Wait to be seated sign hidden behind a pole

Stopped in for the live music on the patio on 5/25. Sat at the outdoor wrap around bar on the patio. Three different female employees came out and not one came to ask if we wanted a drink or food menu. They looked at us but were more interested in picking up some little dirty dog WALKING along the ENTIRE outside bar. I went inside and ordered two four drinks and the bartender was very helpful and even opened the door for me. I saw him bringing drinks out for other customers. Meanwhile the three females did nothing. There weee three tables never cleaned the entire time we sat watching the live music. I posted the sign that we later saw hidden indicating check in for patio seating. Ok so we missed it, get over it and address the customer, there was only a handful of people outside. We won't be back.

Fresh fried mozzarella sticks and a Jack & coke

Great scratch kitchen! This is a lot quieter then the other locations. We grabbed a booth and enjoyed the kettle chips, mozzarella sticks, and wings. The kettle chips were awesome and pair nicely with their famous ranch dressing. The mozzarella sticks were hot and delicious. These aren't your average frozen bar kind that comes out exploded or luke warm. These are fresh cheese cooked to order! The wings were a hit too. Especially with their famous ranch. The drinks were very generous sized. Definitely would eat there again.

    Togo firehouse and fries

Good to get back to normal! Still grabbed good Togo but was nice to come in swipe a card sign a receipt. Watch the TVs and people watch while waiting for our order. Place was pretty busy they had every other table taped off. We order 3 different burgers and seasoned fried. All were good Longhorn, south philly, and I got the firehouse. Everyone loved their burger. Mine was really good a little more cooked than I ordered but still juicy and flavorful. Fries made it home still crispy which was a huge plus.

Always solid. The pork tenderloin is for the ambitious appetite! Chicken tenders fresh made. Nice patio.

TOP had me at "Sunday Funday Bloody Mary Bar"! We've been for a handful of game nights for some classic American grub, cold beers & massive TVs. The staff has been nothing but wonderful! The menu variety is chill with options for everyone. Nachos, Salads, sandwiches, pizzas ... portions are massive and we've learned to share (or have ample leftovers). It's nice to have a spot close by with Local Rotating Beers on tap. You can always splurge for a Mule or Mixed drink too! If only their barstools had chair backs ...

Ah another Other Place... I don't believe that I have reviewed this one before... though I believe I have eaten here. Maybe not... I remember the location being home to Murphy's way back. But, that was the past and there is a place filled with deliciousness right here in front of me! This visit was with several friends after moving furniture from a nursing home... talk about depressing. So nothing better than a good hot meal and a drink to lighten the load! We had a chipper and attentive waitress that was great at stopping by to keep the drinks full and let us know status of cooking and the like. Mine was the Cajun Chicken Cobb Salad... and it was delicious! The right amount of dressing. Plenty of spice and a good mix of warmth and freshness! The other items ordered and all were well enjoyed by our table. The Mushroom Swiss burger, the Firehouse burger, Philly Cheese Steak, and the Cajun Chicken Pepper Jack Wrap. The drinks were a mix of beers, teas, and sodas. And the price point for all this delicious food was fantastic! I can hear you now... "But Rob... you only gave them 4 stars!" So let me explain where that last star went... Though we were seated quickly the restaurant was a bit of a mess... it was obviously that tables had just left and no one had the time to clean up. Our table was wiped down only after they decided to seat us there. Now this could be a scheduling issue or maybe someone didn't show, or just being super busy... either way... wet table and exhibited being disorganized. The other thing... and this isn't the restaurants fault... a college football game was on... and there was an extremely loud and rambunctious crowd rooting for both teams. Needless to say they were less than cognizant about the other diners around them. The bottom line is that I love The Other Place and they will not let you down... I will definitely check the game schedule before I go though... I should have learned that from The Other Place in downtown Overland Park. Hey all! Thanx for reading and keep on eating!

Can't watch any games at the bar because there is so much static on the speakers. We were there for a Chiefs game but left for Tanners.

You'll find it right across the street from 3&2 Baseball's west complex. If there is youth baseball in the nicer months, then you can bet that some of those sluggers will matriculate across the street in search of lunch or dinner with families in tow. And with good reason, because Callahan's offers something for just about every palate. I would suggest sampling their BBQ, of which the menu is not vast but what they do, they do really well. The K-7 Combo is one of my favorites, a brisket & sliced sausage sandwich with a house BBQ sauce (or even the K-10, which subs in pulled pork for the sausage). Really good entrée and pairs just right with some of their sides, like a house potato salad or smoked beans. The wing game is pretty strong here, featuring a sweet & spicy glaze called the Honey Badger. It's not too sweet and not too spicy and sits nicely atop their twice-done wings. A basket of wings (8) runs $13.50 and that's a fairly good meal without a side. The kids' menu has plenty of the usual suspects, but Callahan's also does thin crust pizza from scratch and knocks those out of the park. I'd suggest the Big 8, which is their version of a 'supreme', and that's enough for at least two people, or maybe one teenager. Local knowledge: if you just want a side, then I'd suggest their sweet potato fries. Cut in-house and super crispy, and a basket alone is a phenomenal choice. Service is always friendly and quick and check the specials on the board as you come in. There are TVs in almost every direction, because sportsball, and there is not a bad seat in the place. The patio faces west and is open in nicer weather, and the bar has plenty of seating if you just want a solo spot. Prices are totally on par with the area, and the food delivers a value that matches or outpaces the price. Easy access, friendly service, and great food!

Box sizes and to-go orders don't really have a good presentation or fit with the amount of food you normally get while dining in at the restaurant. But Burg and Barrel has it down. Everything travels very well. And they are good at ensuring they have the right boxes for the right items. Venting in place to keep the fries (or tots) from steaming up and getting soggy. Boxes that are big enough for the full sandwich and a full order of fries. Snagged a beer while I waited and didn't even make it all the way through before the bartender showed up with our to-go order. I ALWAYS get their amazing tots that are perfectly seasoned and crispy, but my coworkers upgraded to the massive onion rings. I thought the flavor was good, but the fried skin was falling off the chicken. Every time I cut a piece, the breading would just slide right off.
