I have only recently visited Tangs Pacific Bistro in person. My family moved to the Keller area just before the lock down, so it's only recently that I've been able to visit in person. When I walked in I was immediately transported into an environment that in a word can only be described as HAPPY. People were merrily chatting with the man behind the bar, the conversation seemed fun snd cheery. The rest of the staff were friendly, and smiles could be perceived even behind their masks. But I'm sure you are wondering more about the food, and as someone that loves Asian cuisine, Tangs is my go to place. Our family has ordered from various Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese restaurants in our community, none of them being 'bad' but also none of them topping our fondness of Tangs. The freshness is what keeps us coming back. The food always looks and tastes as if they just went to the farmers market to purchase the vegetables, and the protein options are always tender and well seasoned. We recommend Chicken and Broccoli, Hot & Sour Soup, Crab Rangoon, egg rolls, and all the Szechuan dishes are my sons favorite. Spicy but not murdery is how he puts it lol. You should really try them if your on the fence, they totally raise the bar and meet you at your expectations, OH, and if you dine in, or pick up in store, you can get enrolled in a program that sends you discounts on future purchases. After attending a campaign fundraiser at Cafe Republic, I decided to give Tang's a try. Started my meal with a cup of miso soup, followed with shrimp tempura and finished with the pork in hot garlic sauce. The soup was bland until I added pepper and soy sauce. Even then it was only average. The batter on the tempura was not crispy and the shrimp was tasteless and mushy, so I sent it back. The entree, while tasty with nice heat was 90 percent vegetables, so I sent that back as well. Ambiance and service was good but not enough for me to give more than a two star review. I do not recommend and would not return. read more

Let me start by saying I'm from a major city that has its own Chinatown. My expectations ordering Chinese food in the Metroplex was not very high to begin with. I saw a few reviews that had me a little excited to try this place. I ordered through a delivery service which should really make no difference. The quality should be the same regardless. I ordered broccoli and beef, shrimp lo mein, orange chicken, and lemon chicken. I knew I had a problem as soon as I saw what they call lemon chicken. I'm not sure what's up with these places that serve breaded chicken patties with lemon sauce on the side. That is not lemon chicken. I'm not really sure what that is other than disappointing and tasteless. Most authentic Chinese restaurants do not serve breaded chicken they serve the same cut of chicken that's in sweet and sour or orange chicken and it's already in the sauce they don't keep it separate. Also the lemon sauce didn't even taste like lemon and it look like some type of gelatin creation. The orange chicken seem to have a mixture of what seemed to be old and new pieces of chicken or twice cooked chicken but all of it was dry in the center. I struggle to give 5 star, there is a lot that swirls in my mind to achieve this. I have waited a few trips to Tangs to write a review because (and I will be honest) I couldn't place the establishment. I have had a lot and honestly, Tangs is amazing. First, the service is so very nice. Second, GREAT loyalty program, and Third, lets talk food.... The cup of soup is just that....the bowl feeds a small army. I usually get Kung Pao and Orange Chicken to split among my spawns. The serving sizes are GREAT. I will say that eating in is sooooooo much better than delivery. For whatever reason, decent Chinese restaurants are practically non-existent in the Fort Worth area. Most restaurants use sushi rice for their fried rice (annoying) and it seems no one knows how to make hot and sour soup. Tang's rights both of these wrongs! They have a slew of lunch specials from 11am-3pm and a great happy hour from 2pm-5pm that includes lots of their appetizers at a discounted price. I can't explain how fire their hot mustard is! It's beyond addictive - so good, you should try it. My favorite menu items are: Kung Pao Chicken Moo Goo Gai Pan House Special Chicken Hot and Sour Soup Crab Rangoon Sesame Chicken Egg Fried Rice I almost always have some special request, and my order is ALWAYS made correctly. I've also tried: Mongolian Beef - tasty, just not big on Chinese beef Wonton Soup - was a little too gingery for me Paper Wrapped Chicken - tried it because of happy hour, unimpressed Seafood Ramen - yum and would recommend Lo Mein - so/so The portions are generous! I went and grabbed my second order for my mother-in-law, confirmed on the receipt it was my food and proceeded out the door. I was stopped by a shy but irritated young hostess who asked if that was my food and if I paid for it. I said yes, my names Matt and I paid online. She said the receipt didn't say I paid for it and said I was stealing the food. She made me come back inside after I was out in the rain to verify it was paid through online service all because they rang it up wrong. First time I've been accused of stealing. Wonderful little place! We have been meaning to try this restaurant for a while, but were unable to due to COVID closures. Now that they are open at 25% capacity we decided to give it a shot. We are SO GLAD that we did! I am full to bursting and very satisfied. I had the teriyaki chicken bento box, which I requested egg drop soup with instead of miso. The soup was delicious, incorporating sweet corn and a bit of mushroom- best egg drop soup I've ever had, honestly. The bento box has a lot of food in it- the only thing I wasn't a fan of were the fried dumplings because I prefer steamed. Everything else was very good, though, my favorite being the tempura shrimp and vegetable. They tasted extremely fresh and flavorful. We are definitely coming back again soon. read more

God I love mushu chicken. It has to be my absolute favorite Chinese dish out there! Tangs does it exceptionally well. This place is always having a fresh new take on Pacific and Chinese and even sometimes Cajun seafood dishes and I adore it! Their lunch special is so filling - coming with salad with a delicious sesame dressing, a spicy and flavorful hot and sour soup, and egg rolls fried and filled to perfection. Today having their mushu chicken was an absolute delight, even the lunch portion was huge and filling and just so delicious with a slightly savory take on plum sauce as well. We got this tonight for delivery and were super underwhelmed. The best part of the meal was the egg drop soup and the Chinese crepes for more Mu Shu, but the rest was very disappointing. Our son did like his kids sweet and sour chicken (now sauce) and steamed rice. My husband got the sweet and sour shrimp but the shrimp were chewy and it was loaded with peppers which permeated into the shrimp and it was also soggy. They accidentally sent him steamed rice when we ordered fried rice, but he ended up eating my fried rice because I didn't like it at all. The fried rice tasted like regular rice with soy sauce and was pretty bland and didn't have a great taste. My chicken Mu Shu was unfortunately so salty that I couldn't even eat it. The crepes were good but the Mu Shu was salty and not very good. The egg roll that came with my son's meal was also really greasy. So I do not live in the area, I was pet sitting for a friend and didn't want to go out in the rain. I took a gamble because Chinese food has always been really hit or miss for me. Tangs was AMAZING from start to finish. Seriously please consider opening a location closer to Arlington/Grand Prairie. The girl who took my order the phone was thorough, repeated things back to ensure they were accurate. There is a delivery minimum which was easy to achieve for one person. Food came right as expected for a Saturday night. This is the most thoughtfully prepared take out I've ever ordered. My fountain drink was packaged to be carried but not spilled and kept away from others hands. The sauce for my chicken was also wrapped so it would not spill. My entree came in a reusable container which is always a plus for me! Now the food itself was SO GOOD! Sweet and sour chicken perfect with plenty of veggies in the mix. Sauce was great and the right consistency. My steamed rice wasn't mushy. I just have to say this place was great and I appreciate all the attention to detail on a busy Saturday night. Food was okay, barely filling. Got the Pu Pu platter to sample a variety of appetizers, including beef sticks, crab rangoon, egg roll, shrimp tempura, fried dumpling and spare rib. The beef sticks were very thin and dry but probably one of the most flavorful things that we got.. the crab rangoons are horrendous, soggy yet tough. Egg rolls are upgraded spring rolls and yet probably best thing in the order. Shrimp tempura was also soggy and tasted old. Fried dumpling was flavorless and rubbery. The spare rib was okay, nothing to be desired. Then we got two entrees, Pineapple chicken --with bell peppers, carrots, white onions, snow peas, and pineapples. The chicken was kibbles and bits with two to three big pieces of chicken the rest was a lot of pineapple and handful of veggies. Next Mongolian Beef --stir-fried with green onions, yellow onions and served topped with sprinkles of crispy rice noodles. There was zero rice noodles and an insulting amount of onions that you have to dig through to find the minuscule amount of shriveled up nothing meat they want to call "velveted beef" this entree is the only reason I came to leave a review in the first place. It's nothing special, bland food and would have left it at that and never returned but the insane amount of onions to tiny bits of beef ratio would have been laughable if I hadn't paid $17 for it...in total $50 for 2 entrees and an appetizer platter for pure disappointment and plus an automatic 15% gratuity charge if you don't catch it before you check out for your PICK UP ORDER ?? read more

One of the worst food I had. The lemon chicken is completely wrong. It is basically katsu with lemon slices on the side. The pot stickers were only cooked on one side and the fried rice had no flavor. The Mongolian beef was rubbery and the texture was really weird. I wouldn't come back to this place again. read more

The food is as good as it has always been. It is definitely 4-5 stars, for our family. We've ordered there for years, and keep coming back. However, the delivery, which used to be their own is now done by grub hub and isn't what it used to be. Tang's forgot one of our favorite items in our order. So, I called them. Apparently, their error is MY problem. I was unable to get the item or a refund... I had to call grub hub in freaking CA. After 30 minutes of phone tag and holding, my food was cold and I was forced to take a refund. GREAT!!!! Maybe it's time to look for a place that does their own delivery/or realizes that when they screw up the customer should not have to spend the evening trying to fix their error! I ordered food from here because I was in the mood for Chinese that wasn't from Panda and I was REALLY happy with the quality and flavor. It is the first time in a long time that I've found a place that makes flavorful food and plenty of spice. The dish I ordered was labeled as "spicy" and I requested to make "more spicy" and they didn't hesitate, they fried up plenty of whole dried red chili and left it in the food which I loved and ate up happily. My wife ordered their Cajun style shrimp and crab and the size of the shrimp were HUGE and perfectly cooked (especially since it was delivered).
