Happy Bao's is located inside Mekong plaza and is one of my favorite dumpling restaurant. We went during lunch time on a sunday and it was quite busy. I haven't been in a while and I noticed they sadly took away their combo meals. Either way, the food was so yummy. We ordered the house fried rice which includes shrimp, beef, chicken and BBQ pork with onions, peas and carrots. The portion size was also huge. We also got soup dumplings and the pork sheng jian bao buns. Out of the dumplings, the soup dumplings were soo good and juicy. The pork sheng jian bao buns were good too, but I prefer the soup dumplings more. I also love the sauces they paired with the dumplings. You can also ask them for some ginger. The beef noodle soup was also so flavorful. The broth was so rich and the noodles had a good texture. Service was also super quick and efficient. This is a small restaurant with a couple tables inside and right outside. They do take card which is a plus. I will definitely be coming back when I am craving asian comfort food.

Honestly not sure what the hype is about this place. Overall the food was meh and that doesn't say much. We stopped in and placed an order to go so we could sit at the food court. They don't allow outside drinks and we had our boba teas with us. We tried their spicy chili dumplings, chicken xiao long bao and beef chow fun. The spicy chili dumplings were all spice and no flavor. The filling inside lacked any depth to it, all I tasted was pork. Definitely need to up their game and include some flavor in their meats. The chicken xiao long bao were decent soup dumplings. The chicken had more flavor and the broth was tasty. Definitely wasn't the best I have had, but not the worst. The beef chow fun was inedible. Not sure what they put in it or how it's cooked, but it had a weird smell to it. It was so off putting and I could smell it through the take out bag. Couldn't put my finger on the cause, but it ruined the dish. My wife also felt the beef was a cheap cut, you could tell from the texture.

Haven't been here in awhile and decided to meet up with a friend for a late lunch. We order the Xia Long baos, beef chow fun and spicy wontons. We were immediately greeted by a nice gentleman. Then a friendly & professional lady brought our water and took our order. This has always been a small store front with a few tables just outside the store front. Everything was clean and we arrived just in time to get a table inside. Our food was prepared, cooked and seasoned well. I would definitely return.

Take out review! I ordered via DoorDash though you can order in front of their shop on the iPad. I got the chicken dumplings and the braised pork rice. Chicken dumplings: Dry and chewy. Not good. Wouldn't recommend. Braised pork rice: The flavor was good and the pork was tender but wish they gave a little bigger portion of rice and meat. The other reason I give it 2 stars is because of the lack of care when it came to packaging the order. They included no utensils and no sauce for the dumplings. Not only that, they didn't wrap it tight so the sauce of the pork rice spilled all over the bag when I opened it up. Maybe you'll have a better dine in experience.

Lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. The place was very crowded, but everything moved quickly. We sat outside (which is a table inside the mall, but outside the restaurant itself). The menu has plenty of options from dumplings to bao to rice to veggies. We opted from a variety of place of bao, Chinese broccoli, and Honey ribs. All the dishes were really good! The bao are chewy on the top and crispy on the bottom. The honey ribs were delicious! Yes, they are small pieces of rib with bones, but the bones are easily removed. I actually dipped my bao dough in the remaining honey rib sauce. So good! The Chinese broccoli was a nice offset to the meat of the other dishes. There are a variety of sauces you can get on the veggies. Spicy garlic was very good. N*joy!

The photo from internet is def not real. The beef noodle soup was not hot enough and the Xiao Long Bao was warm only. They gave you a lot of meat for the beef noodle soup and noodles is overcooked.

Happy Baos truly make me happy! They're my family's go-to for delicious baos and authentic Chinese food, and they've never let us down. Over the past few years, we've tried several different items and have enjoyed everything, but our favorites are XLB, vegetable shen jian bao, and Singapore rice noodle. The food is always super tasty and fresh. The portions are big enough to share, and the prices won't break the bank. They also have combo deals for two, four, or more people, which are a great deal if you're not too picky! Happy Baos is located inside Mekong Plaza near the food court. The space is cozy, but there's ample seating inside and outside of their space, but fills up quickly. They now have a device outside for placing to-go orders, making it more convenient to get your hands on their delicious baos!

First time. This restaurant was in a asian area of Mesa from what we saw. Inside was small. We got the Xiao Long Bao, Dan Dan, and House Fried Rice. Everything was very good. I will say the Xiao's dumpling peel was a bit too thin. But all flavors were yummy. Service was nice as well. Private lot in front

Delicious! We went and tried a couple restaurants in the shopping center. Happy Bao was great! It had its own dine in area, you order at the register and then sit down. My favorite thing I got was the spicy Wontons! But I also ordered the Pork Bao.

Spectacular food. Tastiest noodles ever, especially the lamb one: perfect broth (not too salty but still flavorful), very tender meat, and fresh hand pulled noodles with perfect consistency. Xiao long bao were also very well-made, the skins not breaking. Highly recommend.

XLB was good. juicy inside but pretty easy to get broth leaked if you are not super good with chopsticks. brased pork rice was okay but i like the pork to be chopped into smaller pieces, tofu is nice touch,do not recommend dandan noodle was soggy and taste like instant ramen, bland, not authentic,do not recommend i dont recommend anything other than XLB

Tucked in the back of a shopping plaza this was a delicious find! We initially came to this plaza because h mart is across the street but stumbled across this and got immediately hungry. When you walk up to the front, you will see a kiosk that you can put your name down or order to go. We were seated pretty quickly, but we were the first ones on the list but all the seats were packed. They got people in and out pretty quickly, and the staff was very friendly. Now time for the good stuff! The food was delicious and fresh. You can tell that the soup dumplings were handmade and made with love! The cucumber salad was good, but very garlic. Something that kind of did throw me off was that the cucumbers look like they had been smashed in the middle which I wasn't too fond of, but the cucumbers still had a good crunch when we bit into them. So for presentation on the cucumber salad I would give a 2/5. I would definitely come back and get more soup dumplings or they refer to them as Xiao Long Bao. We also got the Rou Jia Mo which had pork and some other ingredients in there, and it was in between almost like an English muffin, but fresh. Overall, it was also very flavorful and I would get this again. The ambiance was busy since so many people were eating there during lunch! I would likely prepare to wait a little, we happened to luck out that we only waited about 5 minutes.

Ordered on DoorDash and everything came out great. My favorite was the Steamed Dumplings, love that it came with vinegar wish there was chili oil though! ig: @cravingswithcat

This does make it a little easier to take any leftovers to go because you can grab a lid later. The inside is very clean. You likely won't see too many other guests eating in as most get takeout. Unfortunately, Kung Fu Noodles does not live up to that for us. You have to approach this restaurant with takeout in mind. Portion sizing is pretty generous. The food itself is very okay. Either way, The food we received was the bomb.com! We were hanging out and watching movies on a Saturday while my lady was nursing a bit of a cold. She wanted something in the chicken noodle soup family, and after a bit of back-and-forth, we decided to look for Ramen or pho. Now that's where the start started, but that's clearly not where it ended. After a couple of different searches, we found kung fu noodle And simply picked it based on a combination of the pictures, the reviews and the fact that they have several noodle soup options that looked really appealing. Ultimately, we ended up ordering the spicy beef noodle soup, and the house special noodle soup along with their dumplings, crab Rangoon's and fried rice. Now, usually I skip straight to the review of the food at this point, but I have to give them one additional compliment. This place goes the extra mile in terms of making sure the delivery experience is Extra level. Starting with their packaging, which, for someone who is infatuated with great design, they really do a great job of driving home the full brand experience! Not only were the package is aesthetically, pleasing and artistic in some cases, but they were also very functional as well with all of the plastic containers having sealed lids that had to be broken open for the first time by us. This was just extra assurance that our food wasn't tampered with on the ride from the restaurant to the house. In addition, the food was extremely fresh and hot, even the crab Rangoon's, which in some cases can be delivered with that wet, gummy effect because of the steam and condensation that accumulates inside of many of the take-home containers that you receive from most Asian food places. I wouldn't argue that this is the kind of containers that you would necessarily keep around as home Tupperware, but the bag that they sent everything in definitely feels like it's gotta reuse or two in it. Overall, we were really happy with the quality of the food as both Soups were portion wise enough for two consecutive days of meals. Same thing with the fried rice, which was really good We got the shrimp version and it had plenty of shrimp and veggies in addition to really fresh rice. Lastly, while I'm not specifically a dumpling guy, I decided to try these because the pictures looked really good on the website. And I can't lie, these were definitely really Good dumplings. Overall, we are looking forward to trying to spot out in person, but if we have to order again before we make it in person, that's what it is going to be!
