We don't actually dine out a lot day to day, or even order food much anymore, but if I had to guess, I would say this is probably the place we still order from the most. Over the years, this place has solidifed itself as my favorite pad Thai and Thai fried rice (usually get both with shrimp or tofu). Both are consistently delicious, hot and fresh, and the spice level you ask for is actually the spice level you get. Also love their crispy pork spring rolls (although, FYI, they run out some days boooo). They also get big bonus points for being the one place I can find great khao soi nearby. It doesn't have the traditional stewed chicken in it, but that's fine. The broth is what matters most and theirs is top notch. I developed a liking for khao soi a few years ago on a trip to California and I am thrilled that I can get it here - and from a spot I already love in the first place. I've ordered from Thai Rice & Noodle several times through DoorDash, and at this point I can say it's one of my favorite Thai spots in the metroplex. I've been on a mission to find the best Pad Kra Pao around here ever since I had it at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Bangkok two years ago and fell in love with it. Thai Rice & Noodle is the closest I've found to scratching that itch. Their Pad Kra Pao is excellent. I've also had their papaya salad, mango sticky rice, and khao soi, and all of it has been delicious. The khao soi in particular is fantastic if you like a rich, curry-based soup. Honestly, everything I've tried has made me want to keep working my way through the menu. One helpful tip on spice level: the first time I ordered, I got level 5, and it wasn't quite as hot as I wanted. The next time I added a note asking for "Thai hot please," and that got it where I wanted it. So if you really like heat, that may help. Let me star by saying I have rated here for the past 6 years and loved it. Bet for me around however tonight the food I ordered was not god at all. Ordered $80 worth of food for delivery and they forgot the rice for the spicy basil dish which is not a dish without the rice. Called them in hopes they would make it right. They expected me to drive there to get a refund on the rice or they would give me a discount on next order, both options left me without my meal. Simply sending a driver with my rice was all I wanted but they would rather I drive there for their mistake. Decent Thai restaurant in the North Fort Worth area - much of their business is via takeout. Every time we have ordered food was prepared far quicker than the allotted time. Two big notes here - - a bit on the pricier side. Food quality is good, but portion sizes are not reflective of the price. A meal for a family of 4 will cost close to $100z - seafood meat portions are consistently small. They make their own peanut sauce and it is the best thing that's ever graced my tastebuds. The portions are huge and they have a lunch menu that includes the entree, salad, an egg roll, and a drink for about $11.00 which is unheard of in this economy. The shrimp tom yum had the right amount of tang and spice, we even wished we had gotten a larger portion. Pad see aew is always a solid choice and at a spice level 3 there was just enough spice to balance the flavor. Would like to start this out by saying this was our favorite Thai place for almost 2 years until today. Decided to place a to go order probably our first mistake. Was told that my food would be ready in 35-40 min. Perfectly fine we usually eat in but we have since moved away from the area so decided to grab it on my way home from work. Took an hour and a half to actually get my food. Multiple people came in and ordered to go and received their order before me. I understand some orders take longer but I literally got spring rolls a cup of soup pad Thai and one other thing. None of which should have taken an hour and a half to get. Had a friend bring me here for dinner this past week. Why do I always forget to try what's in my backyard. Literally this place is a mile from my house. Definitely a diamond in the rough. I like the decor inside. They have booths so you can have a conversation but not too cramped either. Be prepared that it might get a little busy, so you have to give them a few minutes and be patient. We stayed off with egg rolls. Wow! They were fresh and really crispy. Great flavor and watch out....oven hot coming out. I ordered the Pad Thai with beef. Loved those noodles and so much flavor lacked in the plate. My family and I have been here a couple of times since moving into the Alliance area. The prices are a bit expensive (definitely $$), but the amount of food served is pretty substantial. For a family of 4, you can easily spend $70‐$90 during lunch time. The menu ranges from appetizers like spring rolls and tofu to noodle dishes like pad thai and drunken noodle. All dishes have a range of spiciness that you can choose from: 1 as the least spicy to 5 as most spicy. My personal favorite is the pad thai with tofu at a spiciness of 2. I have heard from several people around town that their drunken noodle dish is absolutely noteworthy. For drinks, there's your basic water and sodas that have free refills. You can also get hot tea or a variety of boba drinks. Everything is made fresh to order and comes out fairly quickly. They usually have a family-friendly anime playing to watch while you wait for your food. If you have not tried this place yet, it's totally worth it. We always go in hungry and leave completely satisfied and carrying leftovers for later. Yum!! read more
