Buffalo chicken strips

Again, the food was almost inedible. Please don't waste your hard earned money by ordering food here. There was a time when Tanners had great bar food. That time has long gone. The last 3 times we have ordered it has been terrible. There will not be any more chances given. We ordered the fried chicken strips with buffalo sauce and they were burnt. How do you burn fried chicken strips and then still send them out for delivery with a good conscience. Never again will we order from Tanners. So s

Went on a Thursday afternoon at 4:30. The negative reviews from this place made me put this place off for a while. However, it's so close to me, and sometimes I crave good old bar food. Atmosphere: Very open, large bar, tables kinda close together, dim lighting. Service: We were seated right away, and our server was very friendly and attentive. I loved that she had a handheld device that sent order back to the kitchen immediately. This allowed her to stop at multiple tables, without having to run back to a POS system. Food: Pretty much bar food through and through. Nothing fancy by any means. I was mostly craving sides and apps. -Southwest Egg Rolls: Yum! They were filled with the perfect ratio of beans, corn, cheese and chicken. Hot, gooey, flakey and crispy. -Tots: Crispy and delicious. -Loaded Fries: Could have been warmer. The cheese wasn't all that melted. They were still very good though. I might get them without the queso next time. Club Sandwich: Pretty good. Good amount of bacon and turkey. Would have liked if it was cut in traditional little triangles. They had several different breads you could choose to have it made with. Patty Melt: Really good. My husband got it with a side of veggies. They do nice big pieces of steamed broccoli and shredded carrots, with almost a garlic butter like sauce on them. Drinks: They had a huge beer selection. Overall, it satisfied my bar food craving. Will be back. It does appear to get pretty busy around 5:00.

This tanners used to be a decent restaurant now it's completely ran down. Their famous chicken lips are my go to. They normally come with about 7-8 lightly breaded and juicy. My father just went today said the service was awful got two orders of chicken lips, even asked the lady how many came in the box she said 7-9 and in each box got 5 burnt tenders. They normally a long lips and when I opened the box they were very small. Very annoyed this business has gone to the ground in every aspect. They also forgot my ranch

The Tanner's restaurants in Omaha are better. This one seems dirty. The service can be slow and the food isn't anything to overcome either.

There were no instructions once the order was placed (or during the process of checking out). When we arrived we parked in the TO-GO spot and waited 10 minutes, assuming we were just a little early (which we were). Finally went inside and our food had just been sitting there for "who knows" how long. We ordered fried mushrooms app, The Longhorn burger with fries, and Mushroom Swiss burger with chili. With tip, which I gave a bigger tip for curbside, it came to just about $50. We had a short drive home. The mushrooms were getting soggy from their likely longer-than-necessary wait in the box, but they were still good. The burgers were very tasty. My fries were extremely soggy and floppy; very undercooked (not just soggy from steaming in the box). The chili was a nightmare. It smelled like canned spaghetti sauce and was so salty it was barely edible. I don't know if it even had chili powder or other seasoning in it. Next day I put the left over fries in the oven and got them crisped up and they were actually pretty good. Despite their tasty burgers and good portion size, I doubt we'd be willing to return. The flimsy styrofoam containers for takeout didn't hold up well, even though all we did was carry the bag to the car and into the house.

Sure, it's a bar & grille,…read morebut their kitchen churns out some really good food and specials are always creative and featured. You'll find it right across the street from 3&2 Baseball's west complex. If there is youth baseball in the nicer months, then you can bet that some of those sluggers will matriculate across the street in search of lunch or dinner with families in tow. And with good reason, because Callahan's offers something for just about every palate. I would suggest sampling their BBQ, of which the menu is not vast but what they do, they do really well. The K-7 Combo is one of my favorites, a brisket & sliced sausage sandwich with a house BBQ sauce (or even the K-10, which subs in pulled pork for the sausage). Really good entrée and pairs just right with some of their sides, like a house potato salad or smoked beans. The wing game is pretty strong here, featuring a sweet & spicy glaze called the Honey Badger. It's not too sweet and not too spicy and sits nicely atop their twice-done wings. A basket of wings (8) runs $13.50 and that's a fairly good meal without a side. The kids' menu has plenty of the usual suspects, but Callahan's also does thin crust pizza from scratch and knocks those out of the park. I'd suggest the Big 8, which is their version of a 'supreme', and that's enough for at least two people, or maybe one teenager. Local knowledge: if you just want a side, then I'd suggest their sweet potato fries. Cut in-house and super crispy, and a basket alone is a phenomenal choice. Service is always friendly and quick and check the specials on the board as you come in. There are TVs in almost every direction, because sportsball, and there is not a bad seat in the place. The patio faces west and is open in nicer weather, and the bar has plenty of seating if you just want a solo spot. Prices are totally on par with the area, and the food delivers a value that matches or outpaces the price. Easy access, friendly service, and great food!

Parking was ample outside and we came in right about dinner time. We were sat immediately and I soon had a nice red beer. The cheese burgers were the special, so I opted for one of those with fries + the "my girlfriend isn't hungry" add of a couple chicken strips and some extra fries. The burger was perfect, but I've gotta say...for being a place called *Burg* and Barrel, their chicken strips are the best. They're juicy, the breading is fantastic, and they're always just really high quality. We came in while they were starting the trivia night deal, which I couldn't care less about, but if that's something you're a fan of...it's a thing here. Overall it was just another fantastic meal at the best burger/brew chain in the KC area.

Box sizes and to-go orders don't really have a good presentation or fit with the amount of food you normally get while dining in at the restaurant. But Burg and Barrel has it down. Everything travels very well. And they are good at ensuring they have the right boxes for the right items. Venting in place to keep the fries (or tots) from steaming up and getting soggy. Boxes that are big enough for the full sandwich and a full order of fries. Snagged a beer while I waited and didn't even make it all the way through before the bartender showed up with our to-go order. Then speaking of Ambiance... we got to sit in my awesome living room and wolf down burgers and a steak salad while watching the movie of choice for the night. I didn't order an appetizer because I wanted to get straight to the food. I went with the Fried Clucker and a side of waffle fries. This sandwich was unbelievable huge..smothered in their house sauce, which tasted like a milder version of buffalo sauce. I thought the flavor was good, but the fried skin was falling off the chicken. Every time I cut a piece, the breading would just slide right off. Maybe they need to brine the chicken better to help it stick more but it was no biggie, it still had a good flavor. My boyfriend ordered the chicken-fried chicken, and honestly... nothing too special about it. The mashed potatoes that came with it were flavorless at first, but once we added salt and pepper, they were tasty. Now, I get that this is a bar and grill, so I'm not trying to be overly critical or nit-picky but in that category, Brewbakers definitely ranks on the higher end. This is hands down the best bar and grill I've tried when it comes to food. They even serve Jambalaya here.. what kind of bar and grill do you ever see serving this?? Would I come back? Of course!
