Grilled cheese sandwich, steak fries with tomato bisque soup, raspberry beer.

Very clean, nice music, food was spot on. Service was timely and friendly. I'm not one to order grilled cheese but I am happy I tried. Didn't disappoint. Fries were crisp, not greasy. Loved providing water at the table. The soup was a bit like Annie's tomato bisque.

    S'mores cold brew (no milk)

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The s'mores cold brew was delicious as well as the grilled chicken sandwich. My husband enjoyed the bbq burger. The service was great and the food came out quickly. I would highly recommend.

Y'all they got rid of the steaks!!!!!! I'm so beyond disappointed. Honestly the whole reason I returned was for the food envy of not ordering the steak the last time I was there. So now....I have been here various times and the food before was excellent. There also appeared to be much more variety before. It doesn't appear now that the restaurant staff and menu supports the initial idea of the place so the whole speakeasy vibe and is now lost in translation. The service this time was good albeit we had another new server so it kind of scares me that on more than one occasion our server was new. It doesn't appear to be a place where they can retain staff. In addition the place was pretty empty, so you would expect The servers to be extra attentive which did not appear to be the case. The food this time was not even memorable. My husband had some salad thing which was pretty standard. But this time nothing wowed me like the first or second time since the original options were greatly reduced or removed. Really kind of sad to see the whole vision for this place to fall apart. I'd say with the menu options now and the standard of service. They are better to scale back completely and rebrand as a lunch spot. Reduce the prices and put out cheaper lunch options. It's giving "it could have been love but it's over now..." Overall would not recommend this place for dinner or couples. But maybe a cool lunch spot for working professionals or ladies who lunch.

In this part of Johnstown, it definitely is a rough area. Parking is either on street or across the street in a gravel parking lot beneath a billboard. If you do park in that lot, do be carful crossing the street as it can be a busy one. Plus there is a slight curve that a driver might not see you while your rush across the street. Once inside you can tell that it lives up to the bar and grill in its name. It has this look inside that gives off this 80s dining vibe. One that calls back to those eateries once found in the mall. You know, those ones where it's almost too dark to see yourself let alone the menu. One where it is very dark wood, heavy on the brick, and all things that make you feel like your in and old time inn. Once settled at a table, we had our menus in hand and were given some time to look them over. Our server came back, took our drink orders and left us for a few more minutes to finalize our decisions considering the menu. Once we decided orders were place and we just waited for our food to come out. It gave us time to look around the place and take in our surroundings. When we first got here, there weren't many people. As we ordered, there were more and more customers that came in. Filling up the tables and making it feel warmer. We were in the midst of conversation and our food came out. I ordered the Franklin Street Bar & Grill Famous Meatloaf. This comes with a slice of the thickest homemade meatloaf I have ever seen. Plopped on top of a pile of mashed potatoes then topped with fried onion rings and smothered in brown gravy. This thing, even though not exactly as described and pictured, was delicious. Not sure if it is fame worthy as I have never heard of it, but hey, I will make sure to remember this when in the area again. To note, entrees are served with your choice of soup, salad, or applesauce, and comes with a homemade dinner roll. The service here is stellar. They all go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and their memory is like a vice grip. One thing you do need to keep on your toes about here, watch your step. With the dimness and small step ups, it would be easy to trip. They do have signs everywhere, but they can be hard to spot if you aren't aware of your surroundings.

Whether you come here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, your tastebuds will thank you and you'll leave with a very full belly. if you come here for breakfast, you can't go wrong with literally thing on the menu. For lunch, the sandwiches and soups are amazing! (They also have soup flights!!!) For dinner I always recommend the sou vide chicken. It's the best chicken in town. The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the wait times for food. Food can up to 45-50 minutes to come out of the kitchen when they are really busy. Now, does that impact the experience? Nope! Enjoy the atmosphere while you wait. It's always well worth it.

I then asked to speak to the owner and very aggressively she responded, "I'm the F******* owner". I caused no harm and the incompetent bouncers then locked me outside. I sustained injury to my hand and leg. The bouncers didn't even check to see if I was ok. Police and an ambulance were called. I will be pressing charges against this horrible and disgusting person/employee. She's a huge liability. This isn't the first time that she's been violent at her place of employment. I would be embarrassed to have her working for me. She is trash!! *** Also, This establishment keeps taking down this review. I will continue to get what happened to me out in the public!! **** The owner's reply "Always remember there are 2 sides to every story. First calling Someone a name to start out your comment is not a good look. "Ugly Jackie"? We have 64 cameras on property. This was all caught on numerous cameras. You were asked to leave Multiple times in a few minute timeframe, You then proceeded in flipping the middle finger to Jackie the bar-tender. She then came around from the back of the bar to help escort you off premises. When you got to the doorway a CUSTOMER. I repeat a CUSTOMER. pushed you out the door where you hit your leg and fell to the ground. The officers came and got the footage and I'm sure you will be notified of this. Again, A CUSTOMER, A MALE CUSTOMER, not a security guard, or any employee, then proceeded in Grabbing you and pushed you out the door. You hit the side of the door. You are correct, the Security Guard did then stop you and your friend from re-en-tering the building. Due to the scene you two created inside. You then called police and received an ambulance. In today's day and age cameras do not lie. Sometimes people do. I was not present, But once again. Watched the surveillance with the police today and this is what was seen by all. We were told to give you a notice to stay off the property. So here is your notice. Do not come back to Woodside Bar and Grill" *** It's amazing how false the owner's entire response is. I talked to the police and what he saying is indeed incorrect and actually, your manager was the one to release the footage to Stoneycreek Police. You were not involved. The owner, Robert, is trying to cover himself and his crappy violent establishment. Thank you for not welcoming me back because I wouldn't come back even if you paid me. I want nothing to do with people who support violence in this community and lying. I mean this sincerely, I hope one day that this places closes.

In all the time that I have lived in and around Johnstown, I had never been able to make it here…read more On a recent trip back home I met my sister and her family for a dinner. I'm glad I finally did to check this place of my to try list. From the outside, it looks like a typical hole-in-the-wall bar in the Johnstown area. I had no idea where parking was because every time I drove past here I would be doing it at a pace I couldn't see. I was happy to see that there was ample parking behind the street facing building. Entry from the parking lot takes you up stairs or a zig-zagging ramp that looks fairly new. This area is also connected to an outdoor seating area, can't really call it a patio. Or, you can enter from outside and take the stairs up into dining room. This is a seat yourself establishment. Once you are seated, you are greeted and given menus. What an extensive menu it is. The amount of items on the menu, if you haven't been here before, can be daunting. It took me a few minutes to just give it a once over. When the server came back around to take our drink order she asked if we needed a few more minutes, yes, we did. When she returned I was ready to go. I ordered the Pickle Chips as my appetizer and the Howler as my main. The Pickle Chips were served with a side of ranch for dipping and they were amazing. Perfectly coated, not too much and not too little. Dipping in the ranch cooled them down just enough to be enjoyable. Now, the Howler, is kind of an experience. The Howler is one of their signature burgers. Half-pound patty cooked to your liking. The set toppings on this burger is bacon, choice of cheese (American Cheddar, Swiss, Provolone, or Pepper Jack), meat sauce, and a fried egg. You also can choose to add lettuce tomato onion and pickle. For mine, I went American for the cheese, lettuce, onion and pickle. There really wasn't any need for condiments as there was already so much on the burger to give it flavor. It almost comes off as either a breakfast burger or a chili cheese burger. Although I did as for medium, they overcooked it a bit. What was a nice addition here was the side. You can go with the traditional fries or go for one of many that don't seem to have an upcharge to it. Tater tots, slaw, applesauce, or nachos and one item for an upcharge, onion rings. I went with tater tots. Overall, this was an enjoyable meal. Our service was impeccable. Atmosphere was lively.
