I knew that budget pricing likely meant a lower-quality haircut, but I'm not very particular when it comes to my hair, so I booked an appointment. The experience was as I'd expected (very similar to a Great Clips or another average barber), but when I went up to pay, they informed me that they'd increased their prices by over 30% but hadn't updated their website. They showed me a small pile of pamphlets on the opposite side of the check-in counter that listed the updated prices, but most customers don't look for pamphlets when they check in--they simply say that they're here and take a seat. Unfortunately, they acknowledged their mistake but weren't willing to honor their online advertised prices that had convinced me to give the place a try, so I ended up paying what the salons I was considering visiting charged but received a less-than-salon experience. I wish Chance & Taylor had more of an emphasis on transparent pricing for customers who book online or based on the website's claims. I understand that mistakes happen, but having your customers bear the consequences doesn't seem right to me.

I've been here twice and Diana has a lot of fun coloring and cutting my hair because few people will go bold with their hair. It's not going to kill you to cut it or color it. Hair grows back and you can always change the color. For $85 I get a nice color and cut, and I'm out in 1.5 hours. I'll keep coming back for as long as they'll take me!
