Friendly staff, great customer service. I ordered Kung poa shrimp combo which was very tasty. Combo came with egg drop soup which had great flavor, egg roll and 2 won tons.

This place wasn't too bad. The general chicken was not what I thought. It was a little chewy and deli I was hoping for more crispy and a little more spicy. The eggrolls weren't bad at all. Overall not the greatest experience but not the worst.

Pong Wok Pork minus the soup/puff/roll

I thought this place was great! Ordered a Pong Wok Pork lunch combo for $6.50 (fried rice, crab puff, spring roll, hot and sour soup, and pork with vegetables). The entree was sweet, savory, and spicy all at once. The fried rice was pretty tasty with big pieces of rice and vegetables. I usually don't care much for fried rice from restaurants and get steamed rice instead but I'm glad I tried it! My order was ready on time and survived my trip back to work reasonably well despite the large amount of sauce and heaping serving inside. Not pictured are the crab puff, roll, or soup (such a great balance of spicy and sour) because I ate them before I realized I was definitely going to review them. I look forward to trying some of the many other dishes on the menu. :)

    Yum! This is lunch!

Family owned, sit down (no longer buffet), amazing service, low prices, and the food....simply delicious!!!! Highly recommend, our favorite Chinese food place! Clean and inviting, nice atmosphere, looks like newly remodeled!

Terrible food, wonder why the health department hasn't shut them down. Seems like they use out of date ingredients!

One of the better Chinese restaurants I've been to lately. I love their Singapore mai fun. Inexpensive delivery compared to Uber et al.

It was not good. Everything was soggy and rather bland. Not a place we plan on returning to.

Great Chinese food restaurant. Gotta try the Cashew Nut Chicken and the Garlic Chicken. The Hot and Sour soup is great too!

For years I have driven 25 minutes for takeout and never regretted it. High decor -No, limited selections -No, quiet -No, great food -Absolutely, incredibly friendly and pleasant staff -100%. Our typical order is a large General Chicken with extra sauce and Malaysian fun chow. The general chicken is perfectly breaded, deliciously flavored, slight bite and an uncious taste making you want more. The Malaysian fun chow has wok fried wide rice noodles with a hint of char, shrimp, bean sprouts, onions, veggies and a light but savory taste. Another home run! Don't let the exterior or inside decor persuade your judgement. Hands down the staff is second to none and the food is fabulous. Asian Cafe Express is an incredible value for the food quality and portion size. Trust me, if you give them a shot, you will also be ordering here for years. To the staff, fabulous job and thanks!

A Mesa Asian District Gem Worth Seeking Out…read more Asian Cafe Express is a lovely strip mall gem near H-Mart in Mesa's Asian District, and after 21 years in business, it clearly has a loyal following for good reason. We brought in a fresh lobster from H-Mart to try their "bring your own seafood" cooking option and chose the garlic onion stir fry preparation. It's $14.99 for anything under 2 lbs and $7.50/lbs for anything over. It came out excellent, served over crispy egg noodles with classic Asian flavors and plenty of wok-fired goodness. We also enjoyed the Peking pork ribs, which were deboned, tasty, and slightly sweet; the stir-fried green beans, which were fresh and well prepared; and the garlic spicy chicken wings, which were especially flavorful and highly recommended. The red bean drinks were traditional and satisfying, with soft, nicely soaked mung beans and no milk. Service was friendly, efficient, and personal, handled by a couple of ladies who clearly know the restaurant and their customers well. While we were there, plenty of regulars came in for takeout and several tables were happily dining in. Overall, we really enjoyed Asian Cafe Express and were surprised we had not stopped in sooner. Highly recommend, especially for the "bring your own seafood" cooking option and the garlic spicy wings. We will definitely be back.

Passed it twice but finally found it tucked between a McDonalds and a vacant adjacent business. Once we found it there were plenty of open spaces in the lot just south of the restaurant. Atmosphere 4/5 Curb appeal left a low initial impression as the business pads in the complex are a bit dated. Inside, the dining room was clean and not busy at all. Most of the business while here was call in pick up orders. Service 5/5 Given we were the only customers in the dining room we essentially enjoyed private service which was friendly, prompt. Food 5/5 Dim Sum is run by a family and serves Cantonese style food which is different than other regional Chinese dishes. Variety is a beautiful thing. Our order was a sampling of dishes to get an idea of what the food was like. Ordered steamed pork dumplings. Beef brisket and tendon soup. BBQ pork fried rice. Singapore Chow fun. Everything was delicious, my favorite was the brisket soup. To die for flavor backflipping good. My second favorite was their pork dumplings then the fried rice. All entrees came with very generous portions and could easily be shared. I brought home plenty for leftover lunch Saturday. I was so very much looking forward to the dim sum here from other reviews, but didn't enjoy most of the items. The skin on the har gow and the shu mai were inedible. It's like they left the items on a hot well for a few hours and then served it to us - not fresh at all.
