Ugly Jackie bartender pushed me onto the cold pavement because she was "offended" by my friend's presence. We had no interaction with her until she told us that we had to leave. I then asked to speak to the owner and very aggressively she responded, "I'm the F******* owner". I caused no harm and the incompetent bouncers then locked me outside. I sustained injury to my hand and leg. The bouncers didn't even check to see if I was ok. Police and an ambulance were called. I will be pressing charges against this horrible and disgusting person/employee. She's a huge liability. This isn't the first time that she's been violent at her place of employment. I would be embarrassed to have her working for me. She is trash!! *** Also, This establishment keeps taking down this review. I will continue to get what happened to me out in the public!! **** The owner's reply "Always remember there are 2 sides to every story. First calling Someone a name to start out your comment is not a good look. "Ugly Jackie"? We have 64 cameras on property. This was all caught on numerous cameras. You were asked to leave Multiple times in a few minute timeframe, You then proceeded in flipping the middle finger to Jackie the bar-tender. She then came around from the back of the bar to help escort you off premises. When you got to the doorway a CUSTOMER. I repeat a CUSTOMER. pushed you out the door where you hit your leg and fell to the ground. The officers came and got the footage and I'm sure you will be notified of this. Again, A CUSTOMER, A MALE CUSTOMER, not a security guard, or any employee, then proceeded in Grabbing you and pushed you out the door. You hit the side of the door. You are correct, the Security Guard did then stop you and your friend from re-en-tering the building. Due to the scene you two created inside. You then called police and received an ambulance. In today's day and age cameras do not lie. Sometimes people do. I was not present, But once again. Watched the surveillance with the police today and this is what was seen by all. We were told to give you a notice to stay off the property. So here is your notice. Do not come back to Woodside Bar and Grill" *** It's amazing how false the owner's entire response is. I talked to the police and what he saying is indeed incorrect and actually, your manager was the one to release the footage to Stoneycreek Police. You were not involved. The owner, Robert, is trying to cover himself and his crappy violent establishment. Thank you for not welcoming me back because I wouldn't come back even if you paid me. I want nothing to do with people who support violence in this community and lying. I mean this sincerely, I hope one day that this places closes. read more

Woodside... you really disappointed me. Really wanted to try something different tonight so I ordered the grilled chicken and spinach. Originally I wanted it with a veggie and the only veggie they had was garlic green beans (that's literally the only veggie I don't care for) so i opted for a baked potato and side salad instead. The side salad came out and it was smothered in cheese and really just lackluster. A few minutes later our food came out. Instead of getting a piece of grilled chicken on a bed of spinach and topped with tomatoes, I got over cooked and soggy spinach, mushy tomatoes, and cubed chicken all mixed in a rather unappetizing garlicky sauce. By far the worst meal I've ever had here. I basically ended up paying $11 for a baked potato and cheese smothered side salad. On top of that, service was not great. We ended up having to flag our waitress down for the check. This trip left a (literal) bitter taste in my mouth. Not sure when I'll return. read more

We placed an order here through one of the apps, can't remember exactly which one, but it did the job. Let me clarify, we attempted to call to place an order for pick up but for five straight minutes the phone was busy. We placed the order for pick up since we were nearby and made our way here after they told us when the time it would be done. We showed up a bit early just because and that allowed us to take the place in. This is a pretty impressive place considering where it is located. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere even though you lie within the Johnstown area. From the outside you are thinking that this can't be that impressive on the inside, but once you step inside you are kind of blown away. Looks like a newer place with all the bells and whistles. Generous seating area if you choose to dine in, whether it be at a table or the bar. There is also an outdoor fenced in area that accommodates for outside seating for warmer months. This area also houses another bar and a performance area, during the summer months they appear to have an acoustic mic night on Fridays. After a bit of waiting our food was ready to go. We weren't mad that it took a bit longer than expected because that meant our food was going to be fresh. The one thing that turned us off here was what we overheard from, what we are assuming, a regular here. "Why would you use an app to get food here, that's being lazy." First, this isn't the establishments fault, but if you want a return customer out of me I'd have put her in her place. Second, it's none of your business lady as to how, why, or what we were doing for our day. Maybe we didn't want to sit inside with music blaring. Maybe we wanted to enjoy the nice evening and eat on the porch at home. Maybe we were five minutes away from here and didn't want to cook. Maybe just keep your mouth shut and mind your business? Anyway, the food. The food was amazing in my book at least. My one sister had the Chicken Salad, my other sister had the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, the little ones shared the Chicken Tenders appetizer and I went with the Woodside Sampler. My sister that got the salad said it was good and that she would have added cheese to this if she would have known it did not come like that. My sister that got the wrap was fine with it until it started to fall apart, and she wasn't happy that a pickle spear was hidden under it which kind of got soaked up by the tortilla and some of the fries. For me, the Woodside Sampler is the way to go here if you want a ton of food and a chance to try many different things on the menu. For $11 you definitely get your money's worth. The sampler is comprised of chicken tenders, onion petals, cheese sticks, pizza logs, and jalapeño pickle spears. No substitutions allowed here. This also comes with your choice of two dipping sauces. When I said a ton of food, you need someone to help you eat this if this is all you are getting. Two chicken tenders, two home made cheese sticks, two pizza logs, not quite sure but I think it was like eight pickle spears, and a ton of onion petals. The star of this, in my opinion are the cheese sticks. Those were massive and amazingly breaded. The pizza logs were interesting. Cheese, pepperoni and sauce served to you egg roll style. I was so full that I had to share, there was no way around this. read more

To make matters worse, other people were walking right in front of me and were served immediately. We went this past week while visiting family in town. We sat on the patio which was great and all of our food was delicious! Very disappointed! New one of the owners when she was a waitress so tried to support small business... ordered the Nachos... Sunday night....no sour cream.. were out! Chips thick, cheese whiz and just some ground meat ... not chili! Dry and boring!! Not worth even taking home. Beef and cabbage soup was tasty... very thick and salty but flavorful. Ordered a Rueben without the turkey... but meager with little if any thousand island and made with pepper slaw instead of coleslaw. Chorizo penne dry and disappointing as well.. very lack luster. Really disappointed- in town visiting and always want to try local places. Took awhile for anyone to see us, when we ordered I asked for a craft beer, he said they didn't have it anymore (I found it in the cooler). Ordered nachos, burgers and pizza. There was so much meat/topping on the nachos but barely any chips. The burgers were ordered medium and were rare. The pizza is about the only thing to come out correct. So Woodside Bar and Grill is more Bar and less Grill. Great place to go if you are new to the area like me. I went on a Friday night. No cover if you get there before 10pm. They stop serving the full menu at 10pm. They have fried appetizers till 11pm. I had chicken finger which was good. waitress was amazing. very funny and came to our table a bunch for drinks and food. I talked with about 6 staff members and all were very nice. Then they close at 2am. There are 3 parts to place. A sports bar area with large TV's, a large out door patio with a bar so people can talk and chain smoke, and a separate building with loud club music so you can dance. This is the ultimate trifecta for everyone in your group. Everyone can split up and do their thing and all have a good time. There are lots of good looking people that come out too so that's a bonus. It is a great atmosphere and a must if you are in Johnstown for a weekend. read more

Came here on my 21st birthday and it was a lot of fun! Just your regular sports bar but they have a giant screen playing sports games and the staff and other patrons were all really nice and friendly. The drinks were tasty and the bartender was so sweet in helping us decide what we wanted and telling us about cocktails. We booked the back room for a Showerbration. Due to the pandemic it was not possible to hold the event inside as we had planned. The staff and owners worked with us and set up the outdoor patio. The space had been pressure washed and set up accordingly the morning of our event. We needed additional room for doorprizes and the staff quickly and without complaint set up extra tables. Everyone was extremely accommodating and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced!!!! Our guests were very pleased as well! Woodside is our favorite restaurant in Johnstown. The food, service, and atmosphere are outstanding. Every manager, bartender, and server we have met has been genuinely concerned about every facet of our experience of being there. Prices are very responsible for "bar" food and the higher $ dinners are worth their price. Excellent rotating selection of top notch craft beers on tap, and many more to choose from in the cooler. Great place for families for lunch and dinner. I would estimate we have been there over 50 times since it opened. We have always had a great dinning experience and would highly recommend Woodside to anyone. read more

Decided to try this new place after a write up in the local paper. We won't be listening to the paper again any time soon as this was such a disappointing experience. Waitress didn't know what they had to drink or anything about the specials; drink reorders (when they bothered to ask) and food (greasy pizza and cold burgers) took forever to arrive; staff complained about pushing tables together to accommodate the group; and, worst of all, when deficiencies where pointed out to management, comments were met with indifference. Could forgive some of the problems based on the "newness" of the joint but, when the excuses consisted of "the owner isn't in tonight", "the manager isn't in tonight", and "the head cook isn't in tonight", we began to wonder if anyone involved in the operation had any experience in the restaurant industry. May be an okay place to watch sporting events as they do own a king sized television but (1) call before you go to be certain the place is still in operation and (2) don't go with high expectations for anything but the size of the TV screen. read more
