Good food good service, just a hole in the wall that you wouldn't find on the beaten path.

First time at the bar/restaurant. Great food and beer selection. Top notch staff and they had a band the night we were there.

I organized a team dinner for 36 people after a softball day, and Beer Tree Brew made the…read morereservation process incredibly easy. I had to change the headcount twice, confirmed the reservation multiple times because of the size of the group, and they even moved us into the beer hall to accommodate everyone. Communication leading up to the event was excellent. Unfortunately, about 30 minutes before our reservation, I received a call that the kitchen had been shut down due to an emergency plumbing issue. I completely understand that emergencies happen and don't fault the restaurant for something outside of their control. We were offered the option to delay our reservation by 30-45 minutes while they waited for an update, but there was no guarantee the kitchen would reopen. After discussing it with the group, we had to scramble to find another location. I appreciate that someone called rather than having us show up and receive the news, but with a party of this size, I wish there had been more proactive communication, the GM thought she had called me but totally understood when dealing with an emergency. The reservation process itself was outstanding and talking with Jessica about options at their other location was great. Hopefully we can try the Factory if we are ever back in town.

We love Beer Tree. We have been going there pretty much since they opened. While the beer has…read moreremained exceptional the food has taken a serious hit in quality. Went to Factory last night and ordered the fiesta bowl and was highly disappointed. Over cooked rice, barely any corn or beans and the chicken was lacking in flavor. Overall the taste was pretty bland had to get extra sauce to put on it just so I could eat it. Someone else got the chicken caprese and there was one basil leaf on the entire sandwich! Chicken was dry and had no flavor. Chips were way too salty and inedible. Really disappointed, the quality continues to go down while the prices go up. At some point the "our operating costs are going up" spin will only get you so far while the overall taste and quality of the food continues to decline.

It looks like a hole in the wall bar, and maybe it is, but as soon as we stepped in we were immediately greater warmly by the bartender and told to have a seat. Sorry I didn't get his name, but he was incredible, obviously pinging us as out of towners, but treating us kindly, even offering table service as they weren't busy. We ordered drinks which he brought immediately and let us look over the menu. He came back and took our order , all the while conversing with us and other patrons , clearly regulars. Kitchen staff brought out our food and it was hot and delicious! My wings were cooked perfectly, had a mix of flats and drums and were sauced very well (mild). My son got a quesadilla and it was dripping with melted cheese and he said it was one of the best he's ever had. My husband got pierogis and cheese curds and raved about the flavor. The bill came and since it was happy hour, we were very pleasantly surprised with how affordable dinner was for the three of us. We had a wonderful meal and experience and would definitely be back if we are ever in the area again.

I remember the check for four people was barely 15 bucks. The best pizza and burgers on the planet! Yes, its outdated and could use some TLC inside, but we went there for the delicious food, period. As I got older and had a car, I would go there on weekends w/my buddies. Everyone loved the food. The Oasis is the first pizza I've ever had that was square cut. Fast forward to 2024, I live in Largo Fl now and every pizza I order, I order square cut. I wish I had a transporter (star trek), to go to the Oasis on weekends. I miss it a lot. There is one pizza place down here that is pretty close to the Oasis quality. And I fondly remember the Oasis when we go there to eat. Thx-John H

The home of the "famous" Hot Pie since 1918, The Oasis on Harry L Dr. in Johnson City is one of the…read morearea's oldest dining establishments. Not much to look at from the outside, the inside is a nice little space with the bar (complete with giant fish tank) off to the right and some tables and booths up the stairs by the kitchen. I did not care for the blaring music (about four volume levels higher than I would've preferred) which was playing while I was there. I got the ever-famous Hot Pie. Weirdest pizza I've ever had. Had to be cheddar cheese instead of the usual mozzarella. The crust was soft and bready and had an off-putting taste I didn't really like. Now, had I been drunk at the time....I might be telling a different story. But hey, they've been in business for 92 years. For a local dive bar that's a pretty solid run. I don't know if I'll ever go back myself, but I think there's a lot of folks who would really like it there, so I'd imagine come 2102, another 92 years from now, they'll still be cranking out the Hot Pie like they've been doing since Woodrow Wilson occupied the White House.
