would have chosen a different place. The food was very mediocre. I paid $20 for two burned empanadas and fries that tasted overwhelmingly greasy--I ended up throwing the fries away. The one positive was the waitress, who was genuinely apologetic. Because of her, I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1. I'd recommend coming here only for drinks, since the location is nice. The food might be better after a few beers. read more

Recently opened. The medialunas were cooked to perfection and the dulce de leche was authentic. The coffee was delicious and it's fun to have a dulce de leche late. The ambience is also very nice. It's open and friendly. The service deserves grace because they are a new business but there are things to improve... overall, I will come back once they have been open for a little longer. read more

LOVEEEE THIS PLACE! Such a fun, easy going, Tampa spot. From coffee to Mimosas, this place is it. It seriously needs more recognition! The staff is amazing and super friendly/helpful. They have a HUGE list of wine and beer. I sat for a while with my coffee, and ended my stay with a mimosas. So versatile and love the bar set up. I never leave reviews unless I really feel inclined to do so. As someone that lives in North Hyde Park I was really excited to see this place coming to the neighborhood but unfortunately I have tried it twice and each experience was worse than the last. First time my girlfriend and I went for breakfast and we were served COLD Jimmy dean breakfast sandwhiches after we waited 20 minutes... we gave it the benefit of the doubt due to it being new... Second visit, again, food took a really long time... There was 10 people including myself that were there total and somehow things still came out wrong and cold... Also not to mention that all of the glass wear was dirty as well. I'd like to give it a 3rd try but unfortunately I think it'll just be as disappointing as the previous visits. If you're just looking to drink, I think it's a great local spot with a good atmosphere but, for some reason the service is incredibly slow. I can't imagine what the service would be like if it was crowded. I really do hope that you guys improve! I'd be a recurring customer if you do! read more

Let's give these guys a chance to work out the kinks. Yes, they definitely need to improve the food and the logistics of the service. But it is a great space with friendly and helpful people working there. I have been 4 times since they soft opened and it is improving steadily. I think they will get the hang of the point of sale system. The food is very cheap and you get what you pay for. My advice is to raise the prices and focus on quality by bringing it in from outside bakeries until the kitchen is sorted out. Good Luck! read more
